📓 - If your character keeps a journal, what is the most secret thought they keep in it? (For any/all of them!)
Marika keeps a journal, though she nowadays writes infrequently to it. Her most secret thought is that she felt both heart-breaking grief and relief when her brother - a soldier who had been turned into Death Knight during the Northrend campaign - fell in the siege of Lordaeron.
Merces writes to his journal daily. His secret are the descriptions of fortresses amidst the sea of clouds and other vague memories of a world that is not Azeroth - and the concern that those vague memories, which grow fainter every day, are in fact nothing but delusions and he doesn’t truly know who he is.
Chasim doesn’t keep a journal, though he has sometimes joked that he could write a memoir after he is retired. The thought he would be most hard-pressed to reveal is that sometimes his old injuries do in fact ache and that there are days when even him struggles to keep smiling.
Aenor sometimes writes journal entries in his notebook, but his more secret thoughts are kept in a separate journal. He has wondered if his life would have been better if had been able to “defect” and join the high elves after the fall of Quel’thalas.
Viridiel most likely doesn’t keep a journal, but if he did, only the journal would know how fear still grips his heart every time death comes close and how he still hasn’t grown completely numb about the sight of corpses; something only alcohol seems to provide a respite from.
