On the left is Charun, holding a hammer, while the figure on the right, holding a torch, is Vanth.

Summoner Saga - Eurynomos

(Hellenistic)

The big man depicted above is technically not Eurynomos. Representing the sin of gluttony, Eurynomos is an obscure figure from ancient Greece said to eat the corpses of the dead. No depiction of him survives to this day. Pausanias describes a picture of him, saying he has red skin and is seated on a vulture’s skin, but that’s about it. I’ve chosen to use the image of Charun, from Etruscan mythology, as the basis for my drawing, replacing the original’s red skin with dark blue. He kind of reminds me of the oni which serve various roles in the Japanese Hell.
