In a small town like Port Vale, the library had more than one use. Not only did it house books, but also all the town archives. Or at least the public ones. Karina had already checked out most of the books she thought would be useful, concerning the history of the town. But today she was looking for something a little more specific. 

Henry guided her up the front steps, and into the building, Karina remembering where the front desk was, making their way over. “Oh hi.” She smiled at noticing someone behind the desk. “I was wondering if you would be able to help me find some articles written about the Castle of the Isle?”

May 1799 Hyde Park, Kensington Garden @asterofpomerania​

Graham had never witnessed a buzz around Kensington Gardens like the one on this day. A special occasion, noted by the significant not-so-discreet stations of royal guards around. The Queen must be on site. Best to avoid her, however... Graham was nosy. And he wouldn’t get anywhere with stone-faced guards in finding any decent, viable information on what was occurring on the grounds. 

His main interest was: did she survey the park for the final official event of the season? Because that would be extremely important to know. Urgent, even. Graham had plans, always. More than anyone would give him credit for. They were usually dashed at the last minute too. Sending him into a tailspin of constructing what should have been but wasn’t ever as elegant or surprising. Ideas set to go up in flames after weeks or months of preparation-- something infuriating would invariably happen. 

Not this season. Fucking hell it would not happen.

Suspicions swirled in his head, only distracted by a blonde nearby acting... strangely. "Pardon but do you know why Queen Charlotte has arrived at the gardens today?”
