**Cheapie Product of the Day**
*-*Cheapie Product of the Day*-* Leave-In's----> As I Am Leave in Conditioner! [Where to Buy]--->Sally's Beauty Supply [What's it Cost?]--> Around $10.50, but Sally's often has sales for like $2 off! [Ingredients You Say?]-->Aqueous (Water, Aqua Purificada, Purified) Extracts: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut)¹ and Phyllanthus emblica (Amla)¹, Cetyl Alcohol¹, Citric Acid¹, Phytosterols¹, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit (Saw Palmetto) Extract¹, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract¹(Green Tea), Glycerin, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract¹, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract¹, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Stalk Extract¹, Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root¹, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Potassium Sorbate, Fragrance/Parfum, Limonene. This is a nice light leave in conditioner with a consistency similar to Kinky Curly Knot Today. Has a good amount of moisture and slip on my hair. I have paired it under a few different gels and curl creams with good results. Hasn't flaked on me, built up, or made my hair feel dry. So if you're looking for something reasonable on the ground...Give it a Try! (For those that wonder, it is also Silicone, Paraben, Protein, and Sulfate FREE.)
Haircare Info-Thought I Posted This Already.
[Quick Thoughts on Bleached/Dyed Hair Aftercare] So even though I don't have a set regimen and I think any regimen you choose to follow is your choice, especially if it keeps your hair looking and feeling the way you like. I really would like to point out that if you have ever considered going the #CG or #CurlyGirl route, now may be a time to actually try it out if you have bleached and colored your natural mane. Shampoo can already be drying, but it will also strip your color faster. So the equation of naturally thirsty hair + drying of the hair due to harsh shampoo + new color = A Hot Ass Mess! You have already depleted the hair at it's most basic keratin structure by bleaching it so now is the time to work on putting that moisture back and it seems pretty counterproductive to spend time deep conditioning and moisturizing just to take your hair back to ground zero every time you wash. I'm not saying you have to give up using shampoo, but opt to find a moisturizing Sulfate Free shampoo or even a cleansing conditioner. Hell I use VO5 or Suave to Co-Wash my hair! But PLEASE keep in mind that what makes the #CurlyGirl method worth it and good for your hair is you have to monitor what ingredients are in the REST of your products! Your leave ins, gels, curl creams, curl pudding, waxes, pastes, hairsprays, ect! I try to use mainly [silicone and mineral oil free] products because then I don't have to worry about anything building up on my hair rendering the act of Co-Washing ineffective. Thus my ground zero hair already has a good level of moisture before I even wash and my color stays vibrant longer! Remember always do what you feel is working for your hair, I'm not here to preach but if you're not feeling your current routine..might wanna try something new. Peace, ♥, and #NaturalHair Lee
So one of my reflections/aspirations for this year was that I wanted to do better by myself. I have been for the most part doing well with it...giving myself more solid "me" time doing things I enjoy, because despite being home 95% of the time I spend a good chunk of that time being unhappy with shit.
So me being more active with my YouTube channel, planning out things I'd like to do that are fun and creative with it brings me happiness.
Ordering and now playing my little guitar learning game is something I have been enjoying for the past few days and I want to continue with it.
Taking my multivitamin every morning and getting in my coconut oil throughout the day makes me feel good. Along with that, just trying to incorporate better food into my life...that's still kind of a struggle because of my situation at home, but it's getting there.
Spending more time on my looks; keeping my skin clean, moisturized, and calm. Deep conditioning, oiling, and moisturizing my hair more consistently. All of these things, I have seen a change in my appearance with it.
Still working on the doing better by my body regarding physical activity, this is something I really need to do better with. One day at a time though.
I'd like to find some good books and get back into reading more often.
Actually finishing tasks/goals I set. I think I'm going to start writing them down in a notebook, like mini goals for the day and cross them off as I do them to help me feel accomplished.
Getting back into job hunting, handling things that need to be done for school; like finishing my applications which shouldn't really take me as long as they have haha.
....hmm, writing this post actually made me wanna get up and do the laundry I've been putting off for days so I'm going to go do it then grab my "mini-goal" notebook.
[Remember, even things that make us feel good we can put off doing. It's not that you mean to, it's just once you have gotten into the habit of procrastinating for whatever reason...it can be hard to get back into the swing of it. But you can do it.]
I've gotten to this point with myself and other people's negativity lately where I just wanna be like BITCH DO YOU NOT SEE THAT MY HAIR IS BLUE!? DO I LOOK LIKE I GIVE A FUCK!? Then I realize I need to calm down a bit.. *Shrugs*
