Rest in peace, Chase Barker McElroy.
And not soon after Asher grew up, Uncle Chase left with the Watcher.
Alec said that he was playing darts, and then just stopped, with a smile on his face.
And then he just faded away.
I hope Asher remembers him a little when he gets older.
Though I didn’t see much of Alec or Makena, I did talk to Atticus at the party.
He said he’s really glad Asher’s around. The four of them have arranged their work schedules so that someone’s always around to take care of him.
They all have a chance to bond with the baby without anyone getting overworked.
And they all have time for themselves as well.
It seems life is going really well for them!
I went to spend some time with Uncle Ash. We had a lovely chat about family. He was really missing Aunt Agnes.
And then he got up to get a sandwich and
well, didn’t.
I’m kind of glad I was there, but there’s a hole in my heart that is going to be empty for a while.
Alec’s house was awfully exiting, too,
and for somewhat similar reasons,
though not completely the same...
Uncle Bruno, however,
I’m really going to miss him!
He’s the closest thing I ever had to a Father, which is prob’ly why I’m a weensy bit jealous of Sienna. Uncle Bruno always took care of all of us. Even Mom remembers how he’d just drop everything to pick up the nearest baby and feed it, or cuddle it.
Watcher Rest Your Soul, Uncle Bruno!
The rest of the family had a pretty quiet day. Just normal carrying on.
Atticus is still working at the family trade, lemonade sales. He said Romana seems cool about Jordan and George.
Zach hasn’t frozen to death yet, though with tomorrow’s snow day, maybe someone will convince him to sleep inside?
Uncle Thor and Aunt Tish’s puppies are just tiny and adorable.
So, life as usual...or as usual as it can be in this strange, long winter. As for us,
