Trump’s party affiliation is actually rather fascinating. Starting from the 80s, he has almost always switched to whichever party was not holding the White House. Basically, he always positioned himself opposed to the current powers, despite not really changing his opinions.

What are Marigold's opinions on Spike, Cadance, and Shining Armor?
Spike - She’s heard the stories and is very appreciative of what he did. Just like all the other crystal pones.
Cadance - She’s a little bit afraid of her. She feels Cadance has heard all the stuff about her and is aware of the drug use. And because of that, she’ll have her thrown in prison. What Mari doesn’t know (in my headcanon) is that Cadance feels sympathy for her, and just wants to help her get clean.
Shining Armor - Same, but with him being the head of the guard in the Empire, Shining might just actually do it.

She would be an introvert. The poor girl is so damaged psychologically from having to live through the death of her father and Sombra’s reign (which is why she’s a druggie). So one-on-one interactions outside of Lavender are tough for her.
