Mea Culpa

TITLE: Mea Culpa CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 1/? AUTHOR: OlympianWine (both on FF.net and AO3) ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine a human au where Loki is a lawyer who tries to take down Thanos. Because of this he’s being hunted and you get drawn into the mess. & Imagine being Loki’s ex, and him still having feelings for you.

RATING: Mature (may change) NOTES/WARNINGS: Hey, so I was browsing this blog a few days ago and the two imagines linked above brought out the writer in me for the first time in ages. I don’t have a tumblr and have never posted on here before, so I hope you guys like this. There are no warnings for the first chapter - but throughout the fic there will be drug use, language, violence, and sexual scenes.

EleMenT Chapter 1

A young teen with messy white hair wearing a black T-shirt and torn jeans walks down the streets of a large city, looking at a small little device that looked like a cell phone. On the screen was a map with a little gem icon in a pulsating red circle. The boy smiles and says “It’s right here in this city! I’m close! I’m close!” with excitement. This teen boy is no ordinary boy. In fact he’s not human at all but an Elemental, a powerful being who controls the forces of nature. His element is wind, considered to be the weakest kind of all Elementals. The teen Elemental’s name is Damon, and he is in a competition to find the most gems scattered though out the whole world to become a guardian of Earth. “Once I become a guardian, you’ll all will have no choice but to respect me and all Wind Elementals!” He once shouted in high school when he found out about the competition. But all the students merely laughed at him, thinking that he’s just one big joke. “I’ll show them, I’ll blow them away!” He said to himself as he walks down the city streets. Damon used his gem radar in the little device to pinpoint how close he is to the gem. He runs around the city to search for it, climbing up buildings to search the rooftops and running down to the underground subways with hopes of find it, but he had no luck. Damon sighs “Where the hell could it be?” He looks on his cell phone again and sees the little gem icon was moving way from his location. “W-What!?” He shouted in shock. “Damn! Could someone already snatched it right under my nose?” As he walks back up to the surface a man walks up to him. “Excuse me, but you wouldn’t happen to be a Wind Elemental right?” Damon looked at this man with a raised brow. “Umm, yeah…why?” He said. “What does this human want with me?” He thought. “Well you see, a different Elemental told me to give you this letter here” the man said, handing an envelope to the teen boy. Damon looks at the letter with a confused look and takes it, quickly tearing off the top and reading what it had to say. Dear Damon, Foolish little brother, I don’t know why you decided to participate in the gem hunt but you know that you’re too weak and pathetic to win. I already found the gem in this city first so you wouldn’t get it. You should just give up now before you get killed by another elemental.                         Sincerely,                         David Damon glares at the letter angrily and crumples the paper. “THAT GODAMN SHOWOFF OF A JERK! HE REALLY PISSES ME OFF!” He shouted loudly in the air as wind spirals around him. Everyone around him looks at him funny. “Who the heck do you think he is just shouting like that?” “Man now my ears hurt.” “He thinks he can just do that because he’s an Elemental…” they murmured. Damon humphed and walks away, whispering “Obnoxious humans…” If you were wondering about him, David is indeed Damon’s brother. But David is a Thunder Elemental who can control electricity and generate thunderstorms. Thunder Elementals are considered to be one of the most powerful types and very popular amongst them. The reason why they are brothers is because while Wind Elementals are low class types, Damon was adopted by a clan of Thunder Elementals. Damon and David never got along as David always had high grades and was popular with the ladies and Damon had bad grades and was treated as an outcast, being teased and bullied by everyone. Damon never won a battle against his brother and always ended up defeated and humiliated. He’s biggest dream is to defeat David in a one on one battle to prove that he’s not a weak embarrassment. The white haired teen just groans out of frustration and looks at his gem radar. “Let’s see…” he said, “Where could the closest gem possible to my location be?” He looks closely at the screen and blinks. “…in a jungle near the city? How can there be a jungle near a city?!” Damon shouted out of confusion. “Oh well, this time that gem will be mine!” He said with an eager grin on his face. Using control over wind he levitates himself in the air and flies towards his destination. After arriving in the jungle that was oddly not that far from the city, Damon was able to find the green gem on top of a large tree. “Sweet! My favorite color!” He said happily as he climbed up the tree. But before he was able to grab it, a bolt of lighting strikes the branch Damon was standing on and causes him to fall to the hard ground. “Ow ow ow ow ow!” He said holding his head with tears in the corners of his eyes. He looks up and sees a tall teen boy with long black hair and hazel colored eyes. He wore a white sleeveless t-shirt and baggy jeans. He also wore a long black opened jacket. He stands on a branch from a different tree close by. He jumps off the branch and lands on his feet in front of Damon. “I knew you wouldn’t listen to my warning in my letter, so it looks like I must beat you in order to make you understand…” The teen said. Damon grits his teeth as he stares at this boy in the eyes. “David…” he growls out. Damon gets up off the ground quickly and points to his brother. “You asshole! I found this gem first! So get outta the way!” He shouted angrily. “Hmph…” David replied “I was waiting for you to arrive here, so I’m the one that got here first. But instead of getting the gem, I’m going to fight you for it first. The rules of the gem hunt states that when more then one Elemental finds a gem, they must battle each other and the last one standing gets the gem.” Damon grins “You don’t have to tell me twice! I’ll kick your ass!” David glared “I’m not finished yet. Not only does the victor wins that gem, they also can claim one gem from each of the losers of the battle.” Damon’s grin just gets bigger. “That’s just great! When I beat you I can get this green gem and get the gem you got from the city!” David sighs and shakes his head. “Foolish little brother, this for teaching you a lesson for ignoring my warning. I will defeat you and you will quit this competition…” The younger brother just scoffs and says “Oh yeah, try it! I’m all pumped up! I’m gonna really mess you up!” David jumps back to get distance between them. “Fine, do as you want” David said, looking at his brother with an emotionless look. Damon charges at him as spiraling wind gathers around his hand. “Tornado Fist!” Damon shouted as he aimed a punch at David’s face, but the black haired teen merely tilts his head to the side and easily avoids it. A large blast of spinning wind comes out of his fist and struck down a tree behind David. “Wind Gust Kick!” Damon uses a powerful gust of wind with his kick to strike David in the side of his head, but he merely stops Damon’s kick with one hand with an annoyed look on his face. Damon growls in frustration and gathers wind in a ball within his hands and shouts “Hurricane Bomb!” He tries to shove the ball into David’s chest, but he suddenly disappears in a flash before the bomb could hit him. It explodes into a huge wave of destructive wind, destroying several trees in the process. Damon turns around and sees David standing behind him unharmed. Angered, Damon takes a deep breath and blows out a big gust of wind from his mouth. David jumps high in the air to easily avoid the attack which destroyed more trees. “ Damn it!” Damon shouted to himself. He looks up and sees David way air, slowly descending back to the ground. “Air Cutter Blades!” Damon used his two index fingers and swiped them downward, creating two near invisible crescent shaped blades of wind that can cut through anything and sends them at David who just disappears in a flash again. He reappears on top of a fallen tree facing his brother with no emotion in his eyes. “Ok that is it!” Damon shouted “Get ready for my strongest attack! Great Tornado Emperor!” He spins rapidly and creates a large tornado around him, sucking in sand, branches, leaves, and other debris. Damon kept spinning and saw David get sucked into the tornado. “Time to end this!” He shouted. He lifted his arms up and stretched them out. “Air Cutter Hell!” Damon shouted as many air blades spreads throughout the inside the tornado and flew right out of it as well. This attack would of sliced up objects inside and outside the tornado. After sending out enough air blades, Damon stops spinning to cease the tornado. Sand and sliced up debris rained down all around Damon. He looked around to see if he got David and he was no where in sight. “Did I slice him into small pieces?” Damon thought. Suddenly from behind him, a voice spoke and said “Foolish as always…” Damon turned around in surprise and saw his brother standing behind him with a long bolt of electricity in his hand. “Electric Whip!” David shouted as he strikes Damon with it in his side. “Guuaaaah~!” Damon shouts in pain as he was sent flying into a tree with electricity coursing though his body. He opens his eyes to see David right in front of him staring at him with his emotionless look as electricity charges in his hand. “No no! Wait wait!” Damon said while waving his arms up and down franticly, but David ignores his pleads. “Lightning Blast~!” he yelled and unleashes a huge bold of electricity from his hand that blasts Damon through many trees , electrocuting him in the process. Damon lays on the ground, his twitching body covered with burn marks and smoke emitting from his mouth, coughing. The whites of his eyes were showing. David walks up to his defeated brother with both the green gem and the blue gem from the city in between his index and middle fingers. “I tried to warn you, but you wouldn’t listen. Luckily you are my brother so I did not kill you. If I was someone else then you would be dead right now.” He puts the gems in a little container where contenders of the gem hunt puts the gems they won inside. “Hopefully you understand now, so quit now before you die!” David shouted angrily. He then disappears in a flash. Damon lays on the ground with an annoyed look on his face and getting occasional electric shocks from the lightning coursing though his body. “…asshole” He said calmly, then shouts loudly “ASSHOLE ASSHOLE ASSHOLE!!!” as he furiously swings his arms and legs up and down. He then gets up and yells “I don’t care what anybody says! I’m not gonna give up! I’m gonna win this competition one way or another! And no one, not even my big show off jerk of a brother will stop me! Hell yeah!” He takes out his gem radar. “…what the?” He saw it wasn’t working, the screen was blank no matter how many times he pushes the on button. “Damn that David! His electricity probably short circuited it!” Suddenly electricity coursed though Damon’s body one last time and traveled into the radar, making it work again. “…wow, that was convenient” Damon said as he looked at the device with a puzzled look. “Ok, enough standing around. I got gems to find!” He said excitedly. He sees that the closest gem to where he is right now is many miles away. He gathers wind around his feet and launches himself in the air to travel through the sky towards the next gem. Twenty minutes passed and Damon arrived to the location of the next gem. He stands in front of a large abandoned nuclear power plant. “Ahh geeze…” Damon said, holding his nose from the horrible stench coming from the large building. Better hurry up and find the gem before I throw up…” Damon walks inside to look for the gem, the place in a wreck as many barrels were tipped over, the metal walls were all rusty, green pools of toxic waste all over the floor, and the machines were covered in cobweb. Damon made sure to be careful not to step in the green puddles. “Man this place seen better days…” When he wasn’t paying attention he slips on a green puddle and falls on his back. “Oh…wonderful.” He said sarcastically. He then sees in shock that his shoe completely disintegrates. “Sheesh, What the hell is this stuff anyways?!” Damon shouted. He gets up quickly and accidentally steps his other foot in another green puddle. “Aww shit…” Tired and shoeless, Damon comes across a huge room with a large shaft down the center. He looks down at the pit and sees eternal darkness. He takes a whiff of the smell coming from it and coughs a lot. “God damn, did someone take a crap in this hole or what!?” He took a closer look and saw a grey gem wedged into the shaft walls. Damon sighs and says “Of course it has to be right there in the dangerous, hazardous, rancid pit. How did it get there anyways?” After enough complaining, he climbs down the shaft using pipes that were sticking out of the walls. Using his teeth he clamps onto the gem and yanks it out. Once he climbs back to the surface he sees a pair of bulky and hairy legs. As he looks up he sees they belong to a buff man with a bald head wearing no shirt and only a pair of shorts. He didn’t even had shoes on. “Uhh….hi” Damon said with the gem still in his teeth. The man grabs Damon by the neck and lifts him up. He grabs the gem and yanks it out of Damon’s teeth. He then proceeds to toss Damon into a wall. As the Wind Elemental gets up after being slammed into a thick metal wall, he glares at his attacker and shouts. “Who the hell are you cue ball!?” The buff man grins and cracks his knuckles. “I’m Dan, an Earth Elemental” he said as he stabs his hand into the floor and pulls out a huge chunk of earth. Earth elementals can freely control the rock and soil beneath them, and can shape the ground to make hills or create earthquakes. Even if the earthly soil is underneath pavement, metal, or tile flooring, they can still control it and summon it from under the floor. “Oh, you wanna go big guy? Sounds fine to me!” Damon said as he prepares for battle. “Taste some Devastating Wind!” He takes a deep breath and attempts to breath out a strong gust of wind, but all that comes out is a little blow of air. Damon blinks while making a fishy face. “…” He puts his hand out and shouts “Gale Wave!” Hoping a large blast of wind to come out, Damon instead only has a small little harmless breeze blow from his hand. “…” He gets in a cold sweat as Dan raises a non-existent eyebrow. “…damn, all out of elemental energy. Must of used it all up fighting David and flying here…” Suddenly Damon gets smacked by an airborne chunk of ground, bursting into pieces as he falls to the ground. Dan grins and says “This will be too easy…” Damon gets up and rubs his head as blood runs down the side of his face. “Fine! I don’t need any wind power, I’ll beat you down with my fists!” Damon rushes towards Dan raising a fist. Dan puffs out his chest when Damon punches it. “…ow” He pulls back his hand as it surges with pain. “Nice try little twerp…” Dan said. “My skin is as hard as bedrock, your measly little fists can’t break though it.” “Aww shit…” Damon said as he tries to make a run for it. “Ground Mountain!” Dan stomp the ground and a large column of hard earth shoots up from under Damon and his him in the stomach and slams him to the ceiling, causing him to cough up blood. Damon tries to get free. “The gem is yours…I can’t fight…” He said. Dan smirks “I can’t let an opportunity to kill off a weak Wind Elemental just run away” he said grimly as he rips out two more chunks of earth. He walks up to the large column. “I will finish you off right here” he said as he kicks the column into pieces to make Damon fall to the ground. “Ground Burger!” Dan jumps up before Damon actually hit’s the floor and slams the two chunks into him to sandwich him in between. “Got ya!” Dan said with a smile. He tosses the large chunk into the air and jumps up to punch it into pieces hitting Damon as well. Damon falls to the ground bruised, bloodied, and defeated. Dan grabs Damon by the neck again and lifts him up, holding the grey gem in his other hand. “Now I’m gonna make sure I and anyone one else don’t have to waist their time with you in the future. I’m ending your pathetic existence right here right now!” Damon was barely conscious and didn’t say anything. Dan puts the gem in his container on his side and grabs an empty canister to stuff Damon in. Dan then walks out of the building and up a tall cliff over a lake. “You’re gonna go for a little ride. Tell all my previous victims I said hello!” Dan drops the canister and kicks it down the cliff. “Happy trails!” He calls out. The canister rolls down the cliff bumping into rocks along the way. It gets caught by a tree root sticking out but Damon falls out of it and rolls all the way down into the water. As he sinks like a limp rag doll he opens his eyes slightly. “I can’t believe it…this is it. I’m gonna die here. I’m gonna die just like my brother told me. I hate it when he’s always right…it’s so annoying. The worst part is I couldn’t get one measly gem…wait…what’s that?” Damon sees a faint glow in the distance. “Great, here’s the light, might as well go towards it…wait a minute…” He swims towards the glow and as he got closer it got brighter and brighter. His eyes widen as he saw the shine coming from a dark blue gem inside a bubble. Damon smiles and cries tears of joy. “I found one! I found one!” He pops the bubble with his finger and grabs the gem. He quickly swims up and raises to the surface taking a big breath of air. He raises the blue gem in his hand triumphantly. “YES! I GOT ONE! TAKE THAT DAVID!” He laughs happily and floats on his back while holding the gem in his hands. He closes his eyes with a smile. “I got one…I really got one” he said softly as he floats with the water. Hours later Damon lies in the sand on the beach after being washed up from the lake. He was unconscious, fainted from exhaustion. Suddenly a figure walks up to his body and looks down at him. With a sigh it picks him up in it’s arms and carries him away…
