“Heeeeeey~! Dante wake up already!” Dominic’s voice calls out. “Please stop that! He still needs his rest!” a woman’s voice said. “He’s been resting for several days now, and I’m bored as heck over here…” Dominic said. Dante slowly opens his eyes, his vision blurry at first but clears up in seconds. He sees Dominic standing at the foot of his bed with Veronica berating him. “You’ve just woke up less than a half hour ago, you have no room to judge…” she told him. “Yeah but I’m awake now so it’s time for him to do the same. Time for Dominic’s Wake Up Call Chop!” He said, putting his hand over Dante’s head and got ready to karate chop the top of his head. “Stop that at once!” Veronica shouts. “I’m awake you idiot…” Dante said as he sat up. “Dante!! Good to see you’re alright!” Dominic gives a very hard pat on his back, causing an irritated Dante to make a loud grunt. “Ow…” he said softly. “Don’t do that! He’s still injured!” Veronica shouts. “I’m fine…” Dante said and began getting out of bed. “Ah! Stay in bed! You’re not ready to leave yet!” she shouts at him. “Yeah come on, let’s go see how the guys are doing eh?” Dominic grins as he headlocks Dante. “Oi…” Dante groans out. “Will you both listen to me!?” Veronica shouts at them.
In the manner of seconds the both of them lays in their bed with a big bump on each of their heads, both having tears streaming down their face. “Now you two stay in bed, I’ll get the commander…” Veronica said, her fist smoking as she walks away. “…so, we lost big time didn’t we?” Dante said, starting down at the foot of his bed. “Yeah but hey, we’re alive so we’ll get him eventually!” Dominic grinned at him as he spoke. “Hmn… but we never loose…” Dante said. “It was bound to happen ya know? I mean we’re pretty amazing when we fight together, but there will always be someone stronger! That’s why we just gotta get stronger ourselves!” Dominic told him. “…” Dante stays silent. “You guys did a lot better than I could ever do…” a voice said. They looked over at a bed across from them and saw Dale laying quietly. “Oh hey, sorry did we wake you?” Dominic asked. “No, I’ve been awake. Too much in deep thought about my… failure” Dale told them. “Hey come on you did your best out there” Dominic reassured him. “And my best didn’t do anything” Dale said. “Neither did ours…” Dante responded. Dominic looks at both of them and said after a sigh, “Jeeze guys, just be glad we made it in one piece eh?”
“He’s right! You three did an amazing job back there!” Grover said as he entered the room “Commander?” Dominic asked, surprised at his praise. “If you three haven’t hold the enemy off as long as you could, we’d have suffer many more casualties on our side. It ended in a stalemate, but at least neither of our enemies were victorious” Grover said. “Though I feel like I didn’t do anything…” Dale said. “Nonsense! You fought bravely to save your fellow troops! You’re a hero in my eyes!” Veronica suddenly shouted. “…?” All four of them were silenced by her sudden outburst. Her face turned red and she looked away in embarrassment. “I mean… you shouldn’t feel bad…” she said. “Well… if it hadn’t been you two, I wouldn’t be here today, that’s for sure” Dale said and looked at Dominic and Dante. “Thank you for saving my life” he said. Dante gives him a nod while Dominic smiles and gives him a thumbs up. “Alright you three, no more talking and get your rest!” Veronica told them. “Aw come on, we’re feeling fine!” Dominic swings his arm in a circle as he tried to convince her. “I wasn’t asking” Veronica said in a stern voice, channeling electricity between all her fingers in one hand. “!” All three of them quickly laid down in their beds perfectly still. “That’s better” she said.
Few days later, Dominic was at the base watching a news report on a small and old TV covering Theodore C. McLaren holding a meeting with both the human extremists and elemental extremists’ leaders to have them drop their weapons and stop the war. “I don’t know how far he’ll go with those two stubborn mules…” he commented to himself. “It would be a miracle if he could actually get them to agree to anything. “Though I do give him kudos for being brave; confronting those two warmongers and staying in a room with them.” He looked around and saw the place was nearly barren with only a few soldiers and staff. “Well, now my insecurities are in need of social activity but no one’s really here… hey Tom!” Dominic called out to a soldier. “Where did the general go?” he asked. “General Grover said something about helping a bunch of people who lost their homes during the war” Tom said. “Oh that’s cool of him. What about Dale?” Dominic asked. “Oh… him and Veronica went out somewhere… to be alone if you… ahem… catch my drift” Tom said with a sly smirk and winks.
“Err… I guess. Wait, what about Dante? He doesn’t usually leave the base unless he has a mission” Dominic said while scratching his head. “Dante? Hmmm… I think he went out scouting…” Tom said. “Ehh? For what? Without me?” Dominic said, pointing to himself with a sad look. “You were sleeping, what was he supposed to do?” Tom asked. “Wake me!” “Well he didn’t wanna be rude…” Tom said.
“Should be around here somewhere…” Dante said as he traversed a thick forest. He looked down at his map and said, “I heard the location from those two clearly…” he thought of what he overheard two human extremists soldiers say while he hid behind a tree a day ago, hoping to get intel from them. “Yeah, it’s a little mansion hidden in the forest, we take any elementals we can find and bring them there. Just north of here. Can’t miss it…” Dante eventually saw the small black mansion in the distance. “Finally… now I can rescue those elementals” he said and made his way towards it.
“Not bad Davis! You have a real mean right hook!” Dominic said as he walks with a fellow soldier from the base’s gym, both sweaty and lightly bruised and carrying towels and boxing gloves. “Keep training and you’ll best me yet!” he said with a grin. “I dunno bout that, no one can best you Novastar Bros., but thanks for the encouragement” Davis said happily. After they walk separate ways, spots Dante walking through the door. “Yo Dante! Where’ve you been man?” he asked. “How about a spar?” he asked, but saw Dante was walking with his head tilted down and his hands clutched into fists. “Hey you alright man? You’re brooding more than usual…” Dominic said. “….nothing. It’s nothing…” he quietly said. “Just… tired of this damn war. I’m going to lie down…” he walked passed Dominic without looking at him. “Well aright. All of us are tired of this war too, so just cross your fingers and hope it’ll end soon” Dominic said and walked away. He didn’t realize Dante’s arms were shaking, his eyes bloodshot and his pupils shrunken, his face covered in sweat, and his breaths deep and hoarse. “It will never end…” he whispered to himself.
Just one day later, a miracle happened when a message from the World Government shook the world and caught everyone by surprise: Theodore C. McLaren, a high ranking official and negotiator, was able to convince the leaders of both opposing supremist parties to cease fire, drop their weapons, come to an agreement, and sign a peace treaty. To this day it’s unknown how Theodore was able to get both leaders to stop fighting; there was no recording of their meeting as they wanted to keep it private. According to the government they were just as tired of fighting as everyone else. However the nightmare has finally ended for many. The war has ended. While watching the broadcast on the television, Dominic, Grover, Dale, Veronica, and all the rest cheered happily, throwing their arms in the air and some even crying tears of joy. All except Dante… who just stood there, leaning his back against the wall, staring at the TV with eyes like daggers as the events he witnessed after opening the black mansion’s doors were still clear and vivid in his mind. He heard the screams of despair, agony, fear, and pain of various elementals and saw the horrid acts the humans preformed on them.
“You’re what!?” Dominic shouts in shock. “Are you deaf? I said I want to travel the world…” Dante said, annoyed by his outburst. Several days has passed since the war ended. Everyone has been sent back home, the new government has been established for both humans and elementals to prevent any more race wars between the two. “Yeah but it seems so sudden, you never talked about doing that before…” Dominic scratched his head. “It was… a recent decision” Dante told him. They discussed their plans for the future after all the fighting has finally stopped. “Aw man… I was hoping you’d become a grandmaster with me!” Dominic said. “Stuck in an office teaching disobedient children all day every day? Not my thing… besides, there can only be one grandmaster per city remember?” Dante said. Dominic looked away, crossed his arms and said, “I could bend the rules a little and make us a pair…”
Dante sighs and looks off to the distance, “Sorry Dominic, I just hate the feeling of being cooped up in one place.” “Well do you like to wander around a lot… guess this means this is the end of the Novastar Brothers eh?” Dominic asked. “…of course not. We’re still brothers even apart” Dante said as he continued to stare out. “You got that right! I wish you luck bro!” Dominic grinned and puts his fist out. “…same to you, Grandmaster” Dante bumps fists with his. Dante leaves as Dominic watches, a concerned look on his face. “What’s wrong?” A woman next to him asked, having long brown hair and purple eyes [Dominic’s Future Wife: Barbra (Age 28)]. “I can’t shake the feeling that something’s wrong. It’s like a shadow was casted over him ever since a few days before the war ended… I don’t know what it is…” he told her.
“Maybe it was my fault for not realizing it sooner…” Dominic said back at the present as he took another swig of whiskey. “Why did you wanted to travel the world? To see if humans were really that bad? Or were you just trying to clear your mind? In any case… witnessing the tragedy of the Albatross Clan and learning it was a human responsible… it was the final nail in the coffin was it… the next time I saw you after all those years… you said you couldn’t believe in my dream of perfect co-existence between us elementals and humans…” he said, closing his eyes and remembering that day.
“After all these years I finally get to see you again and now you’re saying this nonsense?! We fought in a war to secure peace together, how can you just suddenly go against that?!” an angry Dominic shouts [Dominic, Age 44]. “The government can’t be trusted anymore… not with the sins I witnessed the humans commit…” Dante told him [Dante, Age 47]. “What are you talking about!? What sins?! I thought you wanted peace between humans and our race like I did!” “Things change…” Dante said, his hands shaking. “…” Dominic calmed down a little and began to say, “Dante, just what did you…” “Sorry Dominic…” Dante interrupted. “I cannot support you anymore. Humans and elementals living together is something I disagree with. Both must be separated… and I will do something about it…”
Dominic puts the bottle of whiskey which was now half full next to Dante’s cross. “You were suffering… weren’t you brother? I’m sorry… but I hope you found peace now” He got up and walked away from his brother’s grave, leaving a photo of them both when they were in the war. “Goodbye, Dante Novastar.”
“Ah you’re finally awake!” a nurse said as she entered the medical tent where Dale was lying in bed. He had several bandages wrapped around several parts of his body. He also has tubes hooked to a bag of blood next to him. “Mnn…” he groaned as he woke up. “What happened…?” he asked. “While the Novastars were fighting that space elemental, me and my buddy were able to pick you up and move you to our medical station” another soldier said, sitting in the bed next to him. He only had bandages wrapped around his left shoulder. “You passed out while we were carrying you; you gave us quite a scare. The nurse said you were ok, just lost quite a bit a blood. My pal’s still out there so I’m gonna go back in and help him in a bit” the soldier said. “Hey, you should be getting some rest, lay down!” the nurse told him. “What? I’m fine… just got a bullet in my shoulder, it’s out now. I can still fight…” “Ah… that’s right… I’ve got to get back in there too…” Dale weakly said as he attempted to get up from bed. “Not you too! Both of you stay in bed!” the nurse shouted. “Don’t make me taser you both…” she said with an intimidating glare as she had an electric current go through her index and middle finger {Nurse: Veronica Voltaroli (Age 18)}.
“…” Dale blinked as he looked at her. For some reason, he found her intimidating and fierce temper quite… attractive. “…what?” Veronica asked, blushing and looking away with a pout as she caught him looking at her. “!! That’s right… Dominic and Dante, what happened to them? Did they win? Did they lose?” he asked. “Actually… there hasn’t been a winner yet” the soldier said. “What!?” Dale shouted in shock. “Then… how’ve long…” “Eight hours…” the soldier said before Dale could finish. “Same as General Grover, he’s been fighting for eight hours straight…” the soldier said.
Eight hours has indeed passed since the two battles have started. The sun was beginning to rise and made the sky a deep orange and purple color, although not much light has shined yet. Dominic and Dante stood across from Lloyd, both of them battered and bleeding from heavy battle damage. Lloyd however, had only light damage. They didn’t made much progress after Dominic’s Space Exchange technique worked. However, they still stood their ground and stared their enemy down, refusing to give up. “Hey Dominic… got any more ideas?” Dante asked. “Sorry, but I’m spent…” Dominic told them. Both of them were breathing deeply from exhaustion. Lloyd began walking towards them, cracking his neck in anticipation. “Then… we go for broke?” Dante asked, gathering energy in his hands. “That’s right, just keep going will we win or drop!” Dominic grinned and tapped his fists together.
“I’m surprised General Grover…” Royd said as he stood in a field of large broken jade crystals, starting down the old elemental. Grover did his best to stay on his feet, despite having many bleeding injuries. “Even after all this and you’re still standing, that’s quite remarkable for a man your age” Royd said. “Bastard, ignoring me like that…” Alexander said. His mech had a few scrapes and scratches on it, as well as some crystals stabbed into it. “Hmm? Do you ever show praise to a fly after trying to swat it for so long? No, you get aggravated… cause it’s just a disgusting annoying insect” Royd said without even looking at him. “Insect huh?” Alexander said and pointed the mech’s shield at the two, the front opening up and revealing a gem. “Ever saw a fly with a giant LASER BEAM!?” he shouts as energy gathered around the gem, and then shoots a giant devastating beam of energy from it. Royd quickly disappears as he teleports, but Grover had no way of dodging. “Jade Wall!” Grover shouts and creates a giant wall made of thick green crystals, having several of them envelop over each other and make many layers. As the wall starts to break apart, Grover tried to continue making new layers to keep the wall up.
The beam finally stops and Grover still had a single layer of his Jade Wall standing, but it was heavily cracked and shattered not too long after. Grover fell on to his knees as he breathed heavily. “Damn it, that’s it… I’m spent…” he thought. Royd swipes his finger and tries to bend the buster’s arm, but is unable to break it. “Hmnn… guess this long battle is taking its toll on me…” he said. The buster begins to emit steam from various points and shakes as it moves. “Damn it, it’s getting overheated…” Alexander said. Suddenly his transceiver began to go off and spoke, “Colonel Alexander, this is Sergeant Leroy, please response!” “…” Alexander answered it. “Colonel Alexander here…” “Most of our army are down and we have very little reserves left. While we dealt a massive blow to the enemy armies, we too suffered quite a loss. I advise that we retreat…” Leroy said. “…very well, have all remaining soldiers pull out and return to base” Alexander said. “Yes sir!” Leroy spoke. “Well, as sad it is to say I must take my leave. I’ll finish my business with the both of you some other time. Sooner or later, the human race will take their place as the top race, you better remember that!” Alexander said with a grin as his Elemental Buster flies off.
“Big words from someone who has to use a hunk of junk to fight evenly with us…” Royd said. “I could keep going for a few more hours myself, however I’m sure my soldiers are exhausted by now so for their sake I’ll retreat too, for now…” He turns his head to Grover and smiles. “I give you my praise human lover, you lasted a lot longer than I thought you would. You’re a worthy opponent” he said. “…” Grover looked down to the ground, feeling defeat and shame. “Now now, no need to be so down. We’ll settle this another time and actually finish it. Rest up and prepare yourself till then” Royd told him. He got out his own transceiver and spoke into it. “Lloyd, we’re finished here. We’re going to regroup to the rendezvous point and make our retreat” There was no response. “…Lloyd, do you hear me? ……… Lloyd! This is your father speaking, answer me!” Still, no response. “…damn, he might be having ‘too much fun’ right now…”
Dominic and Dante where lying on the ground, severely injured with blood all over them. Despite that, they were still conscious. Dominic tried to get up, pushing his arms against the ground to lift his body as blood dripped on the ground. “I can’t give up now… I have to… get back up again…” he thought as he struggled to force himself off the ground, but it was all for naught as he collapsed on the ground once more. Dante watched him struggled, clutching his fist in aggravation. He couldn’t move without feeling severe pain; as well as the pain of utter defeat. “Damn this guy… he’s a monster… even after we gave everything we got…” he thought and shuts his eyes tightly and gritted his teeth. “…it wasn’t good enough at all!” Lloyd tilts his head to each side, repeatedly cracking his neck joints. The transceiver in his pocket was going off, but he ignored it. “What a bummer, I was having fun with you two. I wish it could last more, but seems you guys ran out of steam already. Well, maybe I can squeeze a little more out of you by force…” Lloyd grins as the space around his hand ripples, the vibrating space taking the shape of a knife.
“Spatial Scalpel!” he shouts and gets ready to cut down on the two, but stops when Royd teleports behind him. “Lloyd, didn’t you hear me?” he asked him with a very stern look. “…” Lloyd slightly moves his head to glance at his father, than brushes him off by moving towards the two on the ground. “Lloyd!! Enough. We’re done here. We’re falling back right now.” Royd told his son in a tone that sounds like he was giving him a warning. “It’ll just take me a second to kill these two. I’ll leave when I’m done” Lloyd told his father, not even looking at him. Before he could take another step, he froze as Royd’s hands were tightly clasped onto his neck from behind. “Son. You listen to me, we’re leaving RIGHT NOW! When I say now, I mean NOW!” Royd said quietly but full of anger. He dug his fingernails into the skin of his son’s neck, drawing a little blood.
“………understood, father…” Lloyd begrudgingly said quietly and the rippling around his hand disappeared. Royd released his grip and said, “That’s better… now go to our meet up point” “…” Lloyd said nothing and teleports away. “……” Royd looks over at Dominic who glares at him. “…don’t misunderstand the situation. I’m not showing mercy to you human lovers and saving your lives; I’m just trying to teach my son obedience and make sure he does what he’s told exactly when I tell him” he told him. “Although… it’s quite impressive you lasted this long fighting my son. What are your names?” he asked them. “……Dominic and Dante Novastar. Remember it well cause the next time we see you and your son… you’re going down!!” Dominic boasted, still motionless on the ground as he stares at Royd with an intimidating glare. “…Dominic and Dante huh… you’re Dominic right? Yes… I heard of your clan… the ones who adopted the rare energy elemental Dante… interesting threat while your face is in the gravel…” Royd smirked. “I’m eager to test your strength myself. We’ll meet again soon…” he added and then teleported away. “……” Dominic closed his eyes and grimaced, pressing his face into the ground.
Grover and the rest of his soldiers were inside the infirmary getting patched up. “That’s right, we found them passed out on the ground. They’re severely wounded but their injuries are not life threatening, however they’ve exhausted a huge amount of their elemental energy to the point where it’s at a critically low amount. If they used up any more of their energy it could have put their lives in danger” a soldier reported. “I see… how are they doing now?” Grover asked as his arm was being wrapped in bandages. He also had bandages around his head and he sat while smoking a cigar. “They’re sleeping in a medical room right now. After a few days they should recover all their energy, but knowing those two they can probably recover sooner than that” the soldier said. “That’s great news. I also heard Dale is making a speedy recovery too.” Grover said and blew out some smoke. “Yes sir, he should be back on his feet very soon” the soldier said.
“…” Grover closed his eyes. “All three factions have lost many of their men… all those lives gone… and the village has been completely destroyed too. People have lost their homes, their lives, their peace… and the battle was a complete stalemate. No one won anything… we lost so much for no reason at all. What an utterly pointless war…” Grover said as he bit into his cigar. “We’re all done with your arm sir” the nurse said. “Thank you” he stood up and moved his arm in a circle. “Sir, where are you going? You need to rest” the nurse said. “I’m fine. There a big weight in my heart right now and I need to get rid of it. Hundreds of humans just lost their homes right now; getting caught up in this senseless battle that led to nothing. I need to find a way to make it up to them… we’ve taken so much away from them, it’s only right to give them something as an apology…” Grover said.
Meanwhile, an airplane descends at an airport in a certain town. “Sir, are you really sure about this? Both the human and elemental extremists have their hideouts not too far from this place, you’re in great danger if you stay here!” a suited official said as he walks with another suited man down to the plane’s doors. “I know very well the danger, but I cannot just stay in the building and wait as our brave soldiers fight to the death to solve this!” The man steps out of the plane and down the airstair as he adjusts his tie. “We’ve been fighting for too long with very little results, it’s time to approach this with a diplomatic touch!” the slim blonde man said {Government Official: Theodore C. McLaren (Future Chairman of the Council)}.
Lloyd got up from the ground after he was punched by Dominic. He wiped the blood that was oozing down from his mouth and smiled. “A fellow space elemental? This should be interesting…” he said {A Colonel in the Elemental Extremist Army: Lloyd Nebulous}. Dominic charges at him, aiming another punch to his face. Lloyd simply smiles and waves his finger across from his body. Suddenly Dominic’s arm swings to the far left, missing Lloyd completely. “Huh!?” Dominic expressed shock. Lloyd quickly kicks Dominic in the face, thrusting the sole of his boot right into his nose. Dominic skids back on his feet a bit and holds his bleeding nose. “The hell was that!?” he shouts and charges at Lloyd again to punch him. Once again Lloyd moves his finger far off to the side and Dominic suddenly moves to that side before he could hit him. “Again!?” he shouted, completely bewildered, before Lloyd swings his foot into his jaw.
Dante watched Dominic fall to the ground and shouts, “What the hell are you screwing around for!?” at him. “Wait… that space elemental… he has a something about him…” Dale said weakly. “What?” Dante asked. As Dominic got back up, he spotted a sword laying on the ground a few yards away. He opened his palm and teleports the sword to his hand. He charges at Lloyd once again and swings the sword at his neck. Lloyd waves his fingers to the side and the sword is suddenly bent towards the side before it touches him. “So that’s it…” Dominic said. “Heh…” Lloyd smiled and swipes his finger across from Dominic’s abdomen, causing him to reel back in pain, clutch his stomach, and cough up blood. “Ugh! It felt like my body was going to be torn in half…” he said. “Watch out Dominic!” Dante shouts and shoots an energy blast at Lloyd. “Oh crap!” Dominic said as he rolls out of the way. “…pure energy?” Lloyd questioned before he swipes his hand up, the energy blast bending upwards and flying towards the sky.
“He’s bending space itself and redirecting our attacks…” Dante said. “Ugh, he can move the space around him?! I never seen such a technique in my life, I didn’t think such a feat is possible!” Dominic said, getting back up. “Never seen an elemental that can shoot pure energy… are you a rare breed?” Lloyd asked Dante. “Hmph… Dominic, let’s punch him at once. He might be able to deflect one of us…” Dante whispered to Dominic. “Gotcha!” Dominic shouts and gives him an “OK” sign. “Keep it down… we’re trying to plan out next attack, don’t let the enemy know we’re up to something…” Dante whispered in a frustrated tone. “…?” Lloyd just watches them, waiting patiently. “Okay…” Dominic whispered and teleports themselves right in front of Lloyd, ready to punch him. “Heh…” Lloyd simply swings both his arms in an X, causing Dante and Dominic to punch each other. “Ow!! Dante what the hell!? You said he couldn’t deflect more than one thing!” Dominic shouts angrily. “I said he MIGHT! He MIGHT!!” Dante shouted back. Meanwhile Dale watches them with a flat face as he recovers on the ground. “Idiots…”
“Hahahahaha! How entertaining! It’s like a comedy routine!” Lloyd laughed and clapped his hands as he mocked them. “Bastard’s making fun of us! Let’s see who’s laughing after I smash your head against the ground!” Dominic shouts in anger. “Calm down Dominic…” Dante said and puts a hand on his shoulder. “I have a new idea…” he told him. “I don’t wanna hear it!” Dominic shouts. A large shadow appeared under them and when they look up to see what’s causing it, they see a large tank falling down on them. “Whoa!” Dominic shouts as he and Dante quickly runs out of the way before the tank lands. “You guys are boring me with your chatter… I hate being bored…” Lloyd said, scowling at them. “Impatient little bastard… aren’t we?” Dominic said, glaring at Lloyd and cracked his knuckles. “Guess we just improvise…” Dante said, gathering energy in his hands.
Not too far from the Novastar’s battle, another battle was taking place. Explosions erupt everywhere as Alexander fired missiles from his Elemental Buster, and while Grover runs away from the explosions at a high speed and dodges the missiles that came towards him, Royd stands still as missiles were closing in on him. Grover glanced over and watched him, curious to know why he doesn’t attempt to dodge. Suddenly, Royd raises both his hands and the space in front of him suddenly ripples like water, pushing the missiles back at Alexander. “What!?” Alexander shouts in disbelief as the missiles strike his Buster, causing a large explosion. “I’ve never seen a space technique like that in my life, what on earth was that?” Grover asked in disbelief. “Wouldn’t you like to know?” Royd said. The smoke clears and Alexander’s buster received a small amount of damage, but still stands. “Damn elemental…” He said and the gems in his buster began to glow. “Try deflecting this!” he turns the buster’s arm into a giant cannon and a large and very wide beam of energy fires from it. Royd simply puts his hands together, and then spreads them apart as if he was pushing a pair of invisible doors open.
The giant beam suddenly splits in half as is gets close to Royd, and then merges back together behind him, creating a space within the beam that he can safely stand in. “He can even create spaces around himself?” Grover asked. “Damn it…” Alexander cursed as the other arm turns into a giant mini-gun and fires at Royd, who once again, stands still as the bullets miss him completely, bending and twisting the space around him to change their trajectory. He then suddenly points to the mini gun and a large hole suddenly appears on the barrels, the surrounding mass pushed outward and bending. “My gun!” Alexander shouts. “He can even create space in objects?” Grover wondered. Royd then suddenly darts towards the buster and swipes his fingers across the air, and the mech suddenly bends and breaks in half. “What!?” Alexander shouts in disbelieve. Grover uses this opportunity to encase Royd in a large green crystal.
“Jade Prison…” Grover said while having his hands together. But Royd suddenly disappears from within the crystal and reappears behind Grover. “Forgot I could teleport?” he asked. A giant jade crystal erupts from the ground underneath Royd, launching him in the air. He then sends a barrage of sharp jade crystals at him while he was still in midair. “So utterly futile…” Royd said and teleports before he was hit by them. “Now where will he…” Grover said as he looked around in all directions. He spots Royd reappearing on the ground a few yards away. “There!” He springs towards Royd and aims a punch to his face. “!!” Royd notices him at the very last second and manages to jump back to dodge it. “Impressive eyesight…” Royd told him. Grover makes a large smirk and swings his hand down, the large jade crystals that were in the air shoot down at Royd, crashing down on him. “…” Grover takes a deep breath, watching the dust settle around the crystals. Suddenly they were all bent in half, breaking apart as Royd stands in the center, injured slightly.
“Are you surprised? My space bending can cause any kind of matter to break apart, even the hardest materials…” Royd told him. “…” Grover said nothing, breathing fast but quietly. “Out of tricks yet?” Royd said as he gets ready to attack him. Suddenly missiles were launched at him from behind. “…” Royd quicky turns around and makes the space around the missiles ripple like water. “Rippling space?” Grover questioned in his mind as he got away from Royd. The missiles slowed down tremendously as they entered the ripple, Royd walking away as he saw Alexander’s mech, the legs were replaced with metal spider legs. “I thought I broke your little toy…” Royd said. “Don’t doubt the human’s incredible engineering prowess!” As the missiles passed through the rippling area, they suddenly sped up even faster and crashed into the ground, exploding. “That ripple caused the missile’s momentum to build up inside such a small space…” Grover observed.
Alexander’s mech walked towards Royd, the arms transforming into a large array of fire arms, “I wonder how much your space bending techniques can help you when you’re being continuously assaulted by gun fire?” Royd just smirks and opens his palms and curls his fingers. “You won’t even get the chance…” he said, small tiny dots of rapidly rippling space appearing in front of Alexander’s buster. “!?” He watched as the buster was ripped apart when different parts of the mech touched the dots, shredding through the metal like it was made of paper. The spider legs and the arms were torn off, leaving the cockpit. “What the hell… was that?” Grover asked. “Rippling space… condensed and concentrated in small points. They pull apart anything that touches them instantly” Royd said. Alexander grins and presses a button, the shell around the cockpit breaks open and the machine inside sprouts smaller arms and legs. A large lance and shield emerges from its back, then reaches back to grab them. “…a buster inside of another buster?” Grover asked. “What you destroyed was simply this knight’s armor…” Alexander said. “Now this is getting interesting…” Royd said, cracking his fingers.
Dominic was slowly moving in the air as the space around him rippled, pulling his face back as he attempted to charge at Lloyd. “Dominic! What the hell are you doing!?” Dante shouted at him. “I… can’t… help… it~!” Dominic said despite his cheeks being pulled back. Lloyd simply walks away as Dominic was getting to the end of the rippling effect. Once he reached the end, he was sent flying towards a building at ridiculous speeds. “Gyah!!” he shouts as he crashes head first into the building walls. “That idiot…” Dante grumbled and shoots a beam of energy at Lloyd. The space elemental simple curls up his fingers can creates small dots of rippling space in front of the beam, causing it to split apart and scatter in different directions. The beams missed Lloyd completely, leaving him unharmed. “What kind of techniques are those?” Dante asked Dominic. Dominic rubbed the giant bump on his head, crying little tears of pain, and said “I have no idea, I never seen such space techniques in my life!”
“You dumbass… what kind of space elemental are you if you can’t even recognize your fellow space elemental’s techniques?” Dante coldly said. “Hey shut up! Space elementals usually use hand to hand combat! We usually only use supporting techniques!” Dominic shouts at him angrily. “Well this one is using offensive techniques too, so maybe you should start copying them so we can defeat this guy already…” Dante said, glaring at his brother. “As if I can just copy him all willy nilly! Give me a break!” Dominic shouts. “Well think of something!” “YOU think of something! Blast him to smithereens already!” “I’ve tried that, it doesn’t work!” “Is shooting beams all you can do!?” Lloyd watches the two argue in front of him, scratching his head with a smile. “At this rate they might as well kill each other before I get the chance…” he thought. “That’s it, I’m getting tired of you!” Dante shouts and gathers energy in his fist. “Oh? You wanna go!?” Dominic shouts, putting his hands up. “Oh? Are they really going to do it?” Lloyd thought, watching on. “RAAAGE…!” Dante shouts as he pulls back his arm and lunges forward.
Dominic smirked and pointed two fingers up. “Space Exchange…” he said as he suddenly teleported away, switching places with Lloyd. “…!?” Lloyd watches as Dante’s fist connects with his face. “FIST!!” Dante shouts, punching Lloyd as energy erupts from his fist and sends him flying. “Yeah! We finally got a hit in!” Dominic cheered. “Too bad that won’t be enough to knock him out…” Dante said, taking a deep breath. Lloyd got back up, grinning as he licked the blood from his mouth. “Now this is getting fun!”
“Three cheers for the Unstoppable Novastars! With them on our side, the war will be over in no time! Hip hip hooray!!” All the soldiers shouted at their base camp as they celebrated their recent victory against the Elemental Buster and raised their mugs full of amber and frothy beer. “Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!” They continued and drank down their beer. “Waha~! Come on guys, you’re making it look like we did all the work! You guys did great out there too!” A young man with a muscular build and spiky black hair said with a big grin on his face, holding a large mug of beer {Dominic Novastar (Age 29)}. “No way! We couldn’t do anything against that thing!” “If it wasn’t for you two, we’d be on the KIA wall!” “Or be their prisoners!” The soldiers said. “Well I dunno about me but Dante’s the man with the powah! He’s the only one who can damage those busters” Dominic said, motioning to Dante. “…it seems their armor isn’t suited to taking pure elemental energy. I’m a very rare case after all…” the young man with shoulder length, slicked, white hair said, having a slimmer build {Dante Novastar (Age 31)}.
“Yeah, even Halberd couldn’t of make so much of a scratch on it” a soldier said as he looked at a teen elemental with very long, slick, black leaning his back against the wall with his arms crossed. He looked away and said nothing in embarrassment {Dale Halberd (Age 16). “Ah lay off the kid, he’s still a youngling after all!” Dominic chuckled. “Tch!” Dale looked away to hide his blush. The other soldiers chuckled light-heartedly. “Shut up, I was about to destroy it with my Thunder Halberd before you two got there so don’t get a fatter head then you already have!” Dale shouted. “Hey easy there Dale, remember you’re not supposed to be here kid” “Yeah, you’re supposed to be eighteen or older to join the army” the other soldiers said. “Now now everyone…” a very large and muscular man with dark maroon, spikey hair that was beginning to turn white due to his old age. He wore a long open military jacket that commanding officers wore. “It doesn’t matter who defeated the enemy, all that matters is that we won this battle” he said {A General in the World Government Military: Grover Ruspoli (Age 59)}.
“General Ruspoli!” the soldiers shout and quickly salutes to him. “At ease everyone, we’re here to relax and rest up for tomorrow. You all did very well, and you fought very hard. But remember until this war ends, we all have to keep fighting and give it our all!” Grover said. He raises his fist and shouts, “To ensure peace to both humans and elementals and stop this pointless war between them!” “Hoo-rah!” the others soldiers shout and raise their fists with him, including Dominic and Dale. Although, Dante kept quiet, simply glancing away from everyone before he walks outside of the base. “…?” Dominic watched him leave. Dante stands outside, looking up at the starry night sky. “Right there! That’s where the little dipper is right?!” Dominic suddenly shouts and points up, startling Dante. “!!! …n-no, that’s not a constellation, that’s just a bunch of stars…” Dante corrected him. “Wait so which one’s the little dipper?” Dominic asked him. “…over there” Dante said and points to the correct constellation. “Really? Just looks like a bunch of stars again to me…” Dominic said as he scratched his head. “Trust me, it’s the little dipper” Dante told him.
“Heh, look at me, a Space Elemental who doesn’t know his stars! Hehehheh!” Dominic chuckled. “Hnn…” Dante looked away with only a faint smile. “Hey what’s wrong buddy? No need to look so glum! …well, ok yeah we’re currently in a huge war where any of us and our friends could die at any time, but this war will end soon and they’ll finally be peace between the two races” Dominic told him with a smile. “…will there?” Dante asked. “Hmm? Why the doubt?” Dominic asked back. “…I don’t know, I just don’t think it could be possible. Humans fear us for our power... they feel threatened… and just like animals, they attack anything they feel threatened by…” Dante said. “Ah come on, we’re better than animals. We’ll just show humans there’s nothing to fear! We’ll also show humans aren’t inferior to us either, we’re all equal. That’s what I believe and that’s why I joined this war, to end fighting so both sides can stop fighting each other” Dominic said. “…aren’t they inferior though?” Dante asked with a whisper, remember back to his orphanage days.
“Waaah! Dante just killed the bear!” a kid shouts in horror as a seven year old Dante stood over the dead body of a large brutish looking grizzly bear, a large smothering hole through its body. Dante stood over it with his hand out, looking down at the bear in shock. “He shot something from his hand and the bear died!” another child said to the woman who ran the orphanage. “My word…” she said, putting her hands to her mouth. “Could it be…? Dante is an elemental?” she said. “An elemental? What’s that?” “I heard they’re monsters!” “Dante is a monster!” the children shouted in fear.
Dante remembered the kids staying far away from him, never playing with him, never interacting with him. The adults of the orphanage feared him as well, too scared to give him the affection and attention the other children got. He got sick of the orphanage and left when he was twelve years old. “What was that?” Dominic asked him. “…nothing” Dante simply said. “Well don’t worry about those doubts, you’ll see… soon we’ll bring peace between humans and elementals everywhere!” Dominic said with a smile. “…if you say so…” Dante said.
Several days later, the troop was once again in the battlefield, fighting off human supremacist, blasting away at their Elemental Buster mech suits. Dominic dodges gun fire from a human soldiers who had a gem powered rifle and kicks him away. The human suddenly got back up. “”Wha-?” Dominic questioned before getting punched in the face, falling to the ground. “Dominic!” “What happened!? How did a human knock you down!?” other soldiers asked. “Heh heh…” the human soldiers grinned, opening his vest a bit to show a gem embedded into his chest. “No… it can’t be…” Dominic said, wiping blood from his nose. “A Meta-Human!?” he shouts. The government soldiers watch as they saw more and more Meta-Humans show up in the battlefield, striking them down. “Meta-Humans… you mean the rumors are true?” Dante asked. “Seems like it…” Dominic said as more Meta-Human soldiers approached the two, backing up their ally.
“Humans who gain the power that elementals have by surgically implanting a gem into their bodies…” Grover said as he watched the battle. “I’ve only heard stories about a brilliant scientist discovering this process and created a squad of powerful humans for the Human Extremists, and here I am witnessing it with my own eyes…” he said. “Aren’t they amazing?” a voice said from behind him. “My father was truly a brilliant scientist as you said, and even though an illness claimed his life, he shared his secret to me to make a squad of powerful supermen!” Grover turned around and said, “Colonel Alexander Lucardo…” he said. Alexander grinned {A Colonel in the Human Extremist Army: Alexander Lucardo (Age 23)}. “We thought we could even the playing field, fight fire with fire after all…” he said.
“Enjoying your handy work? You’re just as psychotic as your father…” Grover said. Alexander presses a button and a giant elemental buster lands behind him. “The government’s army of aligning idiots will come to an end today! Especially after I kill their strongest commander!” he boasted. Hmph…” Grover got reader to fight, but suddenly someone spoke from his walkie talkie. “General sir! We need back up! Please send in some reinforcements!” Grover grabbed and then spoke, “Are the Meta-Humans really that powerful?” he asked. Alexander overheard and made a smug smile. “It’s not the Meta-Humans sir! It’s an elemental! He’s too strong and.... auuugh!!” The soldier shouted. “What?!” Grover asked. Suddenly Alexander’s walkie talkie spoke as well. “Colonel! Please help us! There’s a crazy elemental mowing us down like it’s nothing!” “Seriously? Someone is able to fight off my Meta-Humans!?” Alexander said.
Meanwhile an elemental stood where many bodies of meta-humans and other elementals were scattered all over the ground, covered in blood. “Oh… one left…” the elemental said. He was a muscular man wearing a black tank top and dark green pants. He has dark blue hair that reached down longer on the right side than the left. Dale creates a Thunder Halberd and stares him down. “You’re a Space Elemental like Dominic, if I can defeat you, then I’ll be strong enough to beat Dominic in a sparring match. Thank you for being my next step…” he said and points the halberd at him. “Ke ke keh…” the space elemental glares at him with a murderous smile. Dale charges at the elemental, but he quickly teleports away before he could touch him with his halberd. “I know that trick all too well…” Dale said and waits. The space elemental appears right behind him. “Got you!” Dale swings his Halberd around, but the elemental holds his hand out and the Halberd is suddenly bent away. “My Halberd!” Dale said in shock. The elemental suddenly kicks Dale in the face, sending him rolling across the ground. A soldier on the ground regains his consciousness and watches the battle. He gets out his walkie talkie to report.
“Grover sir…” Grover’s walkie talkie spoke. “What is your position?” Grove asked. “Halberd… he has engaged the enemy elemental… he is… a space elemental… blue hair… looks very young…” the soldier said. “Space elemental with blue hair? That must be…” Alexander started to say. “Yes, my son is having quite a lot of fun out there” a man said as he suddenly appears near Grover and Alexander. “!!” both of them turn to see the man, who also has dark blue hair but it is cut short above the shoulders and neatly smoothed over. He also had a large mustache, but no beard. “You must be General Royd of the Elemental Extremists…” Alexander said. “That’s right, Royd Nebulous is the name…” the man said with a polite smile {A General in the Human Extremist Army: Royd Nebulous (Space Elemental)}. “My son fighting your soldiers is Lloyd Nebulous, he became a Colonel in the army even though he’s only fourteen years old. Quite the talented young man isn’t he?” Royd asked with a sly smirk. “Only fourteen? And he’s a high ranking soldier!?” Grover thought to himself.
“So looks like we have the strongest solider from each faction gathered in one spot, this should be interesting…” Royd said, cracking his knuckles. “…” Grover coats his arm in crystal and Alexander got into his giant elemental buster. “Two elementals with one stone, I couldn’t be any luckier…” he said with a grin as the mech suit closes shut.
Dale was on the ground, heavily injured as he clutched his bleeding arm, his Thunder Halberd on the ground and dissipating. “How boring…” Lloyd said with a frown. “I’d thought you would give me at least SOME challenge…” He walks over to Dale and lifts his foot over his head, getting ready to smash it with his boot. “…” Dale closed his eyes. “Damn it… I never got to tell Veronica… how I…” he thought with regret. Suddenly Lloyd was punched across the face and sent flying to the side as Dominic suddenly teleported to the scene. “D…Dominic…” Dale said weakly. Dante stood next to him and said, “You did well. Leave this to us…” Dominic cracked his knuckles, grinning with anticipation. “Bring it!” he shouts.
About one day has passed after the battle with Dante has finally ended. Damon and the others went back to Maplewood Village to get some rest and have their wounds treated. After a good night’s sleep, everyone has recovered from their battles… except for one. “I don’t believe he’s been sleeping for nearly twenty four hour now…” the village’s doctor said as he watches Damon as he lies in bed, sleeping peacefully. “At first I thought it was just something elementals do; maybe they needed more sleep than humans, but then the rest of you woke up normally” he said to Rebecca. “Don’t worry about it, this happens all the time. Always pushing himself so much that he exhausts a whole lot of energy, even using hidden reserves of it. So it’s no surprise that he needs so much sleep to restore it all” she said to the doctor. “I see… still, this young boy was the one who was able to deliver the final blow to Dante… elementals sure are amazing people…” the doctor said. “Daw shucks~! We’re just doing our best is all!” Rebecca said wish a sheepish smile, blushing and turning her head away as she waved her hand at him. “By the way, how are the others doing?” the doctor asked.
Meanwhile Lilly was planting seeds over a field of soil for a farm in the village. “Ok, it’s all finished” she said. “Thank you so much young lady! It’ll be great to see our farm restored to its former glory once again!” “Crops wouldn’t grow in that void, we had to use up what we had sparingly” the old farmer couple said. “I’d would like to speed up plant growth, but I would have to use elemental energy to do that, and it might not make it safe for humans to eat…” Lilly said sadly. “Awe now don’t worry bout that, we’ll let nature run her course” the old farmer wife said. “We can manage till then, you’ve already done so much for us and our village, you all are true heroes” the old famer husband reassured her with a smile. Lilly blushed and looked down at the ground saying, “Well I… I mean I j-just gave it m-my best is all…” with a nervous smile.
“Hey isn’t this elemental soil? Any crops you’ve eaten that have been grown here will still have some E.E in them right?” Darrel asked. “Ah! That’s right!” Lilly said. “Heh, guess a lil’ bit of element juice won’t hurt us, maybe that’s why we were able to survive in that white void for so long eh?” the husband joked. “Heh… could be” Darrel said. “That big tree’s roots must be real deep in minerals rich of E.E, so the surface must be ok” Lilly said. “By the way, why are you saving the seeds Lilly?” Darrel asked. “Well… since hat tree helped us a lot, I thought it would be wonderful if we could have our own Tree of Vitality” she said. “Are you sure your clan will allow such a huge tree growing in your yard?” Darrel asked. Lilly twiddled her fingers and said “Well I mean… we might have to do some minor mutations on it so it won’t be that big…” “Mutations? Are you some kinda mad scientist?” a confused Darrel asked. Lilly simply made a soft nervous laugh.
Allen stood on top of a tall building, perched on the very edge of the roof to get a big view of the village. He leaned forward a bit as he scanned his eyes across the area, putting his hand above his eyes to shield them from the sunlight so he could see much better. “…” he stood silent as he searched. “Any luck Allen?” David called out to him. “…no, I can’t find him anywhere. He must have left the village…” Allen said. “Damn it! The moment I take my eyes off him he finds a way to break free from those vines and escape…” the chief of the Maplewood Village police said, putting his hand to his forehead, remembering when he saw Arthur run off after they witnessed the large explosion in the sky, breaking free from the vines that had him bind up {Maplewood Village’s Chief of Police: Ron}. “It couldn’t be helped, no one had any E.E Nullifying material to use on him. It was only a matter of time before he could recover his strength and break himself free” David told him.
Just then David’s cell phone rang. He saw the I.D was Kyle’s and answered it. “So, did you find any of them?” he asked. “That’s a neg-o-tory there…” Kyle told him. He stood where he last saw Victor, who was laying on the ground unconscious a day ago, but he was nowhere to be seen. “I checked the other areas that you guys fought the other sins, but they’re all gone” Kyle said. “Hmnn… seems all seven of them were able to recover so quickly” David said. “Should we go look for them? They might attack the village or something…” Kyle said to him. “No, I doubt we would have to worry about them. They were acting upon Dante’s orders, and now that he’s gone… they really have no reason to continue his plans” David said. “What if they’re looking for revenge?” Ron asked him. “They may have recovered but they’re still injured, they won’t be in fighting condition. And even if they tried… we’ll just beat them again” David said sternly.
“But neither would you guys, you’re all still injured” Ron said. “Don’t worry, injured or not we’ll still protect this village” David reassured him with a smile. “…you guys… you must be saints to go all this way for a small village like ours…” Ron said, touched. “This is what elementals are supposed to do, protect the world and everyone on it” he told him. “Heh, you really get passionate about protecting people huh Dave? That’s adorable!” Kyle said on his cell phone, chuckling. “…………I forgot… to hang up…” David said, his eyes shadowed out in embarrassment and he quickly hangs up the phone. Ron just chuckles. “What’s so funny?” David asked, his head sinking into his shoulders. “I’m sorry… it’s just that… a lot of people see elementals as these god like beings, but in reality, they’re just regular people like humans” he said. “…hnn” David made a small smile. “Sorry, hope that didn’t offend you or anything” Ron said. ‘No, it’s fine. In fact I wish all humans could see it like that” he said.
An hour later, Kyle returned carrying a giant bull over his shoulders, dead and burnt. “Hey everyone, I caught some dinner for everyone!” he said with a big smile. “Where in the hell did you find that big ass thing…?” a dumbfounded Rebecca asked. “Well he found me actually. I was just passing by and he tried to get the jump on me, but I gave him quite the burn! Since I already cooked him we might as well eat him!” Kyle said with a proud smile. “How thoughtful…” Rebecca said with a nervous smile. “Wow! You took care of that giant bull all by yourself?” Mathilda said, amazed. Kyle immediately dropped the large bull and zipped over to Mathilda, causing her to gasp and blush. “That’s right, all thanks to my powerful flames! Pretty cool huh?” he smiled and flexed his arm, a twinkle appearing on his teeth. “That’s enough outta you sonny!” Josaphat said and smacks him in the back of the head.
“Ah, I meant no harm sir” Kyle nervously said, rubbing the back of his head. “Thank you for catching some food for us, but that’s no excuse to flirt with my granddaughter…” he told Kyle. Mathilda blushed even more and looked down, twiddling her fingers. “You don’t care she’s human?” Darrel asked. “Nope! I have love for both elementals and humans! Love makes the world go round~!” Kyle happily said, making a heart with his hands as he spins around. “Easy there Mr. Love Guru…” an annoyed Rebecca said. “Ah, you’re a true inspiration! Love does not discriminate!” Darrel said as he cried happily and comically, giving two thumbs up. “Not you too Darrel!” Rebecca said in shock. “Well let’s gather up some vegetables and other ingredients so we can get this banquet underway” Josaphat said. “Yeah let’s eat!” Kyle cheered. “What about Damon?” Lilly asked. “He’s still sleeping, ya snooze ya loose right?” Kyle said with a grin.
“Wait… has Grand Master Dominic not yet returned?” Rebecca asked. “I’m afraid not… he said he’d be busy for most of the day…” Allen told her. “I see…” Rebecca said with a sad and somber look. “Best we leave him be for the time being” Allen said. “Yeah, I suppose you’re right…” Rebecca said.
Dominic was far out of the village, at the ruins where they fought Dante. He made a small grave for Dante, using a makeshift cross made out of wood with his name carved into it. Dominic sat in front of the grave, chugging down a bottle of whiskey. “It seems fate has a cruel sense of humor who likes to play people like chumps, as if we’re just marionettes she can make us dance to her leisure…” Dominic spoke to the grave. “Who’d knew that the boy I’d take in as my brother, and a fellow soldier who I fought alongside with… would end up being an enemy I’d have to take down… and be a casualty of battle…” he said and guzzles down some more whiskey. “Dante… why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t you tell me… you were suffering for so long?” he said, leaning his head on his hand, tears running down from his eyes as he cried.
“Back then… you experienced that horror during the war right? Why couldn’t you just open up and tell me what happened? I’m your friend, your brother… we fought in the war together for all those many months…” he said and looked up at the sky. “…in a twisted and bizarre way… I kinda miss those days… not because of the war, that I could do without… but because we were together… we were famous within our platoon weren’t me? They even gave us a nickname…” he said, remembering his days in the Great War thirty years ago.
“Get back everyone! That thing’s firepower is unbelievable!” a human government soldier shouts as he runs away, suddenly sent flying from an explosion that went off nearby. Several soldiers, both human and elemental, were fighting off a large machine within a destroyed city with many buildings demolished; the ones still standing had several holes and chunks blown off. There were also many fires scattered throughout the city, all of the citizens had evacuated. The machine was a large mech with arms and legs, its body oval shaped with a glass window and many gems built into it. A human extremist solider was piloting it, jovially launching several missiles from the mech’s back to blow up the soldiers around him. A human soldier tries to shoot at the mech with his gem powered machine gun, but the bullets just bounce right off the metal machine. “It’s no good, even our empowered weapons are ineffective…” he said. “The human supremacist got their hands on some highly advanced Elemental Busters…” another soldier said. Suddenly lighting struck the mech, an elemental with long black hair standing on top of a rooftop having summoned the lightning. Smoke emits from the mech, but it had no visible damage.
“Damn it… not even lightning can make so much of a dent…” the elemental said. “Heh heh… you government dogs might as well surrender, this newest model is unbeatable! You’re all finished!” the human inside the Elemental Buster said. Before he could fire more missiles at them, the mech suddenly stops. “…w-what?” the human questioned, seeing the control panel was missing. “Looking for this?” a very young Dominic said with a grin, holding the panel with wires sticking out in his hand before he crushed it. “How did you…” the human said, but saw a young Dante standing in front of him, gathering energy in his hand. “Vanish…” Dante said and blows up the mech with a blast of energy. “Waaah~!” the pilot shouts as he’s sent flying. “Thanks for distracting him for us fellas! I was able to warp that control panel out” Dominic smiled, giving a thumbs up. “Hmph…” Dante stood next to him, crossing his arms. “They did it! The Unstoppable Novastars won again!” The government soldiers shouted and cheered.
Dante starts to fall from the air, blood seeping out of the many cuts all over his body, and the large one across his torso. Damon too began to plummet to the ground after his thunder halberd had disbursed into the air. Dominic watched the two fall and he quickly ran towards the spot where Damon was falling, catching him before he hit the ground. “Phew…” Dominic sighed in relief, seeing him safe. “You really know how to give this old man a heart attack kid…” he said with a grin. Dante however, lands on the ground with a loud thud. He lays there with his arms and legs sprawled out, completely motionless as his body smoked from being electrocuted by the halberd. Dante has finally been beaten. “We did it!” “We finally defeated Dante!” Rebecca, Kyle, Lilly, and Darrel shout with glee, jumping in the air and cheered for their victory. They immediately groan in pain and hold their arms, or rub their shoulders, or clench their ribs. “What did you think would happen? You’re all seriously injured!” Dominic scolds, dumbfounded by their actions.
“Anyways, how’s our crazy little airhead?” Rebecca asked. “He really pushed himself and squeezed out every ounce of energy his body could muster up, so I think he’ll be out like a light for a day or two. Besides that, I’m sure he’ll be just fine” Dominic told her and lays Damon on the ground softly. “Rest well my fellow soldiers, you fought the good fight and won” he told everyone with a reassuring smile. “Before we go, I want to see how those villagers are doing. That armored jerk is still in their custody” Rebecca said. “Yeah and we gotta round up the other sins while they’re still incapacitated” Darrel mentioned. “Good idea, but we gotta make sure the mastermind here won’t get away…” Dominic said as he walk towards Dante’s body. During which, David walks up to the unconscious Damon and sits down next to him, closing his eyes as he remembered something his father told him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“It seems Damon has decided to enter the Gem Hunt…” Dale Halberd said, sitting in his chair with his eyes closed. “Yes father, he just registered today” David told him. Dale made a noise of satisfaction, and then sighed softly, opening his eyes. “I was afraid of this… this is completely unacceptable” he said and looks at David. “I know this may be hard to do, but I want you to do whatever you can to stop your brother and have him quit the competition. Even if it means seriously injuring him or completely diminishing his spirt! The next World Guardian will be a Halberd!” he told him with a stern look. “…” David looks down. “I know it sounds cruel, but even though he has been accepted into the family, he still doesn’t have Halberd blood. I want the next guardian to be you, that’s what all this training has been for. Think of this as another training session, to do what it takes to win, even if it means fighting and hurting your own brother” he added. “…yes father” David said with a nod.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“…” David opened his eyes and then remembered what he told Damon at the start of the Gem Hunt, before and after beating him in battle. "Foolish little brother, this for teaching you a lesson for ignoring my warning. I will defeat you and you will quit this competition…" "Hopefully you understand now, so quit now before you die!" David lets out a sigh and says, “How wrong I have been… how wrong our father was…” he said and looks at the sleeping Damon as the wind elemental’s boastful shout echoed in his head: “I’M A HALBERD TOO!!” “Forgive me for what I said...” he said and remembered something Rebecca told him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Damon really did all that?” David asked. “Yep! He fought with all his strength to save that girl! She said he saved her life from that criminal metal elemental” Rebecca told him. “He saved a life…” David said, a little shocked. “Well, he did exhaust himself… and Lilly had to give the finishing blow after Steven got back up…” Rebecca admitted. “Still… to be able to bring an infamously powerful elemental like Steven down to the ground… he has potential…” David pondered. “Yeah… so, are you really gonna continue to do what your dad said to do?” Rebecca asked him. “…if only he had a little more control of his energy output… then maybe…” David began to say.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Because of you, I had to disobey our father for the very first time. But even if I did, I would be no use. Your spirit can’t be broken. You defiantly are a Halberd…” David whispered. Rebecca watched David, hearing him, and smiled to herself with a soft giggle. Meanwhile, Dominic looked down at Dante’s bruised and blooded body. “Well you stubborn old fool, you’re really lying in that bed you made for yourself huh? Even after I told you to stop your nonsense, you didn’t listen…” he said. “…” Dante was silent. He had regained consciousness but didn’t say anything. “Well you ol’ mule, I think the lesson has been hammered into your thick skull enough times, so it’s time to face judgement from the government” Dominic said.
“…Dominic… you know that won’t solve anything…” Dante weakly told him. “If you have me imprisoned… I’ll just find a way to escape… and I’ll start this all over again…” he stated. “…even after what just happened?” Dominic asked. “You weren’t there… you didn’t witness what I saw… both those times… you really don’t understand just how badly it messed me up Dominic…” Dante said, gritting his teeth as he held back tears. “……” Dominic gave him a sorrow-filled look. “Dante…” “No matter what I do, I can never get those images out of my head… it’s driving me crazy Dominic! It fills me with rage! So much rage that it makes me want to punish the humans! Even if I meet the most kind-hearted, most benevolent humans on the planet, it will never convince me to stop my hatred! That’s how messed up I have become!” Dante shouted.
“Dante… we can help you…” Dominic said as he tried to console his friend. “No… there is no help for me… the damage has been done… and the scars are too deep…” Dante told him, grasping soil tightly in his shaking hands. “No matter how much you try, I will never change. I will keep hating humans… and I will keep trying to usher in a new order where humans are separated from elementals… and even if you do stop me again... as long as I am alive… I will keep trying again and again… we will be fighting a useless war with each other… we’ll keep fighting… again… and again… and again... that is why… you have to kill me here and now…” Dante told Dominic. “…what?” Dominic asked, taken back. “Please Dominic… I’m asking you as a friend… end my suffering and kill me now… or else we’ll just keep fighting each other… and because you’re so soft you’ll just keep letting me go… it’ll be a never ending cycle. So just end it while you have the chance…” Dante told him.
“…Dante, what is this nonsense you’re spouting?” Dominic asked and crosses his arms. “What’s with this grim talk? You want me to kill you?! Like hell I will! What kind of friend kills his friend!? No, not even that, you’re my brother! Just because you have a problem!? You’re not some rabid dog that needs to be put down! You need help, and there’s no shame in that! We have people that can get you that help, so enough of this dreadful crap and come with us already!” he reached his hand out towards Dante. “……I’d knew you would say something like that… like always, you’re too kind for something like that. I wanted to be killed by you, someone who I deeply respect, but… then again… I don’t want you to carry that burden…” Dante said with a soft smile. Then his body starts to glow as shining particles in the air began to gather inside of him.
“Oi oi! What the hell are you trying to pull Dante!?” Dominic shouts in surprise as he sees Dante’s shining body. “?” The others watch in confusion. “He still can fight!?” Kyle asked. “I thought he used up all of his energy with that Blitz Bomb earlier…” Darrel said. “My energy is still scattered into the air, so I’m directing it into my body…” Dante explained. “You’re in no condition to keep fighting Dante, just stay down already!” Dominic told him. “You misunderstand… I’m not trying to regain my energy… I’m overloading my body…” Dante said. “…what are you talking about?” Dominic asked. “…I’m turning my body into a bomb…” Dante said. “What!?” Dominic and the others shouted. “What do you mean you’re turning yourself into a bomb!? Why the hell would you do that!?” Dominic shouts at him. “I already told… as long as I’m alive… I’ll keep fighting against humanity. We’ll be at each other throats until we kill one another… so I’ll end it here…” Dante said as his body shines brighter by the minute.
“Stop it Dante!” Dominic shouts and reaches out for him, but a field of energy wraps around his body, scorching Dominic’s hand. “!!” Dominic pulls his hand back. “I’m sorry… but I can’t simply kill myself; that would be a coward’s way out… so I’m going to die doing what I stand for and take my enemies with me…” Dante said. “Is he crazy!?” Kyle shouts. “What will happen to Maplewood Village!?” Rebecca asked. “All the more reason to send me away before I detonate… right Dominic?” Dante asked. “…what?” Dominic asked. “You have enough energy left to warp me away before I explode don’t you? If you wish to save yourself, your students, and the humans from the village, then you’ll have to send me away. The radius of my explosion will cover the entire ruins. Anything caught up in it will not survive” Dante said, emotionlessly. “…Dante, damn you…” Dominic tightened his burned hand into a fist in anger. “Are you seriously going to make me do this!?” Dominic shouts.
“This is a war… and this one won’t end with a peace treaty…” Dante told him. “…nghhh…” Dominic groaned in frustration, anger, and despair, tears building up in his eyes. “You always do the right thing Dominic… and this is no different. I know you won’t let your students die, or any innocent humans… time is running out…” Dante said, his body shining very brightly, making it hard to see him. “Grand Master…” Rebecca said sadly, seeing her teacher in turmoil. “……” Dominic puts his hand to his head, grasping it as he struggles to decide what he should do. “…damn it…” he shook. The energy field around Dante starts to pulsate. “Oh no… he’s ready to blow at any minute!” Darrel said nervously. “Is he really gonna…” Kyle asked. “….damn it…!” Dominic grits his teeth. “…” Dante closes his eyes. “…DAMN IT ALL!!” Dominic shouts and raises his forearm, a transparent bubble appearing around Dante. “…” Dante smiles softly and says, “Dominic…”
Suddenly Dante looks at him, tears running down his eyes, and smiles very happily. “Goodbye old friend, thank you… for everything…” he said. “!!” Tears run down Dominic’s eyes, and then he quickly shuts them and shouts, “Warp Gate!” Dante suddenly vanishes, and a bright explosion of energy appears up high in the sky. “!!” everyone looks up. “He warped him… into the stratosphere…” Darrel said. The people of Maplewood village watched the explosion in the sky as well, shocked and confused. Arthur, still tied up, watches the explosion, then closes his eyes and tilts his head down, tears running down his eyes. “Master…” he sobbed. The other Seven Sins, who regained consciousness, watch the explosion as well, saddened as they know what happened. “…” Dominic still had his arm up until the explosion clears up. “…G-Grand Master?” Rebecca asked, concerned. “…” Dominic fell onto his knees, and then, lets out a scream of anguish and pain that echoed throughout the entire ruins, tears spilling out from his eyes…
=============================================================
“What is this…? How can all of you stand after all of that, let alone still be alive!?” Dante shouted in shock as he watched everyone stand up, despite their serious injuries. “This is absurd! The Albatross child I might understand if he really is that man’s son… but that doesn’t explain the others! Even if a few of them are from the Top Ten Clans, they shouldn’t be moving after that, even if they are alive!” Dante thought as he tried to make sense of it all. “Dante, just give up…” Dominic started to tell him. “Just admit your defeat and save yourself from more pain…” he said with a stern look. “!!” Dante’s eye widen, realizing the ironic echo of what he told Damon moments ago. “Damn you all…” Dante growls as energy surrounds him. “I will never give up, even if I die!” he declares and his energy aura flares up around him once again. “Is that so? Well neither will we! F3!!” Damon shouts, wind spiraling around him.
“I won’t lose to you lot!” Dante shouts, opening his hand and shooting a beam of energy. “And we won’t lose to you!” Damon shouts and shoots a large concentrated blast of spiraling wind to push it back. “We all refuse to back down, so I guess we’ll keep fighting till one of us still stands, but it’s eight against one… the odds aren’t in your favor is it?” Damon told him with a very sure grin. “You really think so? With my power, it’s more like one hundred to eight!” Dante shouts and gives the beam more power, pushing back Damon’s wind. “…” Damon tries to push it back again, but it wasn’t enough. Before the beam could reach him, he redirected his wind upwards, pushing Dante’s energy beam up into the sky. The push causes Damon to fall on his back. “Hmph, clever runt…” Dante said and reaches out his other hand to blast Damon before he could recover. Before he could, Dominic appeared next to him, arm already raised, and slams his fist into Dante’s head.
“Nghh!” the energy elemental grunts in pain, blood tricking down this face. “Dominic!” he shouts in anger. “Didja forget about us?” Dominic said with a grin. Before Dante could react, David and Kyle charged towards Dante and both delivered a punch surrounded by their element to Dante’s face, burning him with both fire and electricity. “!!” Dante staggers back, smoke emitting from his charred face. Rebecca then ran behind him and kicks him in the back with a strong thrust from her foot. Dante grunts in pain as he stumbles forward, not noticing Allen had sneaked next to him before it was too late. Allen delivers a swift chop to his ribs, making him hunch over as his eyes widen and jaw opens from the sheer pain. Lilly slides in towards him and gives him a sweeping kick to his shins. “Uhn!” Dante shouts and falls to his knees. Then Darrel quickly charged in and delivers a powerful uppercut to his jaw, causing him to fall on his back as he spits out blood. As he laid there he watched as Damon jump into the air and fall towards him. “Jet Tempest Strike!!” Damon shouts and uses a burst of wind to shoot towards Dante at a faster rate, striking him in the stomach with his fist as he landed. “Guuaah!!” Dante shouts as he coughs up more blood.
Damon quickly jumps back to where everyone was. “Now!” Dominic shouts. Damon, David, Rebecca, and Kyle charge up their element into their hands, while Allen and Darrel gather theirs around them and Lilly grows large flowers. Then all at once, they shoot their element at Dante who remains on the ground, Lilly’s flowers shooting seeds like bullets. As the elements make contact, it causes a large explosion. The others watch the cloud of smoke rise from the hole created from the explosion, awaiting the next move. Dante suddenly emerges from the hole and shouts, “YOU ISOLENT FOOLS!” and the smoke is blown away as the energy aura around him flares higher and wider. He breathes hoarsely as he stands, covered in blood, wounds, and burns. “No matter what you do, you will never defeat me! I am an Energy Elemental! I control elemental energy in its purest rawest form! Your energy is all diluted! Weakened! Your bodies cannot handle emitting so much energy so it changes it into a weaker state, but I’M STRONG ENOUGH TO CONTROL PURE, UNADULTREATED, CONCENTRATED, ENERGY!!” Dante shouts, the pupils in his eyes completely gone.
“Hit him again!” Damon shouts and they all got ready to shoot elemental blasts at him again. “I don’t think so! DIE, ALL OF YOU! EXTINCTION BOMBER!!” Dante shouts as his aura contracts around him and suddenly bursts into a large sphere of energy that expands out from his body. The others weren’t expecting such a large attack, and thus couldn’t react in time; they were engulfed in the dome of energy that spread further and further away, pass where the previous crater ended as the explosion and creating a deeper one over it. Soon enough the energy wave fades away into the aether, and Dante stands in the center off the newly created crater, panting heavily. “There… now you all will stay down on the ground where you belon… huh!?” before Dante could finish, he saw Damon slowly get up off the ground much to Dante’s shock and dismay. “No… NO!! You can’t be serious!” he shouts as he saw the others get up after him, this time they didn’t struggle and were able to stand without any trouble.
“Huh… that one barely hurt…” Damon said and brushed himself off. “You… how!? HOW!?” Dante shouts as he was ready to snap at any moment. “You really don’t see what’s going on huh?” Damon asked him. “What are you talking about?!” Dante asked angrily. “Just think about it you old bat… when you release your true power, or take off your ‘limiter’ or whatever, you gain a huge boost in strength and destructive power. That’s true and all, but you don’t realize the cost of that” Damon told him. “Cost? What cost!?” Dante asked him. “Yeesh do I really have to spell it out for ya?” Damon sighed and scratched the side of his neck. “When you release your full power, you exhaust your energy and your stamina at a faster rate” he told Dante. “…” Dante’s eyes widen as he looked down at his hands. “My stamina… and energy… exhausted?” he asked. “Think about it Dante, you’ve been fighting all day. You’ve been fighting me while the others were fighting your sin-lackeys, then my students entered the fray, and then you had to break your limiter and unleash all your power… all of that fighting and breaking that limiter was really taxing on your strength” Dominic informed.
“No… I refuse!! I refuse to accept this!!” Dante shouts, veins popping on his forehead. “Just give up now Dante; you’ve already lost…” Dominic told him. “SILENCE!” Dante shouts, his anger finally driving him over the edge. “I told you that I won’t give up! Even if it kills me!” the energy aura flares up once again and he floats up into the air. “I’ll use every last ounce of energy I have left in my body to finish you all in one last attack!” he shouts as he raises his arms above his head, gathering energy into them. “You tried to defeat me with an Energy Blitz Bomb, but it proved futile! So I’ll show you how you properly make one!” the energy shapes into a giant ball, bigger than the energy bomb that Damon and the others made. “He can make a Blitz Bomb!?” Kyle said in shock, watching him as the energy reflects from his sunglasses. “Guess it’s just another simple technique for an energy elemental…” Rebecca said. “It’s a lot bigger than ours was!” Darrel said. “We didn’t have experience, Dante has better control since he doesn’t have to carefully mix energy” David said. “Grandmaster, can you teleport it away?” Allen asked. “No… I don’t have enough energy to warp something that big…” Dominic said, sweating nervously.
As Lilly watched Dante create the energy bomb, she noticed Damon stepping forward. “Damon?” she asked. “I have something that may work, but I’ve never used it before… and I need you guys to help me” Damon told them. “Huh? Something that may work?” Rebecca asked. “I don’t think even you have enough energy to generate a strong enough blast of wind to push that back!” Dominic told him. “No… I had something else in mind” Damon said. “…” Dante looks down at Damon and says, “It saddens me that I’ll have to kill the last remaining member of the Albatross Clan with my own two hands… you’ve should have sided with me when you had the chance boy!” “…I don’t care about that right now… because at this very moment, YOU’RE the enemy right now! And you forget Dante…” Damon said and gathers wind between his hands, sparks of electricity appearing inside it. “What is he…?” Dominic asked in confusion. “…could it be?” David asked in his head.
“And you forgot one important thing!” Damon shouts, slowly compacting the electricity gathered by the wind. “I’M A HALBERD TOO!!” he loudly and boldly exclaims, the electricity shaping into a halberd, the wind around it tightening and coating it. “!?” Dante raised a white brow, surprised and puzzled. “!!” David’s eyes widen as he saw Damon create the halberd. “Un…believable…” Dominic said, shocked. “He created… a Thunder Halberd?” Darrel asked. “But I thought that technique was limited to Thunder Elementals…” Rebecca said in confusion. “He found a work-around…” David started to explain. “He gathered the electricity in the air with his wind and then compressed it into a halberd. He then used the wind to form a tight seal around it to hold the shape in place” He watched as Damon held his Thunder Halberd, glaring up at Dante. “He must have been watching me when I was training with father…” David thought. “He wanted to prove that he’s worthy of the Halberd name… so he made his own version…”
“Hmph… a wind elemental using a thunder elemental’s technique… I never thought I’d see the day where a certain kind of elemental attempts to use the technique of a different type! But I can already tell its imperfect! Do you really think you can use that to cut through my Energy Blitz Bomb!?” Dante shouts and sends the massive ball of energy down at Damon and his team. “Here it comes…” Allen said. “Alright everyone, give me a boost! All at once!” Damon shouts. “Huh? A boost?” Lilly asked. “I can’t fly while using the Thunder Halberd, I have to use all my concentration holding it together” Damon told them. “Are you seriously gonna fly head on towards that thing!?” Dominic shouted. “What choice do we have!? Trust me!” Damon told them. “…alright. We’ll do it everyone” David said with a nod. “…” “…” Everyone except for Dominic reached their hand towards Damon, gathering their element around his feet.
“Now!” Damon shouts and was launched into the air with a pillar of fire, water, electricity, earth, and sand, along with a large stalk emerging from the ground. As Damon flew closer to the blitz bomb, he readied his halberd and reared it back as far as he could. “You really think you can cut it!? With your off-brand halberd!? This is your first time making one! You’re a fool to think it’s good enough to slice through my blitz bomb!” Dante shouts at him. “Hroooaaahh!!” Damon shouts with all his might and swings his halberd into the energy bomb, the blade pressing into it. “You see!? It can’t cut through it! Your feeble attempt at a thunder halberd has failed!” Dante exclaims. Then he watched as the halberd began to push back the bomb. “…what!?” he shouts in shock. “Hrraaah!” Damon uses his strength to push against the energy bomb, and the massive ball was sent flying backwards. “He… deflected it!?” Dante shouts in disbelief.
“It didn’t cut through it!?” Darrel asked in confusion. “It bounced it back instead!” Rebecca said, watching the energy bomb fly back towards Dante. “The wind around the halberd prevents the blade from cutting it, so instead he uses the wind coating to deflect elemental attacks away from it. He created his own unique version of the Thunder Halberd to call his very own… such an amazing brother…” David said with a small smile. Dante watched as the energy blitz bomb flew past him and high into the air, exploding in a bright flash of light. “Thunder…!!” Damon shouts as the pillar of elemental blasts sent him towards the old elemental before dissipating. “I have to dodge it!” Dante thought as he got ready to fly out of the way. Suddenly Damon teleported right in front of Dante in the blink of an eye. “!!” “Dominic!” he thought, seeing Dominic had his arm reached out with a small grin. “HALBERD!” Damon slashes Dante across the chest with the Halberd, the wind bursting and cutting him all over his body.

Alright, time for the last segment for the time being. It’s time to go into detail about the World Government!
Elemental Encyclopedia
Volume 10: The World Government
Thirty years ago the World Government was originally for humans as they let elementals be independent. But as hate crimes and terrorist attacks were inflicted on both races, the government and the world guardian worked together to stop both extremist groups and to show good publicity for humans and elementals getting along, the government made a peace treaty for both supremacist groups to sign and end the conflict. Thus, the government and elementals would continue to work together. Because of this, elementals would say that the government was established thirty years ago, but they mean the new government that included elementals in their ranks. As for the government as a whole, it was created around one thousand years ago.
According to the history books, the government was formed when leaders of various countries all over the world gathered to try and maintain peace throughout the world, as there were wars going on from countries and kingdoms attacking other counties to expand their land. Eventually leaders from other countries were able to work together to stop these wars, and once peace has finally been declared, the leaders formed the government that would watch over and do their best to protect the world and maintain its peace. So in a way, it’s just like how the government helped maintain peace between elementals and humans. It’s as if history repeated itself.
The government holds just about the upmost control over the world, except for some countries who have closed-door policies and prefer running their land their own way. The heads of the government are the Council of the Law, the top eight law officials who are essentially the rulers of the world and hold the highest authority and thus have the final word on decisions, such as new laws and demands from the world. They command over the various organizations that are affiliated with the government, such as the Element Enforcer Squad (that was formed when the peace treaty was made), the Government Military (which I was a part of), the Police Force, and various government agent organizations. They also assist different kingdoms that have open-door policies, helping them resolve wars and terrorist attacks if needed.
The members of the Council of Law are given designated seats. In order, they are:
First Seat: Theodore C. McLaren (Chairman of the Council, a.k.a President of the World)
Second Seat: Hillary Brooks (Government Chief of Staff)
Third Seat: Grover Ruspoli (Crystal Elemental)
Fourth Seat: Abraham T. Kington
Fifth Seat: Jackson Haywood
Six Seat: Wilson Gray
Seventh Seat: Dwight Sinclair
Eight Seat: Clinton Wilford
The Government has three organizations under them that maintain the peace of the world and help protect different nations from any threats or enemy attacks. These three forces are:
The Government Military: The government’s own personal army, consisting of both humans and elementals. They possess gem powered weaponry and vehicles to battle enemy elementals. They have many divisions for different operations, such as a marine division for the sea, an air force for the sky, and various others. Third Seat Grover Ruspoli is the Commander-in-Chief of the entire military and each division has their own ranking system for commanding officers. The army uses the government’s insignia, a cross inside a triangle.
The Elemental Enforcer Squad: Usually shortened to E.E.S, a large force made up of elementals who specialize in apprehending other elementals who break the law. All members wear grey uniforms with the organization’s crest, a six pointed star in a square. The squad is split into many units for each city, such as the Sacar City division, and each unit is led by a division captain. The head captain of the entire Enforcer Squad is Clyde Vulcan, Christopher Vulcan’s father, who is also the captain of the Alcardo Unit (where the Government’s HQ is located).
Police Force: Similar to the E.E.S, this force is split into different units for each city. Though the difference is this organization is made up of humans who specialize in apprehending human criminals. They wield weapons that are not gem powered, and leave elemental criminals for the E.E.S. They wear navy blue uniforms and have their own insignia too, a shield with a falcon inside.
Well I think I’ll end it here, this is all you need to know about the government. I could get into more detail like the different kingdoms affiliated with the government but… that’d be too boring. It’s a short entry, especially for the final one for a while, but we’d be here all day if I kept going. The info stated here is important enough to know… not to say the World Government isn’t important enough! Heh heh… well this is the end to the Elemental Encyclopedia, at least for now. (A/N: Yes! Finally!) …I guess these are tough to write, someone just wants to get on with the story. Oh well, thanks for reading these entries! Sorry if they’re too boring but knowing important info can be helpful! Until next time everyone!
=============================================================
Dante stood as a towering and brightly flaring aura enveloped around his being, his long silver hair and his beard flowing from the energy output from his body. The others can do nothing but marvel at his aura in both shock and fear. “What… Dante?” Dominic questioned, in disbelief that this is the same Dante he knows. “You have no idea, Dominic…” Dante began to say. “My element is energy. Pure, raw, undiluted elemental energy that other elementals convert into different forms to handle the output. But for me… I can control its destructive power… to a point that is. If I’m not careful, I can cause wide spread destruction wherever I go… so for that, I put a limiter on my body, keeping me from releasing too much power at once. But now… that limiter is off…” Dante glares at them. “If this is what it takes to destroy you, then so be it! My Seven Sins swore an oath that they would die for me if needed, so I don’t have to worry about their lives when I release my true power! They knew the risks and accepted that they could be sacrificed for the greater good!” Dante shouts, the aura flaring even higher.
“This is unbelievable… I thought the Elemental Blitz Bomb would defeat him for sure… but he had all this hidden power tucked away?” Dominic thought to himself, stepping back from the energy flaring Dante. Suddenly a large gust of wind pushes by him. Dominic looked over his shoulder and saw Damon had large amounts of wind surrounding him. “Looks like you won’t stay down even after all that, but I’ll make sure of it this time!” Damon shouts and charges at Dante. “Damon, don’t!” Dominic shouts. Dante simply stands still as Damon blasts himself towards the old elemental through the air. Damon rears his arm back to punch Dante in the face, but Dante quickly swings his arm and bashes Damon in the side of his face with the back of his hand, causing the wind elemental to spit out blood. “…!?” Damon is send flying behind Dante and crashes to the ground.
“Damon!” “No way, in one strike!?” Lilly and Darrel said in shock and disbelief. “…” Damon slowly gets up, coughing up some blood. “Take this!” he shouts and shoots out a large gust of wind. Dante stops it with his hand without flinching, the wind dispersing. “Impressive, now here’s mine…” Dante said and unleashes a giant energy blast from his hand, enveloping Damon with in and sending him soaring backwards. “!!” everyone witnessed in horror as they saw the giant energy wave engulfing the wind elemental. When the energy faded the ground underneath it had been vaporized, leaving a large engraving deep in the soil that widens the further it went. Damon laid in the deep engraving, his motionless body smothering. “…no, this… can’t be…” Dominic whispered in devastation. “He’s really capable of… this power?” His body was in a cold sweat.
Suddenly David steps forward, his body coursing with electricity as he move towards Dante. “Big mistake…” he growled in anger. “David, stop it!” Dominic said. Then Kyle and Rebecca followed, the former surrounding his fists with fire and the latter creating whips of water. “Hey! What are you guys doing!? Don’t fight him!” Dominic shouts, tried to stop them. Allen, Lilly, and Darrel then approached Dante as well, getting ready to fight him. “Enough all of you! Didn’t you see what happened to Damon!? You’ll just be walking to your deaths!” he told them. “What choice do we have?” Allen said. “…what?” Dominic asked. “What do you mean…?” “You rather run away and let him do as he pleases?” Darrel asked. “…” Dominic froze, noticing his own cowardice. “He hurt our friend…” Lilly said. “We’re not letting him get away with that” Kyle said. “We’re going to stop him or die trying” Rebecca said. “And I rather die than run away like a coward!” David exclaimed. “…you guys…” Dominic said, surprised by their resolve.
“…” Dante just stands there, awaiting their move. “Attack!!” David shouts and all six of them charge at Dante, each one charging up their element for an attack. “Be gone…” Dante said and reaches his hands out, shooting a giant ball of energy from each of them that slams into the six elementals. Dante then clutches his hands and the balls of energy explodes. The six are sent flying back from the explosions, tumbling across the ground. Dominic watches the horror of seeing his students getting beaten severely by Dante’s power. He clutches his fist and charges at the energy elemental. Dante aims his palm at him, charging up energy. Dominic quickly teleports behind him and aims a punch to the back of his head. Dante swiftly turns his body and blasts his energy point-blank range. “Guaaaah!!” Dominic shouts as he was sent hurling away from the intense, burning energy. “Fuujin’s…!!” Dante hears a voice and looks up, seeing Damon charging up his Fuujin’s Fist attack. “FIST!!” he shouts and sends the giant wind fist down at him.
Dante stops it with just one hand. “!!” Damon tenses up in utter shock, seeing one of his strongest attacks was stopped with no effort. Dante puts his hand to the giant fist and shoots a large bullet of energy that tears through it, traveling up the arm and striking Damon. The wind elemental falls to the ground with a loud thud. Suddenly Dante’s legs are trapped in a hill of stone that rose from the ground. He merely glances down, unfazed. “Blades of Kagutsuchi!” Kyle shouts and forms two long katana blades made of fire. He charges at Dante, ready to cut him down. Dante just flares his aura up and destroys the stone around his legs and quickly blasts Kyle away with a large burst of energy. Two large walls of bedrock emerges from both sides of Dante. “Bedrock Deathtrap!” Darrel shouts and slams both walls into each other to crush Dante. For a few seconds it seemed that he was successful, but his relief was laid to rest as the walls bursts into rubble and Dante stands, unwounded from the attack. “Earth Gol-” Darrel tries to perform his next attack, but is struck by a large beam of energy, sending his tumbling across the ground.
Suddenly Rebecca jumps at him from behind, wielding a Gallon Hammer that was ten times the usual size. “Take this, my 1000 Gallon Hammer!” she thought as she swings it down on him. Dante pierces his hand through it and completely evaporates it with an energy blast. “!!” Rebecca watched in shock as her giant water weapon was reduced to vapor. He then launches an energy chain that latches onto her leg, swinging her forward into the air, and then blasts her with an explosive energy ball. As Rebecca falls to the ground, large funnel shaped flowers rapidly grow from the ground, aiming at Dante. They proceed to shoot seeds like mounted machine guns that all explode when they strike him, kicking up sand. The sand cloud then compacts into a ball that quickly implodes to crush Dante. Lilly and Allen wait to see if their assault was successful. They get their answer when two beams pierce through the crushed sand and strikes their chests, causing an explosion of energy. They fall to the ground, smoke emitting from their soot covered torsos.
The sand crumbles and Dante stands unfazed, brushing off sand from his shoulder. “Thunder Halberd!” David shouts and creates his weapon of massively gathered electricity. “…one left” Dante said as he shifted his eyes to him, creating a long blade of energy around his hand. David surrounds himself with electricity and charges at Dante with lightning speed. Dante quickly swings his arm and after David dash passed him, his halberd was sliced him half. “…!?” David made a look of shock, but before he could question it more, a large gash opens across his chest, spewing blood. “That’s… impossible…” David whispered as he collapsed, his halberd halves disbursing. “…” Dante looked over the battlefield and the fallen elementals. Dominic struggled to get back up, and the other twitched and shook as they attempted to move, groaning in pain. “…you all really don’t know when to quit. I’ll have to end it now before I subject you to more agony…” Dante said. He rockets into the air using the energy aura around him, creating a burst underneath him like a jet turbine.
Dante then puts his hands together, wrist to wrist, spreads his fingers out, and gathers energy from his flaring aura into his palms. “Genocide Cannon” he grimly said as the energy gathered in his hands is unleashed into a giant massive beam that was ten times his own size. The beam collides with the ground, creating a massive explosion in the shape of a growing dome of energy that shook the land and pushed large gales of wind.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The earthquake and the high winds reached the people at Maplewood Village. “What the heck is going on?” “What’s with this crazy weather!?” they exclaimed. “Look!” a villager said and points to the energy explosion in the far distance. “Is that what’s causing it?” “What an explosion!” “Is this Dante’s doing?” they asked. Josaphat looked at the explosion with a worried look. “No doubt about it, only that powerful bastard is capable of that…” he said and closed his eyes. “I really hope those young elementals are ok… especially since they’re going up against someone who can do that…” he thought.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The explosion of energy finally cleared, revealing the devastation caused by the blast. The area was now a crater of destroyed earth and soil, and what was left of Dante’s tower was completely vaporized. Dante lowers to the ground to examine the area and make sure his enemies are dead. He walks forward and sees Damon, David, Kyle, Rebecca, Lilly, Darrel, Allen, and Dominic were lying motionless, all heavily injured and scorched from Dante’s intense energy blast. “…I’m amazed that all your bodies managed to stay intact; resilient to the every end… I respect that” he said to them. He glances at Dominic, the aura around disappearing as he sighs with regret. “Sorry Dominic… if only you saw it the way I see it…” he said and starts to walk away. “Better gather the Sins and find another…” he stopped when he heard a noise behind him. He quickly turns around and sees Damon slowly and shakily lifting himself off the ground with his arms.
“You’re still alive…?” Dante asked, raising a white eyebrow. He points a finger at him and gathers energy. “It’s futile, just accept your fate and save yourself from more agony…” Dante said. “SHUT UUUP!!!” Damon shouts, wind suddenly bursting from his body as he got back on his feet. I refuse to die… not until… I become the new World Guardian!!” he exclaims. “What the…?” Dante asked, surprised as he watches Damon summon more energy. “Where is all that energy coming from?! Is it limitless!? …wait… could he be… HIS son? Yes… no doubt about it… there’s only one person from the Albatross Clan I know who can tap into so much reserve energy…” Dante thought. “Hmph… it’s just you. Everyone else is de-” “David! Rebecca! Kyle!” Damon shouts, interrupting Dante. “You three want to be the new World Guardian like I do right! If we’re gonna be the new guardian, then we’ll have to fight monsters like these all the time!! To prove that we have what it takes, we gotta kick his ass!” he shouts. “…” “…” “…” David, Kyle, and Rebecca slowly start to get back up. “What!?” Dante shouts in disbelief.
“Allen, you’ve had a rough past right? I don’t know what happened, but I’m sure this is nothing compared to that!” Damon shouts. “…you’re right…” Allen said and slowly got up. “Darrel, when it comes to determination and guts, you beat me by a landslide! If I can stand from this then you can with no problem! Lilly, you trained for this, to help me fight at my side, and right now I need your help more than ever!” Damon told them. Darrel and Lilly slowly got back on their feet too. “Grand Master… you’re not gonna let your students one up you… are you?” Damon asked with a smirk. “…hell …NO!!” Dominic shouts and slowly rises up. “Then get back up everyone, so we can kick this guy’s ass!” Damon shouts.

Elemental Encyclopedia
Volume 9: Meta-Humans
To put it simply, meta-humans are humans who implanted elemental gems into their bodies to gain the strength and powers of elementals. The elemental gems pump the energy they hold inside into the humans’ bodies, powering them up. Unfortunately, not all humans can take the energy, and thus die from it. This is the reason why creating meta-humans is illegal in most areas (especially in government controlled counties). Those who are able to handle the elemental energy usually become low class meta-humans, or “Imperfect Meta-Humans” as I like to call them. They possess the superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and durability that elementals possess, but are unable to generate an element from their energy or use it to control any pre-existing elements. Because of this, they usually use gem imbued weapons. Weapons can also be powered by gems, making them strong enough to harm elementals, but I believed I covered that in the Elemental Gems segment in an earlier chapter.
Because humans aren’t really compatible with elemental energy, they’ll usually become imperfect meta-humans if they survive. High class meta-humans are a rarity, and the most dangerous and strongest kinds. High class meta-humans, or “Perfect Meta-Humans” I label them as, are meta-humans that can generate and control a certain kind of element. The element they control are usually vastly different from the ones that current elementals of today control; some aren’t even “aspects of nature” but rather man-made substances. One example is Elliot, who was a Machine Meta-Human. He was able to manipulate machinery, able to control various mechanical parts and bring them together to create various kinds of machines that follow his orders. Machines aren’t exactly “natural” so it’s quite bizarre that a human given elemental powers are able to control such a thing. Although there are meta-humans who had powers of long extinct elementals, such as Gregory who control syrup and Mathews who controlled magnetism, both being elemental types that existed at once point, but now have long died out.
There’s also a middle class between the two kinds, at least I like to think so. I call is middle class “Semi-Perfect Meta-Humans”, and they’re like imperfect ones, except they excel at one certain trait then the others. The only examples I know of are the Meta-Human Army’s Assassination Squad. All three of them fall under the semi-perfect class, as their power was a physical trait rather than an element. Lenard was a Power Meta-Human because he possessed a lot more physical strength than a typical meta-human or elemental, but his speed and durability was the same. Zackary was a Sonic Meta-Human because he possessed a lot more speed than average meta-humans and elementals, and Bryan was an Armor Meta-Human because he was a lot more durable, almost invincible, but didn’t possess a lot of strength or speed to make something of it. It’s be pretty frightening if a Meta-Human was able to possess all three of those powers, but having more than two gems in their bodies would defiantly kill them; there is no record of a human being able to handle two gems, let alone three in their bodies.
Since we’re taking about them, let’s get more into the Meta-Human Army. As the name obviously implies, it’s a paramilitary terrorist organization completely made up of meta-humans (save for two individuals). They were led by Alexander Lucardo, the same person who was a colonel of the Human Extremists mentioned in the previous segment. He possessed a lot of knowledge about meta-humans, presumably from his father, Dr. Aloysius Lucardo, who was the first person to create a meta-human. He along with his longtime friend, Dr. Leroy Galvin, discovered the method and did many tests on humans, many of them dying until they found a perfect way to create them without killing the subject. It seems Aloysius shared his knowledge with his son before passing away from an illness. Alexander used that knowledge to make meta-humans for the Human Extremists to power their armies, but as stated in the previous segment, Alexander was arrested for committing terrorist attacks well after the Great War was over, and was imprisoned and sentenced to death, but mysteriously was able to escape. I’m suspecting that Dr. Leroy had something to do with it…
After escaping, Alexander and Dr. Leroy found an uninhabited island in the middle of the ocean and for the next thirty years, started to build their army of meta-humans. Because of Dr. Leroy’s knowledge, he was able to create meta-humans with very little to no fail, making an army of around 10,000 meta-humans, nine of them perfect class, three of them semi-perfect class. Dr. Leroy would turn himself into a meta-human, but Alexander decided to stay as a regular human. They would recruit a mysterious elemental hating man named Elliot and give him the power to create machines with his mind, creating many of them to serve the army, increasing its overall military might. For every perfect class meta-human they were able to make, they gave them a high rank, even a small boy who was able to create syrup became a general, but he was forced to serve the army by Elliot giving him candy laced with a very addictive drug that gave him painful withdrawal symptoms. They also recruited a corrupted elemental named Michael Darkheart, who only joined the army so he could help get rid of the competition for the Gem Hunt, stating he’d destroy the army himself once he was done working for them.
With their army created, they began their attack little by little, attacking small countries until they decided to make themselves known, attacking the Seven Great Elemental Cities, declaring that they will enslave all elementals and overthrow the government, and thus rule the world. But of course, if you read the entire story up to this point, me and my students, with a little help from the previous Four Heavenly Kings, fought off the attacking forces and eventually found their island headquarters, where we fought and defeated the army to save Lilly who was captured by Elliot prior. One by one their generals were defeated, along with Michael Darkheart and Dr. Leroy Galvin. Alexander actually had a hidden agenda, after the elementals were enslaved, he would have them all killed one by one, and after the elementals were gone, he’d had the meta-humans killed off too, implanting tiny micro-bombs into the gems that would detonate with a press of a button (assumingly Dr. Leroy was spared from this, seeing as he was a family friend to Alexander). Being a regular human, Alexander wasn’t affected by it.
Elliot would find out about the bombs, and sent Nano-machines into each meta-humans’ bodies to get rid of the bomb, ruining Alexander’s plan. Elliot eventually killed Alexander during the big battle with the meta-human army, and fought with Damon before he himself was killed when his mechanical armor blew up. With the death of Alexander and Elliot, and the imprisonment of Dr. Leroy and most of the generals, many of the soldiers fled from the island and the meta-human army was disbanded, and thus was no more. The threat of the meta-human army finally ended, for now…
I know there’s already bios on the high ranks of the army and there was already a run down on the army’s organization chart, but for the sake for this Encyclopedia we’ll put it down here for a brief summery for each officer and general:

And also, a list of Elliot’s machines that he created for the army. Some of these weren’t shown in the story, and so their status is unknown. We weren’t able to find them after the army was defeated. Anyways, here’s a list of Elliot’s various machines:
BEEHIVE-E01: A robotic hive that holds several mechanical wasps for surveillance throughout the army’s headquarters. Status: Unknown.
CROW-E02: A bird robot made for scouting outside the headquarters, spying on the world outside and to tract enemies. Status: Unknown.
CENTIPEDE-E03: A long robotic centipede made up of several segments that can split apart, revealing a machine gun in each segment. Status: Unknown.
ROLLER-E04: A ball shaped robot with a titanium shell that rolls around, strong enough to crush rocks. It can eject a chain to latch onto objects two swing around like a wrecking ball and has a large canon that shoots massive fireballs hidden inside it. Status: Unknown.
OCTOPOD-E05: A dome shaped robot with long tentacles that have clamps on the ends and four masks around the head that shoots fire, ice, wind, and electricity. Status: Destroyed by Rebecca Ocarina.
WALKER-E06: A large gun turret with long extendable legs, letting the turret spin around in a 360 circle and fire concentrated laser beams. Status: Unknown.
FROGGER-E07: A giant frog like robot that can leap several feet into the air and crush it’s targets and also possess a long electrified tongue. Status: Destroyed by Dominic Novastar (with a tank!).
SPYDER-E08: A large eight legged spider robot that has a Gatling gun in its mouth and a cannon in its abdomen. Was upgraded with many weapons with flamethrowers and grenade launchers. Status: Destroyed by Dominic Novastar (me again!).
SCORPIO-E09: A mechanical scorpion with a long retractable tail that has a poison laced bladed tip and missile launching pincers. It specialized in surprise attacks by hiding underground. Status: Destroyed by Damon Halberd.
LEO-E10: A large lion robot with very sharp claws that vibrate to increase cutting power, a revolving mane with several guns attached to it. Status: Unknown.
DRACO-E11: A giant robotic winged dragon with spikes down its back and a large spikey tail. It has retractable claws with machine guns hidden underneath, a large flamethrower in its mouth, and a missile launcher on its back. Status: Destroyed by Damon Halberd.
CHAMELEON-E12: A robotic chameleon built for stealth missions, able to launch its spikes from its back and has a built in camouflage device that makes it invisible. Status: Unknown.
SERPENT-E13: An underwater machine built like a long serpent with searchlights in its eyes. It’s built with a Gatling gun in its mouth and nozzles on its sides that shoot freezing vapors. Status: Destroyed by Christopher Vulcan.
TURTLE-E14: A large machine in the shape of a turtle that spins around as it flies (Elliot must have gotten inspiration from a certain kaiju…). Its shell is made of a very tough and durable metal that protects it from almost any weapon, and it drops bombs from its chest and can extend its neck to attack with its clamp like mouth. Status: Unknown.
DIGGER-E15: A mole shaped machine with large claws made for tunneling underground, able to launch its drill like nails and has a mini-gun attached to its nose. Status: Unknown.
HOUND-E16: A robotic wolf that can move at high speeds, has eyes that can scan for heat signatures, and shoot poison tipped needles from its mouth, as well as shoot powerful sound wave. Also has razor sharp claws it can launch out attached to a metallic rope. Status: Destroyed by Lenny and Jenny Chloroa.
TOWER-E17: A giant machine that has a upper half of a humanoid torso with long crushing arms and scatter bomb launcher on its head, and the lower half of a large tower made of rotating segments all with large cannons attached to them. Status: Unknown.
KNUCKLE-E18: A large green machine in the shape of a rotund humanoid with very large boxing glove shaped fists. It has tremendous strength, able to break a boulder with a single punch and it can launch its fists attached to a chain. Status: Destroyed by David Halberd.
MANTIS-E19: A tall praying mantis shaped machine with large scythe like claws that it can launch out, returning to it like boomerangs and can shoot lasers from its eyes. Status: Unknown.

GOLIATH-E21: A large mech suit with massive arms and legs that unlike the other machines, is actually manned and piloted by Elliot himself. It has jet thrusters built into it and has many weapons built into its arms, like machine guns, core drills, and cannons. Elliot can use his ability to instantly upgrade into bigger, bulkier, and more humanoid forms, adding weapons like lasers, energy blades, energy cannons, and missile launchers. Status: Destroyed by Damon Halberd.
CHIMERA-M01: Not one of Elliot’s machines, but 1st General Mathews used his magnetism powers to combine the scraps of OCTOPOD, FROGGER, SCORPIO, KNUCKLE, and HOUND to make his own machine. It was unstable as it was merely a bunch of scraps magnetically sticking together, and while he was able to split it apart in various ways, it was easily destroyed. Status: Destroyed by Christopher Vulcan.
Phew! Man this was a long segment. Mostly because I listed off a bunch of nonsense. So that’s the gist of meta-humans. But just because the Meta-Human Army is gone along with Alexander, it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any more meta-humans in the future! Next time will have the last Encyclopedia segment for a while now. (Author’s Note: Thank god!!).
…ahem, yeah I’m glad someone’s happy. Well the last segment will explore further on the Government of the World. So I hope you’re looking for a long documentation on a bunch of old guys! Heh heh, oh don’t worry they have a sense of humor! …most of them at least. Well, till next time!
======================================================
“…” Damon’s eyes widen, seeing Lilly being held by her neck. “…” Lilly quickly had flowers grow from Dante’s tunic, shooting large bursts of pollen in his face. “Nghh!!” he grunts and tossed Lilly away, her body hitting the floor as Dante rubs his burning eyes. She grunts in pain, holding her arm. “…” he rips off the flowers from his tunic and looks over at Damon and Dominic, saying “I’ll spare your friends more pain… if you join me, child of the Albatross…” “What!? That’s ludicrous!” Dominic shouts. “Silence Dominic…” Dante told him as he pierces his shoulder with a finger beam. “Aaagh!” Dominic shouts in pain, falling to the ground and holding his bleeding shoulder. Dante walks over to Damon, looking down at him. “Humans react violently to things they fear or don’t understand, and thus kill anything they feel is a threat to them whether provoked or not. It’s because of them that your blood family was killed. If you join me… we can avenge them and make sure humans never do such a thing ever again. Dominic and your friends are siding with the very people who killed your mother and father, so they are the enemies. Since they are your friends, I will spare their lives, but only if you join me. Make the right choice, I don’t want to kill the only remaining relic of the Albatross clan” he told him.
“Dante… you really have lost your mind haven’t you...? I can’t believe how much you’ve sunken…” Dominic said from the ground. “…” Damon reaches his hand up slowly towards Dante. “…!?” Dominic’s eyes widen. “So, you decided to join me?” Dante asked, reaching for his hand. “…” Damon took a deep breath and moved his hand to aim it at Dante’s face. “HELL NO!!” he shouts and blasts Dante’s with a large gust of wind in his face. “Guuaah!” Dante shouts and flies into a wall. Damon got back up and cracked his neck joints. “As if I’ll join a person who hurt my friends like that!” he shouts at him. “Gramps! I’m sorry for zoning out back there, but you and me are gonna have a serious talk after this!” he shouts at Dominic. “…” Dominic closed his eyes. “Alright…” he sadly said. Rebecca, Kyle, and David slowly got back up, watching Damon. “Good to have you back Airhead” Rebecca said. “Sorry guys… you got hurt because of me” Damon told them without turning his head, keeping his eyes on Dante. “I’ll make it up to you all by kicking this bastards’ ass! F3!!” he shouts, entering F3 mode and releasing powerful winds from his body.
Dante drops down from the wall and twirls his staff. “Such a bad decision you made boy, now I have to kill the last of the Albatross!” Dante exclaimed as he charges at Damon, swinging the staff down at him. Damon jumps back to dodge it, seeing the staff easily crushing the rock floor under it. Dante thrusts the staff’s end rapidly at his face, but Damon swiftly dodges each thrust of the staff. “Air Cutter Blade!” Damon shouts and swings two fingers to create a thin blade of wind. Dante is pushed back by it a bit, then uses his staff to push it to the side. “Air Cutter Fury!” Damon shouts and launches multiple air blades at Dante. “…” Dante simply twirls his staff, deflecting them away. “Grand Air Cutter!!” Damon shouts and swings all five fingers down to create a massive air blade. Dante, once again, blocks with his staff, but noticed it was cutting into the wood and pushing him back quite far. “!” He quickly swings his staff to push it away.
Damon had gathered wind in his hand and shaped it into a small compact ball all the while, and had already dashed towards Dante. “Hurricane Bomb!!” he shouts and throws the ball of wind at Dante, who blocks it with his staff. The hurricane bomb breaks through it, to Dante’s shock, and strikes his chest. “Nghh!” Dante grunts as the ball explodes into violent winds and blasts Dante away, crashing through the walls of his fortress and sent soaring through the sky into the far distance. Damon makes a big exhale of breath, the winds spiraling out of him dying out. He quickly runs over to Lilly, helping her off the ground. “Are you alright?” he asked in concern for her. “Don’t worry about it, I’m fine” Lilly smiled. “I’m… sorry for earlier…” Damon sorrowfully told her, hanging his head. “I completely blacked out and…” he continued, but Lilly puts her hand on his shoulder. “I’m glad to have you back” she reassured him.
“So… did Damon beat him?” Darrel asked, seeing the hole left from Damon’s last attack. “Not at all, Dante won’t be beaten by that” Dominic said. “However I have an idea on how to finish this… as an energy elemental, Dante is powerful, and the only thing that can beat energy is energy itself. You were all effective when you fought him at once as a team and combined your attacks, but our best bet is to use pure energy, and we can only do that by mixing all of our element into one” he told them. “Wait, you mean we should attempt using…” Rebecca began to say, unsure if she really thought she knew what Dominic was planning, but he quickly eased that doubt and said, “Yes, it’s time we try using the Elemental Blitz Bomb!” he announced. “…the what now?” Damon asked, crossing his arms and tilting his head to the side in confusion.
“Ughh seriously!? Just how many lessons did you sleep through!? How the hell did you pass this last semester in the first place!?” Rebecca scolded. Damon looked away and puffed his cheeks up, annoyed but also embarrassed. Rebecca then sighed and said, “Whatever… an elemental blitz bomb is a very powerful technique done by a team of multiple elementals. Each of them simply mix each of their energy into one big ball of pure energy that causes a devastating explosion when it explodes. It, of course, works better when the team is made up of different kinds of elementals.” “The more elementals that put their energy into it, the bigger and destructive the energy bomb will be” Dominic added. “With a group of eight different kinds of elementals, I’m sure we’ll be able to create a blitz bomb that even the likes of Dante won’t be able to handle” he said and raises his hand, his palm pointed to the ceiling. “Ok, all at once!” he shouted. All seven of them quickly send out a portion of their element, Lilly shooting a small beam of her own energy from a small flower grown from her palm, into Dominic’s palm as he mixed them using the space above it and mixed in his own.
A large white glowing ball starts to form, but it bulges out all over before bursting. “Gyaaow!” Dominic shouts, staggering backwards from the sudden burst. “What happened!?” Kyle shouts in surprise and confusion. “Ughh… there wasn’t a good balance in elemental energy. There needs to be a steady balance of each element or else it’ll become too unstable. Someone exerted too much energy, more than everyone else did…” Dominic explained. They all looked at Damon. “…what? Me…?” Damon asked, sweating nervously. “Who else? You’re the only one here who has a problem keeping your power in check, you’re always shooting big bursts of wind and exhausting yourself!” Rebecca told him sternly. “Hey, didn’t you train him to not use up so much of his energy at a time?” Kyle asked David. “I did. …to a point…” David responded with a sigh. “While it’s not as bad as it was before, it’s still a problem” he added. “Nghh… we can’t afford to mess up again, we’ve all been fighting hard and lost a lot of energy. We have to try again!” Dominic said.
“An Elemental Blitz Bomb, very ingenious Dominic…” Dante said as he hovers near the large hole in the tower’s walls. “Too bad your brats aren’t well trained enough in using it” he said with a cold glare. “Damn, I knew he’d be back in such short time…” Dominic looked at the others. “Quickly, do it again!” he told them. “As if I’d let you!” Dante shouts and shoots a large beam of energy at them. “F3!!” Damon shouts and quickly powers up. “Gale Wave!!” he unleashes a large powerful blast of wind that collides with the large energy blast. The two forces struggle with each, the energy beam pushing against the wind blast and moving it back little by little. “Hnnnghh…!!” Damon grunts loudly, forcing more wind out from his hand to push back the energy. “Hold on Damon, I’ll warp you out of the way!” Dominic said, getting ready to teleport him. “No! Make the bomb! Quickly!” Damon shouts as he struggles to push out more wind from his hand. “What!? But you can’t hold him off for long!” Darrel told him.
“…do as he says” Dominic said and raised his hand. “But he…” Lilly tried to say but Dominic shouts, “Now! Quickly!” before she could finish. The other six quickly shoot out their element, once again, to Dominic’s hand. Damon did the same, shooting a constant blast of wind from his free hand, as his other still pushed back the energy. A large white ball of energy appearing over his hand, a stable ball of energy. “It’s balanced!” Dominic said in surprise, and then continued with, “I see, the output of his wind in that hand is halved since he’s releasing wind from the other.” Dante watched the Energy Blitz Bomb being formed, narrowing his eyes. “Damn it…!” he cursed and aimed his energy blast at Dominic. Damon quickly dashed in front of the energy blast and shoots out a very large blast of wind to push it away. “Gramps! Throw it!” Damon shouts. “Right!” Dominic quickly hurls the large bomb of energy at Dante at high speeds. “I’ll just dodge it” Dante thought and got ready to move, but the energy bomb suddenly vanished.
Dominic grins and lifts two fingers. “He warped it, but wh…” Before Dante could finish that thought he turned and saw the energy bomb already about to collide with him. “Got you…” Dominic said in triumph. The bomb detonates in a brilliant explosion of bright energy. Before the explosion could reach Damon and the others, Dominic quickly teleports them and himself out of the tower, appearing outside at the base of the old building. Dominic sits down and catches his breath. “Ughh… that last one nearly drained me completely…” he said. Everyone looks up, seeing the explosion clear up. Dante falls from the sky and lands on the ground with a loud thud, close to the group. “Wow… that really did the job” Rebecca said in amazement. “I knew the Elemental Blitz Bomb would do the trick. I’m proud of you kids, I thought we’d had more trouble making one but we were able to do it on the second go. Not bad for a bunch of brats, heh heh!” Dominic chucked warmly. “And that was nice thinking on your part Damon, to balance out your wind output. Guess you’re not that dumb after all” Rebecca told the wind elemental. “Ah, well… I just have my rare moments…” Damon blushed and rubbed the back of his head.
“Listen, Damon… about… keeping that secret from you…” Dominic began to tell him, but Damon puts his hand up. “Actually, I already thought about it… I know I said I wanted a long talk but… I remembered that long talks are too boring” Damon told him as he sat with his arms crossed. “Hmm?” Dominic blinked, baffled. “You had your reasons, and it doesn’t matter anyway cause I know the truth now so it’s all in the past” he said. “…” Dominic smiled, relieved. “I see” he said. Lilly watched them and smiles and blushes happily, happy to see Damon forgiving. “I’m sorry for lying to the rest of you too. Especially you David” Dominic told them. “I’m with Damon, bridge under the water” David said with a simple nod. “Well then, now that everything’s been wrapped up, let’s call this a mission success!” Kyle said with a thumbs up. “Right, time to take this stubborn old mule and his brats to jail…” Dominic said.
Suddenly Dante punches the ground as he slowly gets up, despite being heavily burnt by the elemental bomb. Seeing this made Dominic and the group very astounded. “He can still get up after all that? How tough is this guy?” Darrel asked. “Enough Dante, you lost this battle. Now stay down before you get hurt even more” Dominic warned him. “It’s just like you said Dominic… I’m a stubborn old mule… and this fight is far from over!” Dante exclaimed. “Enough Dante, you’re beaten!” Dominic told him. “Not… yet…” Dante said and puts the tips of all ten of his fingers to the center of his chest. “I’ll show you something… that even you don’t know about Dominic…” he added and suddenly shouts as his body surges with energy, forming a bright and tall aura around him before the horrified Dominic.

Bonus!
Ok time for another entry in the encyclopedia. This one is gonna be a little personal as I was involved in this historical event.
Elemental Encyclopedia
Volume 8: The Great War
As stated in another segment, when the Government of the World was first created, it was initially a government for the humans only as they let the elementals be independent and follow the World Guardian. Unfortunately because of this, some elementals believed this meant that they were outside the law and could do anything they wished towards humans and would commit criminal acts towards them and think they can get away with it. Also, some humans thought the same way towards elementals, thinking they can do heinous acts to them since the laws don’t abide to them. This led to the creation of terrorist groups from each race, the Human Extremists and the Elemental Extremists, sometimes they’re also referred to as Supremacist. These two terrorist organization would cause attacks all over the world and clash with each other like a big gang war, hurting innocent civilians in the crossfire.
That’s when the government decided to step in and stop the two dangerous groups. The head chairman and the world guardian of that time collaborated together and called for both human and elementals to join the government’s army to help battle the terrorists. That’s when I joined the army along with Dante, me being a young man of twenty eight and Dante thirty one. We were immediately thrown into battle as the squad we were put in was sent off to ward off both extremist groups as they were attacking each other in a small town. Once we got there we helped civilians move to a safer place where they wouldn’t get hurt during the fighting, but it wasn’t easy. The town was filled with these violent extremist, and purposely attacked innocent civilians out of spite (being racist extremists and all). Fighting them off and protecting civilians at the same time was quite difficult, but Dante was able to do it with no problem. Of course I used my warping technique to its fullest advantage, but it was still a hassle as there were thousands of people in the town.
Another big conflict between both extremist groups got so bad that it completely reduced a village into shambles and ashes, and our commanding officer helped the people look for a new place to live. You might think that the elemental extremists were the tougher one of the two groups, but the human extremists were just as bad; they were fully prepared to fight elementals after all. First of all they had Meta-Humans, which will be fully explained in another segment, and while it was a new term at the time they were still trouble, we didn’t except humans to have the strength of elementals. Finding a Meta-Human with elemental powers was very rare, less than the Meta-Human Army had, but the number of low class Meta-Humans were still grand, and they can be a hassle to fight off when they come in great numbers. They also possess powerful weapons fueled by elemental gems, from swords, guns, to war vehicles and machines.
One of their most famous and deadliest machines they like to use is the Elemental Buster, a large mechanized suit powered by several elemental gems. They’re about twenty feet tall loaded with different weapons like machine guns mounted on their robotic arms and a jet turbine on their backs for flying. They also had weapons like grenade launchers, flame throwers, missile launchers, and energy cannons. The elemental gems also made the mechs very resistant to elemental attacks, even attacking it with a bolt of electricity won’t even so much as dent it. It’s also made of a very strong metal alloy, thus it’s resistant to physical attacks too. Like the name implies, it’s a perfect anti-elemental weapon, although Dante was able to be a lot more effective against them then the rest of us, with obvious reasons (they didn’t count on fighting an elemental that uses pure energy). They also made a giant version of one that was about forty feet tall, all though they said it was just a prototype. They managed to do a lot of damage with it before the Government’s army was able to destroy it.
The elemental extremists were no walk in the park either. They were nasty people who never keep their power in check, like they’re supposed to do. They think they can just unleash their element anywhere they want, not caring about any innocent bystanders or collateral damage. They’d blast you away if you just look at them the wrong way, human or not. Lot of them were actually just a bunch of pompous ass youngsters, though most of the leaders were older elementals. One commander, however, was merely fifteen years old and he was one of the most dangerous members of the extremists. He was a space elemental like me and a very powerful one at that. I clashed with him once, and… he completely dominated me in battle. I couldn’t even get one hit in, but he nearly killed me. If it wasn’t for Dante arriving in back up, then I wouldn’t be here today telling you this story. After that, I’ve never heard of that young space elemental again. After the war, he simply vanished without a trace.
The human extremists also had Alexander Lucardo, who was a colonel ranked officer in the army. A nasty vile man who really hated elementals and dreamed of a future where only humans lived and elementals don’t exist. He was known for torturing and killing elementals in horrible ways. He’s the one who was heavily involved in creating meta-humans for the army and even after the war ended and the treaty was made, he continued to attack towns with his army, but his army was small, so the Government was able to easily stop them and bring him to custody. He was sentenced to death, but somehow he escaped before he was executed. It’s still unknown how he was able to escape, some say he got help from outside forces. Thirty years later and he created the Meta-Human Army, a spiritual successor to the human extremists. More info on that army in the Meta-Human segment.
The war lasted for about nine months, it was a long tiring battle but eventually both extremists’ parties lost too many soldiers and their highest officers, and thus both of them surrendered. Soon after, the government and the world guardian made a peace treaty between both races, and the government incorporated their laws with elementals too, thus no one was outside the law and thus any crime towards any race was punishable. Of course it was so in the beginning even before the treaty, but now it has become heavily enforce by the fact the government looks over both races so neither race would think twice about doing any hate crime against the other. The government also hired elementals in their ranks and created the Elemental Enforcer Squad, or the E.E.S, a police force consisting of strong elemental warriors and divided them for each city the government was aligned with. It was a grand victory for the world, but even after the treaty was made, there are still hate crimes happening towards both races. But now both humans and elementals work together to stop them. And while we were victorious, a lot of us seen awful things during the war, including Dante as I recently found out.
Well that should cover the basics. If I described every single detail of the events that happen during my time in the war, then we’d make a whole new long running story, and it’s already taking a long time making this one, though that’s more so to do with someone’s laziness… ahem but anyways, next time we’ll go more into depth about what Meta-Humans are!
=================================================
“Hey… mom? Can I ask you something?” a young eight year old Damon asked his mother. “Sure sweetie, what is it?” Veronica Halberd asked, a long black haired woman told him as she watered some flowers. “…am I adopted?” Damon asked her nonchalantly. “Ehh!?” Veronica drops the water canister upon hearing him, tensing up. “Wh-why would you ask that?” she said, looking at him with a nervous smile. “Well… everyone else in the clan has long black hair… and they’re thunder elementals. Also people keep saying that the Halberd Clan was strictly for thunder elementals and no one else…” Damon said. “…” Veronica looked away, a sad look on her face. “It’s alright mom, you can tell me” Damon said. “…yes, you’re adopted Damon” she said looking down. She didn’t know how he would react and hoped he wouldn’t think badly of her for not telling him sooner. “I knew it!” Damon said, snapping his fingers. “Ehh!? You… you’re not upset over it?” she asked.
“Well no, I kinda figured myself. Besides I don’t really know about my real family. As long as I can remember I’ve been with the Halberd Clan, “Oh, thank goodness... I was worried you might have gotten mad…” Veronica sighed in relief. “So who are my real family?” Damon asked bluntly. “Huh!? Y-you’re real family!?” Veronica sweats nervously. “Yeah, who were they? Why did they send me away?” Damon asked her. “…” Veronica was silent for a second, then she said “We don’t know, I’m afraid” “You… don’t know?” Damon asked sadly. “No, we found you in a village where everyone perished… we believe it was a rival clan’s doing but we don’t know much of the details. We don’t even know the name of your blood clan” Veronica said sadly, sweating nervously. “…” Damon looked down. “…well, that sucks” he just said and crossed his arms. “You’re taking this eerily well…” his mother said nervously. “Well, it’s no big deal I guess, I don’t know them” he said. “Still though, who was my clan? And who were the rival clan who killed them?” he thought.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“So you don’t know either gramps?” Damon asked Dominic as he sat in his office. “It’s grand master… and no, unfortunately I don’t” Dominic told him. I investigated the village your parents found you in and found nothing. They were secluded in a forest so not many people know who they are” Dominic said, looking a little bit nervous. “What about the ones who killed them? Do you have any leads on them?” Damon asked. “…no, I’m sorry” Dominic said, sweating. “…hnnn, man this is a kick in the pants. A clan no one knew vanishing of the face of the earth by another unknown clan… I got the luck of the draw didn’t I?” Damon sighed. “I’m glad you’re taking it well” Dominic said. “I was afraid you might be looking for revenge” “…well I was thinking of finding this mysterious clan and make them face justice for what they did, I mean they could be still out there!” Damon exclaimed. “Err… perhaps… but uhh… let’s think about doing that when you’re a little older? Like maybe thirty ehh?” Dominic laughed nervously.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damon continued to look down at the ground, sitting as he remembered being lied too. “Oi!! Damon snap out of it already!” Kyle shouts. “It’s no good… that revelation really hit him hard…” Darrel said. “Damon…” Lilly sadly said. “…” David looks over at Dominic and said, “Is what he said true Grand Master? Did you really lie to him? And me?” David asked sternly. “…” Dominic puts his hand to his head, sweating heavily. “I… didn’t want…” he began to respond. “Foolish attempt Dominic! You think lying to him would solve your problem with no drawbacks like that!? You didn’t think he would do research regarding his clan?! Pretending you didn’t know the name of his clan wouldn’t help you in any way, he was bound to find out the truth on his own someday!” Dante berates. “…” Dominic closes his eyes and sighs in regret as he remembers the day he found out about the massacre of the Albatross Clan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“This… I can’t believe it… everyone in this village was really…” a then forty four year old Dominic said in utter shock and despair, seeing the ruined village. A few elementals of the E.E.S looked around the buildings, gathering the dead bodies they could find. “And you said you recognize the clan’s symbol?” he asked Dale, thirty seven at the time, who stood next to him. “Yes… not many people know about them, they like to stay secluded and keep to themselves. I believe they’re the Albatross Clan, a clan of wind elementals…” Dale told him. “A wind elemental clan… those are rare as it is… and even more so now that… ughh…” Dominic groaned and shook his head. “This is too horrible…” One of the E.E.S officers runs over to Dominic, saying “Grand Master! After examining some of the bodies, we found out that all of them had their bodies completely drained of their elemental energy” “What!? All of them!?” Dominic asked in shock. “Yes… and their bodies have the same puncture holes, the same as… last time…” the E.E.S officer said, tilting his head down.
“Last time?” Dale asked. “…we… we had a report a few weeks ago. A group of young elementals were attacked and killed by an unknown assailant. They too had the puncture holes on their skin. It’s then we heard about a rumor… about a human with a strange weapon that absorbs energy from elementals” Dominic told him. “What!? That’s absurd! Humans have no such technology!” Dale exclaimed. “Yeah, I thought it was ludicrous too… but what elemental has the power to drain another’s energy?” Dominic asked. “……” Dale stayed silent, having no answer. “It seems a lucky human made some sort of energy draining invention and has been testing it around...” Dominic said and puts his hand on his forehead, grasping it softly in an attempt to settle his mind from this horrific event. “Many people think it’s just a hoax… but… what other possible explanation is there?”
“…” Dale still stayed silent; he simply couldn’t think of anything to say. “…you said there was a lone survivor?” Dominic asked. “Yes, a small infant. We… took him to our home” Dale told him. “…really?” Dominic asked, rather surprised. “I thought you were pretty strict on the thunder elementals only rule. What made this special?” Dominic asked. Dale just looked away and scowled, blushing slightly in embarrassment. “…cinnamon rolls huh?” Dominic asked. “……” Dale continued to ignore him. “Ahh, I see. Well, either way it seems the survivor of this massacre will be living with you, not knowing what has happened to his blood family. Dale… can you do me a favor? When the boy grows up, wises up to the fact he’s completely different than your clan, can you tell him… tell him that the one responsible for this was a rival clan?” Dominic asked him with a serious look. “…I see, you don’t want his view on humans to be tainted. You think he would take revenge on them. Because of your dream for peace with them” Dale sternly said. “…” Dominic said nothing, unable to respond to the truth stated. “…very well. I owe you for saving me back in the war. And I’ll be sure to tell Veronica too…” Dale said to him
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Thanks Dale, it really means a lot to me” Dominic’s response echoed in his head, opening his eyes and looks at Dante. “How… how did you know about them Dante?” Dominic asked. “It was some time after the war. I wanted to travel the world and see if the peace treaty we fought for was worth it in the end. I met them during my travels and they welcomed me with open arms. Despite being secluded to everyone, they had a very friendly and neighborly attitude towards strangers. I got to know them… I visited them very often…” Dante said, his hands starting to tremble. “Then that day… I found them all dead… I desperately tried to find the culprit, and I was able to catch a glimpse at him… a person with a strange weapon on his arm…” He clenched his fists, hard enough that his fingernails pierce his skin and cause blood to drip down. “I was too devastated to chase him down; I was reliving the terror I saw back in the war… it was too much for me. I ran off and never looked back… and then… a few days later… I heard the report from the E.E.S… that the culprit was a human! It made sense now, that weapon was made to kill elementals!”
“So that was the reason…” Dominic said and remembered when Dante suddenly left. “What…? What do you mean you’re leaving? Where are you going?” Dominic asked. “…I can no longer follow your dream Dominic… I’m sorry… I can no longer live along the humans. I’m leaving… I have to be away from them…” Dante said, his back to him. “Good bye old friend… and I’m sorry… but I need to do something about this…” he suddenly takes off into the sky, using his energy to rocket into the air and fly away. “Wait! Dante! Dante!!!” Dominic shouts out, absolutely confused and distraught. “I see now…” Dominic said to himself. Energy gathers in Dante’s hand and he blasts a hole through the ceiling. He quickly jumps up into it, leaving the others, except Damon, look up in confusion. Dante jumps back down, holding a long red bo staff with golden ends. “Dominic… your dream… for peace with humans… I just can’t see it happening. That is why I left… all I have seen… just proves to me that humans can’t get along with humans… at all” Dante said, sending energy into the staff.
“That’s why I decided… to DOMINATE THEM!” Dante shouts and charges at the group as he twirls his bo staff rapidly like helicopter blades. He aims a powerful staff strike at David, who quickly blocks with his arms. “!!” David grits his teeth as tries to push against the staff, but the sheer force of it causes him to be sent flying back, crashing into a wall. “What power…!” a shocked Darrel exclaimed. Dante shifts his attention to Darrel and aims the end of his staff at him. Darrel quickly creates an earth wall to defend himself. He thrusts the staff and pierces right through the stone wall, striking Darrel in the stomach. “Nuugh!” Darrel grunts, coughing up blood as he reels back. “It pierced right through it…” Lilly shakily said in horror. “He’s sending energy into his bo staff to increase its density and power. I’ve only seen him use this technique once, it’s strong enough to pierce the armor of the Elemental Busters used in the Great War…” Dominic said, watching in fear.
Kyle tries to strike Dante with a flaming punch, but he quickly jumps back and slams the staff down on his head, imbedding it into the rock ground. “Damn him…!” Rebecca growls and shoots a geyser of violently spinning water at Dante, while Allen shoots a large wave of sand at him at the same time. Dante charges at them and twirls his staff rapidly, deflecting and breaking through both attacks easily. Before they could react to it, Dante bashes them away with a swing with the staff, causing them to fall to the ground and roll across it. Lilly was the only one left, looking at Dante with fear in her eyes. He just looks down at her, his piercing gaze fixed on her. Dominic quickly ran to Damon, who still sat on the ground motionlessly, and shook him harshly. “Snap out of it already Damon!! Can’t you see what’s going on around you!?” he shouts. “…” Damon was silent.
Lilly spreads her arms out, getting ready to attack, but Dante quickly reached out and grabbed her neck, causing a squeak of pain to come out of her. He lifts her up, glaring at her and said “It’s a shame I have to kill someone so young and innocent…” in a deep and malicious tone. “…” Dominic watched in fear, and quickly grabbed Damon’s head to turn it and forcefully show him what’s happening. “Your friends are in trouble! How long are you going to sulk on the ground here!? I’m sorry that I lied to you for my own selfish reason, but don’t let this stupid lie be the cause of the death of your friends!!” he shouts at him.
Volume 7: The Top Seven Elemental Cities
So Elementals pretty much live everywhere and anywhere in the world. There are only a few areas in the world who prohibit elementals from living in their settlement, and vice-versa (as those areas have a closed-door policy with the government). An “Elemental City” is basically a term for a large settlement in a country where elementals are the majority population and have a Grand Master stationed in it. Humans can still live in elemental cities, and some can even be the mayor or governor too. There are thousands of elemental cities, but the government made a list of seven hand-picked cities that they deemed to have the strongest Grand Masters living in them (me included, heh heh). All seven are in different countries all over the world, and the Grand Masters in each of them have meetings with the government’s council occasionally to report what’s going on in their cites.
The Top Seven Elemental Cities are:
Sacar City – The city where a majority of the main characters live, which includes Damon and David, Rebecca, Kyle, Lilly, and yours truly. It’s the third largest city in the world (coincidentally the other two largest cities are in the list of seven). It’s surrounded by a lush green forest and has a long river coursing right down the middle of it. Meaning on rainy seasons there’s an unfortunate risk of flooding. But it only happens once a year during autumn. It doesn’t snow very much in the country it’s in and the weather is usually relatively warm even during the winter, with temperatures being around 30 degrees at its lowest (usually, there are some cases where it plummets lower than that). The summers can get very hot too, and because of that there’s a big investment on air conditioners, the Breeze Machine Company being the biggest in the city. The mayor of this city is a human named Trevor Davis. The Grand Master Elemental here is, of course, a space elemental named Dominic Novastar (me).
Glowlite City – The second largest city in the world, and the busiest to date. The city is known for being bustling with entertainment, gambling, and nighttime activity. The city is filled with large neon signs and giant Jumbotrons, getting people to see their show, theater plays, casinos, restaurants, and other things that are too much to count. Seasons are usually balanced in this city, though sometimes it can reach below zero in the winter. One of the biggest companies of the city is the Plumargo Tobacco Company, a corporate that sells very good cigars and cigarettes. It’s also the city proud enough to have, what many people consider, the best amusement park in the world: Twilight Park! Unfortunately powerful earthquakes can hit the place hard, even reaching 8.3 in the past records. The mayor was previously a human, Derrek Maxwell, but after the events of the Meta-Human’s attack on the major cities and due to the fact he (regretfully) let elementals get captured by them, he renounced his position of mayor out of guilt and gave it to his aid, a Light elemental named Jarvis Glimmerin. The Grand Master Elemental here is an ice elemental Jiminy Apricot.
Celesta Kingdom – The only one of the major cities that’s actually a kingdom ruled by a human royal family, as well as the smallest of the seven, is a city located in the deserts far into the east. Because it is smack dab in the middle of a large vast desert, trade and marketing to foreign areas is very hard for them as they have to travel a long distance in order to do so. Thus they don’t use much of the more advanced technology of today, relying more on natural resources. Despite not having much trade with countries or having much technology, the kingdom does very well on its own. Because it’s in the middle of a hot desert, the people there wear cloaks to protect their skin from the harsh sun. Also sandstorms are a problem within the kingdom, but they made ways to prepare for them and lead people to safety. The royal Celesta family has been ruling the kingdom since the very beginning. The current king is Ramses Celesta, but because of his illness (he’s very old), his son Salem Celesta takes the role of ruling the kingdom in his father’s place. The sand elemental Scorpius Clan are seen as the great protectors of the kingdom, and have been protecting it for a long time. The Grand Master is Esmeralda Scorpius, who is also the clan leader of the Scorpius Clan.
Alcardo Capital – The largest city in the world, and the city where the world government’s headquarters are. The city is famous for its art, education, commerce, finance, and health care. It’s referred to as the “smartest city in the world” as it hosts the greatest university you can ever find. Because the government is stationed in this city, there is very little crime, for as the people say in Alcardo: “The top officials of law are right down the street”. It’s also why the city seems to be among the cleanest places and the people there are polite and act like “proper ladies and gentlemen”. Tornadoes are a consent problem in the city, especially between May and July. Although the government’s high council live in the city, they still have a mayor to look over and run the city (the council in concerned with the whole world after all). The mayor is a water elemental named Mira Lilac. The grand master elemental is a darkness elemental named Patrick Raveneye.
Roganka City – A city build along the coast of the ocean and surrounded by a tropical jungle. Like Celesta Kingdom the city has no advanced technology and rely heavily on natural resources. Because they live around a tropical jungle, natural resources are very easy to obtain. It’s one of the most popular vacation spots in the world, people from all over visiting the city’s beach and getting some rest and relaxation. The city excels in tourism as a result, convincing people to come visit their city of paradise. The food there is also among the best in the world, and let’s just say there’s a lot of passion in the air as many people find their true love when they visit the city… or so they say. Though the city of paradise isn’t completely perfect, hurricanes are a frequent problem there, some can be very big and cause lots of property damage though out the city. The mayor is an elder human man named Desmond Jeserburge. The Grand Master Elemental is a wood elemental named Blake Mahogany.
Welska Central – A city in a very snowy country, where it has winter weather all year long. Everyone there wears thick jackets and coats to keep themselves warm from the harsh cold. Though it’s not to say that city doesn’t have any sunny days, and it does get warm. The city lives near very tall mountains, one of them happen to be one of the tallest in the whole world. People all over visit the city to test their strength and skill by climbing the mountain, seeing if they can climb to the top (of course elementals are given a handicap to not use any of their elemental power). The last human to climb the top was Malcom Maxwell, a general who fought in the Great War, siding with the government. The last elemental was Grover, the government’s Commander-in-Chief. Because of the cold weather, the city is subject to many blizzards, and occasionally they get avalanches from the mountains. Despite the snowy weather, it is a very peaceful place to live. The mayor of the city is also the Grand Master elemental (the only one of the seven major cities that this happens), a fire elemental (ironic no?) named Bruno Firebrand.
Tecolote City – A city that’s located on a country that’s on an island in the middle of the ocean. This city is known for their technological advances, having built convenient devices like cell-phones and those gem detecting devices, and shipping them to different countries of the world. Lot of people say it’s the “City of the Future” due to the technology they make. They even think that they’ll be the ones who will invent hover cars. It’s also a city of respect, politeness, and honor, the people of the city holds people with such traits in high regard. Since the city is on an island, tsunamis are a constant problem and the city suffers damage from very large ones, especially on the costal line. The human mayor of the city is Beck Walker, a brave man who’s willing to fight attacking elementals despite being a human (he fights with a gem powered sabre). The Grand Elder is a time elemental, Samuel Chronos.
Phew, this was a long one eh? Well for the next one I will go more into the Great War that took place thirty years ago. As a veteran soldier I’ll have lots to talk about for that one… Till then!
=====================================================
“Damn it all… now Dominic is back up on his feet…” Dante told himself quietly. “Nghh…” Dominic puts his hand on his side from where he was pierced by Dante’s eye beams. “Hnn… he’s still injured though. The fruit doesn’t heal wounds after all” Dante commented. “He’s right… I got my energy back but I’m too injured to keep fighting. And even if I did… I don’t think I could beat him. I’m sorry guys… I hate to force you to do something I can’t finish myself…” Dominic told the group. “Hey, that’s why we’re here Gramps. We’re your soldiers who help their comrades!” Damon said with a grin, punching his palm. Dominic nods and says, “I may not be able to fight, but I’ll offer my assistance to you as much as I can!” with a reassuring smile. “Hmph… seven against one. Let’s see how this fairs out…” Dante said, his hands glowing with energy. The seven silently wait for his attack, paying close attention. “Haa!!” Dante shouts and shoots out a large beam of energy from both hands, aiming at the seven. They dash away in opposite directions and Dante moves his hands, redirecting his energy beams towards the dividing group.
The energy strikes both of the groups, causing two explosions. The smoke clears and both groups were protected by a wall of rock and a wall of compact sand. “!!” Dante looks up and saw Kyle and David had jumped in the air, shooting a fire ball and lightning bolt at him. Dante jumped out of the way to dodge the elemental attacks as they destroyed the ground, and is suddenly kicked in the head by Rebecca. “Nghh!” he grunts as he flew back, quickly using his hands to push against the ground and flip around to land on his feet. He points his index fingers at Rebecca, gathering energy in the tips. “Piercing Shot” suddenly a stone arm emerged from the ground and uppercuts him in the chin. “Puuooh!” he shouts, spitting blood as his body tilts up and shoots the celling with his energy bullets instead, causing an avalanche of debris fall on him. The dust settles as Dante had his arms over his head. He saw Allen and Rebecca running towards him to attack, but Dante quickly jumps in the air. He opened his mouth wide and gathers energy, but suddenly Kyle appeared and slammed both hands clasped together down on his head, causing his mouth to close.
“Nghh!” he grunts loudly as the energy explodes in his mouth. He coughed heavily, waving away the smoke from his face. Suddenly a large blast of electrified water strikes him dead on, electrocuting him. “Guuah!!” he shouts as he falls to the ground. He quickly gets up, his skin lightly burned. “He’s really tough, he’s only slightly singed after that” David said. Kyle lands next to him and Rebecca, making a three point landing. “Yeah, this is gonna be tougher than I thought…” he said. “Looks like we’ll just have to keep at it” Rebecca said. Dante spreads his fingers out and reaches out his arms. “Shotgun Flash” he said and shoots an energy bullet from each finger. The three dodge the energy bullets, Dante following them and constantly shooting spread shots of energy bullets. Suddenly Dante noticed something approaching him from behind and quickly turns around and shoots it with his energy bullets. It was only a sand sculpture of Allen which exploded into sand particles, then swirls around Dante. “Damn it, just a dirty trick…” Dante said, covering his eyes with his arms. Then large fireball blast through the sand, melting it into glass as they aim for Dante.
“!!” Dante covers his body with his arms to protect himself. “Nghh…” he growls in aggravation as the molten glass strikes him, burning his arms and legs. “Enough of this…” Dante said and shook the molten glass off him which only gave him minor burns. He aims his hand at Rebecca, David, Allen, and Kyle and grabs his wrist with his other hand for support. “Plasma Cannon!!” he shouts and shoots a very large blast of energy at them. Suddenly a large and wide wall with a lion face carved in it pops up in front of them, blocking the blast and causing a massive explosion. “Jeeze, he’s really overdoing it now. He’s getting angry” Kyle said, having to cover his eyes from the bright explosion with his arm, despite wearing sunglasses. “He’s getting desperate” Rebecca said. “I’m surprised my Lion Gate was enough to block it. I had to reinforce it with my energy” Darrel said.
The dust settles and Dante noticed red rose pedals were floating around him. “?” Then a violent wind surrounds him, swirling the rose pedals rapidly around his body. He noticed one cutting his cheek, drawing blood. “What!?” He shouts and quickly covers himself with his arms again. The pedals graze all over his body, giving him small bleeding cuts. “Good work on those sharp pedals Lilly!” Damon said, giving her the thumbs up. “My Saber Rose Pedals go great with your Storming Wind” she said with a soft smile. Dominic watched the battle, observing the seven young elementals. “They’re mixing their elemental attacks perfectly, completely fighting in tandem with each other. Just like how we were trained to fight in the army… guess fighting in that senseless war paid off after all” he thought with a pleased smile on his face.
Dante jumps back from the wind to escape it, but saw large rocks fly towards him. “Terra Crush!” Darrel shouts and the rocks crash into Dante, forming a large ball with him trapped inside. “Alright everyone, do it!” Darrel called out. The other six of them quickly shoot a large blast of their element from their hand: a gust of wind, a thunder bolt, a geyser of water, a large fireball, several sand javelins, and a wave of sharp rose petals all strike the large ball of rocks, causing a massive explosion from the colliding elements. “That should do at least some damage” David said. “Yeah, I put a lot in that gust of wind!” Damon exclaimed. The dust settles and Dante was revealed to be inside a large energy barrier. “What!? A shield!?” Darrel said in shock. “You’ve got to be kidding me!” a distraught Rebecca said. “You cheater!” Damon shouts angrily at Dante. “Cheater? All’s fair in love and war…” Dante said as he floats inside the energy barrier. “I’ve mastered my element to use it as effectively as I can, to the point of perfection, able to counter anything that’s thrown my way. My Titan Guard instinctively form when I’m in immediate danger”
“So, you recognize us as a danger huh?” Damon said with a sly grin. “…” Dante glared at him. “Good!” Damon shouts and gathers wind around his arm, then pulls is back and creates his Fujin’s fist, stretching it to the others. “Everyone, mix your elements inside of it!” Damon said to them. “Huh? What is he planning?” Rebecca said. “Is he gonna try to break the shield?” Darrel asked. “Hurry, all of you now!” Damon shouts. “Well let’s see if this works” David said, sending lightning into the wind fist. The others follow, putting in water, fire, rocks, sand, and rose pedals. “Pompous brats, just because I had to deploy a shield to defend from your attacks doesn’t mean you’re strong enough to break it!” Dante shouts. “We’ll just see about that! Fujin’s…!!” Damon yells as he pulls the giant wind fist forward, the different elements swirling inside it. “Hnn?” Dominic noticed the elementals caused bright sparks of energy as they twist and spin. “Olympian Fist!!” Damon finishes and swings the giant wind fist forward at Dante, clashing with the barrier around him.
The old energy elemental was pushed backwards against a still standing wall, the giant fist pressing on against the energy shield. He notice a large crack forming in the barrier where the fist was pressing into. “What!? It’s breaking!?” a shocked Dante exclaimed. The cracks grow and spread throughout the barrier. “He’s doing it!” Lilly said, raising her arms in a cheer. The barrier shatters, causing an explosion of energy. Damon lets out a breath and rubs his arm. “Heh heh, look at that, we were able to break through his pure energy he’s so proud of!” Damon said with a smirk. “Mixing our elements like that was a good idea Damon” Darrel told him. “You can actually be pretty smart sometimes Airhead, though it’s pretty rare” Rebecca said with a sly smile. “…thank you Rebecca…” Damon said with a forced grin, his eye twitching from her comment.
Dante emerges from the rubble, brushing off dirt from his shoulder. “I’m impressed wind elemental… you certainly have potential. It’s a shame that you’re not on my side…” he told Damon. “Of course not! I’d never work for such an evil man!” Damon shouts and pulls his eyelid down at him and sticks his tongue out. “Bleeeeh!” he shouts, taunting him. “…hmph, it’s funny you would say that considering…” Dante said. “Ehh? Considering what?” Damon asked. “…you don’t know, do you?” Dante asked him. “…know what!?” a confused Damon shouts. “What happened to your clan…” Dante said. “!!” Dominic tensed up. “He knows!” he thought. “Hey that’s right! You know about my blood family! What do you know about them!?” Damon shouts. “Are you… the one who killed them!?” “No you fool. Dominic really didn’t tell you, did he?” Dante asked. “He told me an unknown assailant wiped them all out, possibly from a rival clan” Damon said.
“…” Dante shifted his eyes over to Dominic. “Seriously Dominic, lying to a child. I didn’t think you could get so low…” he said in a deep tone. “Dante, don’t tell me you know what really happened!” Dominic shouts. “Ehhh? What really happened? What are you guys talking about!?” Damon said, greatly confused. “What the hell’s going on?” Kyle asked. “They’re… talking about Damon’s clan?” Rebecca said, confused herself. “…” David crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes as he listened in. “Dominic lied to you, Damon Halberd. I knew the people of your clan, the Albatross Clan” Dante told him. “…the Albatross… Clan? That’s… my family name?” Damon asked, shocked to hear the name of his blood family. “That’s right. Dominic, you knew too didn’t you? And yet you lied to him and said you didn’t know…” Dante said. “Dante stop! He doesn’t need to know!” Dominic shouts at him. “He has every right to know! Did you lie to him because he was too young!? Or maybe you didn’t want him looking for revenge against the true killer of his family!?” Dante berated Dominic.
“True killer…?” Damon asked. “The one who killed your clan…” Dante begin to say. “DANTE!! STOP!!” Dominic shouts and runs towards him, but Dante quickly shoots a small energy blast at the ground near his feet. “Gaah!” Dominic grunts as he stumbles and falls. “The true killer of your entire family…” Dante attempted to say again. “NOOO!!” Dominic shouts. “It was a HUMAN! A human killed your entire clan!!” Dante exclaimed. “…………!?” Damon’s eyes widen after hearing Dante’s words. “…w…what?” he squeaked out. “…damn it…!” Dominic cursed, hitting his head against the floor. “…did I just hear him right? Did he say a human killed Damon’s clan?” Rebecca said, in complete disbelief. “……” David lowered his eyes. “Hey that doesn’t make any sense! How can a single human kill a whole clan of elementals?! Even with gem powered weapons a single human stands no chance against a whole clan!” Kyle shouts at Dante.
“Yes… it’s really farfetched, but I swear that what I saw was a single human. He wasn’t a meta-human either, a regular unpowered human. He had a strange device attached to his arm. It seemed to be some sort of weapon no one has ever seen before. I went to visit them, but to my horror I saw… once again… many innocent elementals slaughtered… and again… by a human. It happened again… I witnessed a true horror for a second time…” Dante said, his hands trembling and starts to sweat heavily. “Do you now see why humans must be kept in line!? They’ll just keep slaughtering elementals with no remorse!! Like a bunch of vicious animals! And like dangerous animals they must be kept retrained! And if they get too dangerous, then they must be killed like cattle!!” Dante shouts, his eyes bloodshot, filled with rage. “Dante…” Dominic whispered in horror. “He’s completely lost it…” he thought. “…” Damon fell to his knees, looking down at the ground. “A… human? …killed my… family?” he said quietly, his mind beginning to collapse. “Hey Damon what are you doing!? Snap out of it! Damon!!” Rebecca called out.
Elemental Encyclopedia
Volume 6: History with Humans
Well I think now is a good time to discuss the elemental’s relationship with humans throughout the past since… well considering the events of the story of recent. In ancient times, elementals lived on floating islands in the sky. Scientists don’t know exactly how elementals got on those islands, as the giant gems presumably caused giant chunks of land to fly up high in the air. We also don’t know when they got on them or for how long, the origin of where elementals come from or how they came to be is still a mystery. Five hundred thousands of years ago the Artic Century, a one hundred year period of freezing temperatures, caused the floating islands to fall down to the earth where humans lived since the beginning. That was when humans first met with the elementals and since they ‘appeared from the sky’, humans though they were god like deities.
For many years humans worshiped elementals like gods, and many elementals ruled as kings while others wished to live as regular citizens. As the years go by, humans stopped worshiping elementals and saw them as either fellow people or big threats (although even today there are still some cultures and countries who see elementals as god like beings). During medieval times elementals would serve as soldiers for kings, emperors, and other royal families, or be kings themselves. It was during these times that elementals helped create weapons for humans to use against elemental enemies, forging gems into swords, spears, maces, and other medieval weaponry. It was also during this time that a myth was being passed around about three deadly weapons created by both humans and elementals were made that could spell the destruction to the world.
While some humans saw elementals as their fellow man, there were also some that saw them as huge threats, believing that they would conquer the world and enslave the human race. Same goes to elementals, while some saw humans as equals, others saw humans as inferior beings or humans themselves would try to enslave elementals now that they have the weapons to fight against them (though some were unaware that elementals were the ones who taught humans to make anti-elemental weapons). So tension rose between the two species, discrimination and hate crimes inflicted through one another, and eventually wars were fought in some areas between the two. As the monarchy age came to an end, a new form of government took its place. About one thousand years ago, World Leaders from over a hundred countries would ban together to create a government where they could help out the entire world (except for some areas that have their own government) and the citizens can have a say on how they run things, making it a big world democracy. We’ll go more into detail about the government in a later segment.
The government was made for humans, letting elementals be independent from them. The government worked to establish peace between humans and elemental, but unfortunately wars between the two still raged on. Because the government left elementals to themselves, they couldn’t exactly get too involved with the battles between the two races. They could only suppress the human side as the World Guardian and his followers would stand against opposing elementals. Around thirty years ago is when the wars got way out of hand, as two large groups, Elemental Extremists and Human Extremists were batting heads constantly, endangering the countries they fought in. That’s when the government and the World Guardian made the decision to band together and try to get the two factions to put down their arms and settle their differences with a peace treaty. They refused. So the government made their own army of both humans and elementals to fight off and suppress both factions, forcing them to make a peace treaty and cease the wars once and for all. This big battle would be referred to as the Great War. More on that in another segment too.
Thus the wars have stopped for a long period of time, though attacks on humans and elementals persisted, such as the unfortunate event that involved Damon’s clan as you found out. So even after the Great War, racism towards elementals and humans continued as organizations and terrorist groups tried to continue where the two extremist groups failed, such as the Meta-Human Army and Dante’s group. It seems no matter what, there will always be hostility between both races. I dream of a world where all humans and elementals can get along, and many people share my dream… but it seems to be just that, a dream… Maybe someday they’ll learn to get along with each other. They do for the most part in the world, but there will always be war between the two, no matter what…
I suppose it’s because they don’t understand one another and thus fear them, and when you fear something you try to get rid of it. But there’s nothing to fear with both humans and elementals, both species are remarkable people that can do wondrous things! So to sum it up, most of the time, and in most places in the world, elementals and humans have a good relationship. Just not always. Humans are not all evil, and elementals are not all evil. Both races have both good and bad people, as everything has a balance of good and evil. Many believe humans and elementals are one in the same, just elementals have access to a special power. If just everyone could see it that way, the dream of peace just might be realized…
Well I think I rattled enough about this topic. Hopefully if you had a negative view on either race, this helped you change your mind and think more kindly on them. We all have our struggles in life, just because elementals have incredible power doesn’t mean we live the easy life. So next time we’ll talk about the Seven Great Elemental Cities! Till next time friends!
======================================================
“It’s a shame to see you like this old friend…” Dante said, looking at Dominic who stood holding his limp arm, blood dripping from it. “Someone who once was a strong soldier fighting at my side, now broken and beaten as he stands in my way. I really didn’t want to do this to you Dominic, but you just had to stick your nose into my business” Dante shot a small energy beam from his finger, striking Dominic’s leg. “Nghh!” Dominic grunts in pain and falls down to one knee. “The safety of all people, humans and elementals, IS my business!” Dominic exclaimed in anger. “The humans need guidance from higher beings or they will just tear each other apart, and everything around them! You don’t understand the horrible things I saw them do! YOU WEREN’T THERE!!” Dante shouts loudly, his voice echoing throughout what was left of his tower. “No, I wasn’t. But I know of several horrible acts that humans committed in the past…” Dominic said and looks Dante straight in the eyes with a glare. “And I know elementals have done the same in the past as well…” he told him.
“…” Dante stayed silent. “It’s unfair to label humans as evil monsters while elementals are capable of the same things. There are good humans and bad humans, good elementals and bad elementals. Stop discriminating one race for doing something when the so-called dominate one does the same thing!” Dominic shouts at him. “Of course I know that! That is why I shall dominate elementals as well! I will become the new World Guardian and rule both elementals and humans. With my leadership in both races then order and peace will settle in the world” Dante said, tightening his fist. “By ruling you mean segregating humans and elementals, and making elementals the dominant race” Dominic said. “It’s just fate, elementals possess greater power than humans. Therefore elementals are the ones who should rule…” Dante said. “…you just don’t get it…” Dominic sighed and reaches his hand out. “Exosphere Dome!” he shouts and suddenly Dante is trapped within a pitch black dome with small white specks, resembling stars.
“Nghh… this technique… I can hardly breathe…” Dante thought, completely immobilized. “I didn’t want to do this… especially to someone like you Dante, but you leave me with no other choice. I pray you get out of this alive…” he added and clenches his fingers. “Star Swords!” he shouts and the white specks inside the dome shoot through Dante in piercing beams, shooting all over. The black dome disappears and Dante’s body falls to the ground, motionless. “…” Dominic walks up to Dante’s body panting heavily, lowering his head. “I’m sorry I had to end it like this, old friend…” he said. Dante suddenly lifted his head and shot out a thin energy beam from each eye. “!!” Dominic was pierced through the abdomen, blood spilling out. “Guah!” he shouts, coughing up blood. “I should be saying that…” Dante said, getting back up as Dominic fell down to the ground. “How the tables turned so quickly…” Dante continued. “I know that technique… one of the greatest and most powerful techniques a space elemental can use, but it’s very hard to master. You warp a large chunk of outer space, a dome of a black vacuum that immobilizes the target inside. And within that dome you also warp many small pieces of plasma from stars, or the sun itself. Then you move the bits of plasma to shoot through your target and conflict heavy damage…”
“Guaack!” Dominic grunts as he coughed up a large amount of blood, struggling to get up. Blood seeped through his hand as his covered his wound. “Barely anyone gets out of that attack alive, and it uses up a lot of the user’s elemental energy, so it should be used as a last resort. Still… being able to warp a large portion of outer space is unheard of, and scientifically impossible. But space elementals are notorious for bending the rules of physics. Unfortunately you overlooked one flaw. Plasma is pre-existing energy, which I can absorb into my body” Dante told him. “…heh heh, that’s right. I should have known that…” Dominic smiled as blood dripped from his jaw. “Stupid me…” he chuckled. “…if you had just went all out in the beginning, you wouldn’t have needed to resort to that technique. I know you’re capable of more than that. But you showed retrain to me… that was your biggest mistake” Dante said and moved his hand to aim it at Dominic. “I’m sorry… this is the end for you my friend. Thank you for what you’ve done for me in the past, but it seems faith has different plans for us…” he said and gathers energy in his hand. “Do you have any parting words, my old friend?” he asked.
“Heh… it’s true… I just couldn’t get myself to kill you Dante. You… are a true friend… no, you’re like a brother to me… and that got in the way… and that made me weak…” Dominic said with a smile. “I wish I was strong like you Dante… you have no qualms about killing me… even though I’m your dearest friend…” “…” Dante closed his eyes, trembling a little bit. “That’s right… it’s really hard on me… but I must do what I have to do…” he said. “It must be tearing you up inside… having to kill your brother… but you’re strong Dante… you have an iron will that won’t let you convince yourself to turn the other way. That’s what I admire about you. I can’t do that… I love ya too much brother!” Dominic said with a big grin. “…if you’re trying to use emotions to change my mind it won’t work” Dante said, clutching his other hand real hard as his opened hand gathers even more energy. “I know that, I’m not trying to do that. What I’m trying to say is that I might not be able to take you down, because of what we’ve been through. That’s why… I brought those seven kids with me. Seven rambunctious brats who see you nothing more than a threat. They won’t have any problems beating your ass!” Dominic chuckled.
“Don’t be ridiculous, by now Arthur should have finished off those weakling brats of yo…” Suddenly Dante’s eyes shot wide open, sweating heavily. “What… what is this!?” he said panicky. He lowered his hand, the energy vanishing, and looked out the tower’s window. “What’s wrong Dante? You’re looking pale…” Dominic said with a grin. “Those seven… their energy has skyrocketed! I was caught up in my fight that I didn’t notice! How did they gain so much…” his eyes widen again. “The tree! Damn it… I should have made Arthur send it to his void… I thought it’d be useful to leave it where is was…” Dante said to himself. “Rambling to yourself Dante? You really must be in a panic. I don’t think I’ve seen you like this before…” Dominic joked. Dante makes an aggravated grunt, glaring at Dominic. “Damn it all…” Dante cursed and closed his eyes, putting two of his fingers to his forehead. “Where are they? They must be coming here… how far are they…?” he asked himself. “…!!!” his eyes shot open and he shouts. “Two of them are already here!?” He franticly looks around, gathering energy on both hands. “Where are they!?” he shouts.
Suddenly there was a gust of wind that passes Dante from the direction he’s looking away from. “What the…” he said as he turns his head, just to see Damon flying towards him at top speed. “BASTARD!!!” he shouts at the top of his lungs and punches Dante very hard across the face. “Ghhnn!” Dante grunts loudly, spewing blood as he flies across the room, toppling across the ground. “Let’s get one thing straight you old fart…” Damon began to say as Dante got up from the ground, wiping the blood off his beard. “If you lay a hand on my Grand Master again… I will break every single of your bones in your body!” he declared, cracking his knuckles. “Insolent little…” Dante said, gathering energy in his hands. He was then struck with a bolt of lightning, hitting him in the chest. “Guuaah!” he shouts as he was pushed back into the wall, causing it to crack. David stood at the door’s entrance with his hand out, surging with electricity. “That goes for all of us” he said.
Before Dante could move, a large blast of fire and water spinning around each other strikes him, causing him to break through the stone wall. “Heh heh! How’d you like that? That’s our special Water Fire Love Cannon!” Kyle said as he walked into the room with a grin. “We’re not calling it that…” Rebecca said with an annoyed tone, walking in after. “It’s an attack that combines two opposing elements into a powerful blast that symbolizes our love that ignores the boundaries between us!” Kyle exclaimed happily, tears running down his face with a clutched hand. “We’re not doing this ever again…” Rebecca said, dragging her hand down her face in aggravation from his behavior. Dominic watched them from the ground, smiling. “I knew they would win, they’re defiantly my students” he thought happily. “Grand Master Dominic!” Lilly exclaims, seeing him on the ground. She quickly goes to him and has him lay on his back. “Don’t worry, I’ll patch these wounds up pronto!” she said and quickly grew several thick Aloe Vera leaves in her hands. “Grand Master, I’m sorry we weren’t here sooner… we could have saved you less injuries if we did” Allen said, bowing down on one knee in shame.
“Don’t worry about it, it’s not your fault. You all had to fight strong opponents right?” Dominic said with a smile as Lilly wrapped his wounds up with the Aloe Vera leaves. “Yeah but we were pretty banged up… we were lucky that the village elder showed us the Tree of Vitality” Darrel said, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment. “Wait, you guys didn’t know about it before?” Dominic asked. “Huh!? You knew about it!?” Damon exclaimed. “Well yeah, when we first got here I noticed it. It’s a big tree after all. Didn’t you all see it?” he asked them. They all were silent, not wanting to admit they didn’t notice the large tree. They all looked away or looked at the ground in embarrassment. “Heh heh! Well we were far away from it when we got here. But hey, at least you guys found it” Dominic smiled. “I’m glad you seven are alright, I’m proud of you all” he kindly told them. “Well, we learned from the best” Rebecca said with a blushing smile, the others nodding in agreement, Damon giving a thumbs up.
Dante emerges from the hole, removing his tattered cape. “I refuse to believe it… a bunch of little children were able to defeat my sins! You bunch of sappy pups took down my pack of hungry wolves! How is that possible!?” Dante shouts. “Simple” Damon said and steps forward. “They may have been the Seven Deadly Sins, but we’re the Seven Heavenly Virtues!” Damon said with a wide determined grin. “…” Dante merely glared at the wind elemental, not saying anything. “Seven Heavenly Virtues?” Kyle asked. “Yeah, they’re the opposite of the seven sins right? And each of us seven took down one of his seven sins. So we’re the heavenly virtues that counteract the sins. It’s a little team name for us I made to include Lilly, Darrel, and Allen” Damon said. Lilly smiled and blushed and shyly said, “Us t-too?” “Hmm, it sounds a bit cheesy but I like it” Rebecca said.
“I’ve heard just about enough…” Dante said, gathering energy in his palm. “Even if you defeated my sins it won’t make a difference. I was able to defeat all seven of you so-called virtues effortlessly the last time you were here…” he tosses the ball of energy in the air. “And I will do the same here! Meteor Crash!” He shouts and splits the ball of energy into seven, then send them crashing down on the seven virtues. “That’s the attack he used before…” Dominic watched with a worried look, remembering the seven being defeated by the attack. “…” Damon just smirks and when the energy ball came down close to him, he quickly wings his arm and strikes it back with his forearm. “Hraaah!” he shouts as he bashes it away, having it crash through the stone walls. David, Rebecca, Kyle, Darrel, Lilly, and Allen did the same thing, swatting, bashing, punching, chopping, kicking, and palm striking the energy spheres away from them, sending them out of the tower. “What!?” Dante shouts in shock, looking at the holes left by the energy spheres. “How can anyone… just deflect pure energy…?”
“Ah! I almost forgot!” Lilly said and goes to Dominic. “Here, I saved this one for you” she said and hands him one of the apples from the vitality tree. “Thanks Lilly!” Dominic happily said and quickly eats the apple, getting back up. “Alright Dante, are you ready for your ass whoopin’?” he asked, grinning widely.
Volume 5: The Elemental Gems and the Gem Hunt
There are millions upon millions of these jewels that come in different sizes, shapes, and colors called Elemental Gems, or shortened to E-Gems. The true origin of theme gems are a bit sketchy, but many scientist believe that these gems are crystalized energy from the center of the world. It’s filled with so much energy that it causes the gem to float up in the air. People once believed E-Gems were living creatures as the jewels would actually move around because of the great energy inside. Scientists don’t really know how or why it happens, it just seems they radiate a lot of power that it causes them to fly through the air. They strangely like to perch on top of all areas like towers and tree tops and again scientists can’t really explain why. When people find these gems, they have to put them in special containers to keep the gems from floating away.
The small ones don’t move when they’re buried underground, however very large ones which can be as big as people seem to have the power to float up despite being buried deep underground. When they do, they bring the chunk of land they’re buried in up with them. This is widely believed the reason behind the floating islands where elementals originated from. Because the giant sized gems held tremendous amounts of energy, it was able to lift large chunks of land into the air. Because of the Artic Century all the floating islands fell to the ground and all the gems it held, including the large ones, were harvested. Today they’re either shown on display in museums or owned by some of the wealthiest humans and elementals, contained in special compartments so they don’t float away and take any surroundings with it. Elemental gems are sold for grand amounts of money but the giant ones are priceless, since they have enough energy to power an entire city.
Gems are also used to forge anti-elemental weaponry. Normally the guns used by humans have little effect on elementals. While shooting a human with a gun anywhere could be fatal, bullets merely bounce off an elemental’s durable body. Don’t get me wrong, bullets can still hurt an elemental, but it’s a minor pain compared to a mortal wound a human would suffer. Even firearms that shoot explosives like grenades and rockets would only cause minor wounds. So humans made up for this by using weapons powered by E-Gems. The energy from the gems would transfer to their weapons, giving them power to penetrate an elemental’s body, making the gun as fatal as it would on a human. This method also works on weapons such as swords, axes, spears, and clubs. Swords would cause small scratches on an elemental’s skin, and usually would break when used on them, but by forging a gem inside the sword, it surrounds the sword with energy, letting it cut through elemental skin. Experts can even control the energy inside the sword, sending energy slashes at their enemies. Many believed that humans thought of the idea of putting gems in their weapons to fight off elementals, but the truth is elementals thought of it and showed the humans to help them fight off attacking elementals.
The E-Gems can also power machines and robots. The human extremists during the Great War thirty years ago used machines like tanks powered by gems to fight against their elemental enemies. They also used machines called “Elemental Busters” which were large mechanical battle suits manned by soldiers and armed with weapons such as cannons, Gatling guns, and missile launchers. These suits had gems built inside them, making them destructive against elementals. They also had very hard metal coating and along with the energy from the gem powering it up, made them very resistant to elemental attacks. Other machines, like the ones built by Elliot of the Meta-Human Army, were also powered by gems. We’ll talk more about the Meta-Humans in a different segment.
Of course as you know, the E-Gems are an important part of the Gem Hunt competition that declares the new world guardian. Before the games begin, several grand masters would gather around ten thousand gems and have them spread out through the entire world. Then elementals, as long as they’re thirteen and older, can register to compete in the Gem Hunt. Elementals who are still in school can take the semester off in order to compete, but first have to finish the current semester they’re in and have a passing grade. Those who don’t can’t compete. Like I stated in the previous segment, even if an elemental who’s still in the middle of school becomes a world guardian, they still have to finish school no matter what. Then all registered elementals start finding the gems all over the world. Each of them are given a gem detector that homes in the energy inside the closest gem in there vicinity and a special gem container that holds any collected gem and keeps them from floating away. The container can only hold twenty gems at a time, so the competitors rent large safes they can put their gems in. The safe also automatically count how many gems are inside.
The first competitor who finds a gem gets to snatch it up, but if two or more elementals find the same gem, they must battle for it. Last man standing gets the gem. Also, if there’s no gems in the area, elementals can challenge other elementals to a fight, determining how many gems the winner will take from the other. This of course happens more when there are fewer and fewer scattered gems to find. While killing your opponent is heavily discouraged, it’s not exactly against the rules and elementals won’t be forfeit if they do kill their opponents. David killed Dan (who was asking for it) and he wasn’t disqualified. Once all the scattered gems are collected, then it just comes down to challenging other elementals and winning fights to claim their gems.
Every gem hunt has a special group called the Four Heavenly Kings, which is a title given to four very powerful elementals in the competition. The four also work as a team to win gems until the Final Ten tournament. Elementals can challenge the four and if they win, they become the new Four Heavenly Kings and win a large number of gems. Though they must defeat all four of the current kings, just losing one battle will lose the entire challenge. Other competitors can form teams of their own if they wish, but the team must disband once they reach the Final Ten Tournament. Speaking of which, after there’s only ten elementals left in the competition, then the gem hunt committee holds a tournament for the remaining ten. The ten finalists will be paired up in five separate matches, fighting one on one in a large stadium before a large audience. Along with the audience are the Great Grand Master, the leaders of the top 10 clans, and the head of the gem hunt committee as the judges. After five elementals remain, then the final part of the tournament commences, a large 5 man battle royal. The last man standing in the stadium is declared the winner, and the new world guardian, unless the judges deem him unworthy (they watch the fight closely to see any dirty fighting or cheating) and declare a true winner among the other four.
One more small additional thing, there are a few elementals who use a substance called Gem Powder, which is E-Gems grounded up into sand like powder. Elementals would consume this powder to increase their power and elemental energy, but over use of this powder will cause internal injury and make them spit up blood. Known users of this powder is Steven Alloy, a dangerous criminal metal elemental, and his gang. Gem Powder is highly illegal and anyone, human or elemental, who has possession of it will be given a fine of ten thousand dollars or be given a sentence of eight years of jail time.
Ok, I think that’ll be it for this segment. Next time we’ll discuss the elementals’ history with humans. Till then!
====================================================
Arthur hits the ground with a loud thud, his armor cracked from being slashed, and smoke rising from his body after being shocked with two hundred million volts of electricity. After his halberds have vanished, David also falls to the ground after. Damon quickly ran to his side, helping him up and carrying him on his shoulder. “You alright bro?” Damon asked. “Yeah, I’ll be fine. Making that second halberd took nearly all the energy I had left. Good thing I was able to restore a fair amount while in the void…” David said, breathing quickly but steadily. “I’m sorry, I ran out of energy plums” Lilly said sadly. “Don’t worry, David’s pulled through worse” Rebecca told her with a smile. The people of Maplewood Village stand before David, with Josaphat standing at the front. “On behalf of the entire Maplewood Village, I would like to personally thank you, David Halberd, and everyone for helping us get out of the void. We are eternally grateful and owe you a lot” he said and bows to David, along with the others, with everyone else from the village doing the same.
“Huh?” Damon tilts his head. “Wait, what’s going on exactly?” Rebecca asked, looking at the people of the village and back at David constantly. “It’s a long story, so to make it short these people and their village were trapped in Arthur’s void for a whole month. So I helped them escape when I was in there” David told her. “Their entire village?” Allen asked and looked over where the large crater was. “So is this where the village used to be?” he asked. “Yes. It’s quite a lucky coincidence that you fought Arthur very close to where our village was taken away” Josaphat said. “How can we get the village back?” Lilly asked, looking down the crater. “Only Arthur can send things out of his void…” David said. “That reminds me, we better tie his hands up so he doesn’t send anyone back in there in case he wakes up” a village man said. “I’m on it” Lilly said and puts her hands on the ground, long bramble vines emerging from the ground. “Bramble Trap!” she said and the vines wrap around Arthur’s unconscious body, having him sit up straight.
“Still though, how can we get him to return our village?” the woman with her child asked. “Leeeaaaaave that one to me~” Rebecca sang with a smile. She walks up to Arthur, picks him up by the vines, and slaps across his face several times. “Hey wake up and bring back these poor humans’ village! Hey!” she shouts and continues to slap him. “Nghhh…” Arthur growls as he wakes up to her slapping. “Shut up you bitch! Do you think I’ll take orders from you!? I am the great Arthur! Only Master Dante commands me!” Arthur shouts. “…” Rebecca tightens her fist. “Other than that, only I have the say to open my void! And my say is that the village stays where it is!” he shouts.
WHAM!!!
The loud sound echoed through the air, scaring off several birds from the trees in the far distance. “…….v-void ……e-exi-it…” Arthur weakly said, tears running down his eyes from a very large, throbbing, burning red welt on the side of his forehead, as he slowly raised his arm and points to the creator, a large white ball forming above it. The large piece of land with Maplewood Village on top of it slowly falls into the crater. After the dirt from the impact settles, the large chunk of land sat in the crater, tilted to the side as it barely even fit. “Oh dear…” Mathilda said. “Hmm… well, we did add a few things to the chunk of ground from the void, so the additions made it a bit bigger than the hole” Josaphat said. “Hey you idiot, the village doesn’t fit! Fix it!” Rebecca shouts at Arthur, shaking him vigorously. Arthur fell limp in her clutches, his eyes faded white. “Damn, he lost consciousness already…” she said. “Maybe you hit him a little too hard…” Allen said. “Don’t worry, I can fix this” Darrel said, walking up to the tilted village. “Hey hold on Darrel, you barely got any energy left” Kyle told him. “It’s fine, it’ll be enough” Darrel said with a kind smile.
He puts his hands on the ground and shifts the earth around the village, making the crater a little deeper and wider so the village’s land can fit into it. “There, all better” Darrel said, sweating from exhaustion. “Our village is back!” “Our home is where it should be again!” the people cheer happily. “We cannot thank you enough times, elementals. There must be something we can do for all of you…” Josaphat said. Darrel then collapsed onto the ground. “Ughh… I can’t move… I’m all out of energy…” he said. “Darrel don’t strain yourself…” Rebecca said, walking over to him and lifting his head off the ground. “Sorry Rebecca…” he said sadly. “Oh Darrel… you’re just too selfless. Always thinking of other people before you worry about yourself…” Rebecca sighed with a smile and has his head rest on her chest. “Still, that was very kind of you” she said. Kyle watched, then crossed his arms and looked away, feeling jealous. “Father, I don’t know if I’ll survive this battle so I may be joining you in the heavenly clouds above. But do not worry father, do not worry about your boy. Your boy will die a happy man, a very happy man” Darrel thought as he rested his head on Rebecca’s large bust.
“Come on guys there’s no time for rest!” Damon exclaimed. “We may have defeated the sins but Dominic is still fighting Dante right now. He got to go help him and finish this fight once and for all!” he said as he slowly moved forward, his legs shaking as he still carried David, sweating heavily. Lilly sat down, wiping her forehead, Kyle leaned against a tree, Allen was sleeping while standing, and Rebecca sat as Darrel rested on her. David makes a dumfounded look as he hung motionlessly on Damon’s shoulders. “We shall not stop… haa… till Dante’s taken down… haa… oh god…” Damon said as he pants, falling to his knees. “We can’t fight Dante like this Damon… we wasted too much energy on fighting the sins. Some of us can’t even move anymore” David said. “N-nonsense! I won’t stop till I’m dead!” Damon exclaimed, crawling on the ground. “You will if you keep this up…” David sternly said.
“Ahh, I know how to help!” Mathilda suddenly spoke up. “Hmm?” all of them said, looking at her curiously. “Eep! Umm… w-well…” Mathilda blushed and hid behind Josaphat shyly. “Umm… a tree… err, the tree… in… umm…” she bashfully tried to say. “Oh that’s right the tree!” Josaphat said. “The tree? What tree?” Damon asked. “We know a way to help you in your predicament, something that can restore your elemental energy” Josaphat said. “Really?!” Damon said, shooting back up in excitement and causing David to slip off, lading with a thud. “Yes, it’s not far from the village. Follow me and I’ll show you what I mean” he told Damon. “Awesome! Come on! Hurry and show me old man! I’m itching to kick Dante’s ass!” Damon exclaimed happily, hopping up and down. “Mind your manners brother…” David said, annoyed as he laid on the ground with his arms sprawled out. “Ahh… h-here let me help you…” Mathilda said as she walks up to David, blushing as she helps him up. “Thank you” he said softly, making her face turn red. “Don’t worry, all of us are anxious to see Dante get his just desserts” Josaphat said.
------------------------------------------------------------
They all followed Josaphat out of the village, Rebecca continuing to carry Darrel and Mathilda carrying David. “I’m surprised you can carry me so easily. You’re a lot stronger than you look” David commented Mathilda. “Ah! Th-thank you… I try to keep fit with exercises…” she said, blushing shyly. “Nmf… he’s charmed another girl…” Rebecca grumbled to herself. “So what’s this tree you wanna show us gramps? How will it help up defeat Dante? Are we gonna chuck it at him?” Damon asked. “It’s right about… here! This is what I wanted to show you all” Josaphat said, arriving at a giant sized tree that reached about one hundred feet tall. “Whoa! That is one big ass tree!” Damon exclaimed in utter shock, looking up at the giant tree. “It’s massive… I’m surprised I didn’t notice it when we got here” Lilly said, putting her hand to her mouth. “Well, we were busy trying to find each other and fighting the sins to notice…” Allen mentioned. “I can barely see the top of it…” Kyle said. “Hmm?” Rebecca looked up at the tree and saw apple like fruit growing from the branches, though they were white as snow.
“We were amazed too when we saw this marvelous tree. We never seen anything like it. Especially the fruit that’s growing from its branches. Foolishly, we tried eating the fruit but it just ended up making us sick. We thought they were poisonous. Then we did some research on it by getting some books and as it turns out, this tree is referred to as the ‘Tree of Vitality’” Josaphat explained. “Since this is elemental land, there’s many gems filled with energy underground. So sometimes a tree’s roots could reach deep underground where the gems lay. So energy from those gems would transfer into the tree and make it grow to a great size. Also we read about the fruit it bears and it turns out that the fruit aren’t poisonous, it’s full of the energy it got from the underground gems. We got sick because our human bodies couldn’t take the elemental energy inside the fruit. It was meant to be eaten by elementals. These trees are for growing fruit so elementals can restore their energy. Thus it’s why it’s the Tree of Vitality. It restores an elemental’s vitality after a big battle”
“So if we eat those fruits, then we’ll have our energy restored and be able to fight Dante” David said. “Now to get some of them off the branches. Mathilda, could you be a dear?” Josaphat asked. “Ah, yes grandpa. Here” Mathilda said and hands David over to Damon. They watched Mathilda easily climb up the large tree and grab several apples, and climb back down. “Wow, you sure she’s not an elemental?” Darrel asked Josaphat. “Heh heh, she also knows judo” Josaphat proudly said. “Here you go everyone” Mathilda said with a smile, handing them a white apple. “So we just have to eat them?” Damon asked. “You sure it’s ok to? I mean, if this tree was grown with the energy from those gems then how much power do they hold? Even the smallest elemental gem contains a vast amount of energy, and we don’t know what size gems are under this land. So what if the energy in these fruits is too much?” Rebecca asked, looking down at the white apple in her hand. “Hmm?” Damon asked, already bitten into the apple. “I said wait damn it!!” Rebecca shouts in frustration.
Suddenly Damon’s eyes widen as he tilts his head up, puffs his cheeks up, and has trouble swallowing, sweating heavily as if he swallowed poison. “Are you alright Damon!?” Kyle asked. “See! I told you!” Rebecca exclaimed. “………it’s bitter” Damon stuck his tongue out. “THAT’S ALL!?” Rebecca shouts, falling over, completely dumbfounded. “…!!” Suddenly Damon’s body was surrounded in a big burst of wind, nearly knocking everyone off their feet. “Whoa… I feel… awesome!” Damon shouts with a big grin. “What a rush! I feel like I can fly around the world! And this is just from one bite!” Damon then shoved the entire fruit in his mouth. “Take it easy you idiot! You’ll choke before you get to do anything with that energy!” Rebecca exclaims. A large amount of wind gathers around Damon’s fist and he grins. “This is perfect… now I have the energy to kick Dante’s ass a million times over!!!” he shouts, a large column of wind erupting around him.
“Hmm? What’s that?” a man from the village asked, seeing the column from a distance. “Whoa, so that’s what happens when an elemental eats one of those fruits…” he said. Then large columns of water, fire, lightning, and sand erupts in the air, and large chunks of earth rise from the ground and many flowers blooms all over as the elementals unleash their power. “Well I’ll be…” Josaphat said in amazement. Mathilda watched, putting her hands to her mouth in awe. “Alright everyone…” Damon said and looks over at Dante’s tower far in the distance. “Let’s go and give Dante hell!!” he shouts, raising his fist in the air. “Right!!” they all shout, doing the same as they’re surrounded by their respective elements.
Volume 4: World Guardian and Master Ranks
Some of you might be thinking just what exactly is this “Guardian of the World”? I mean Damon keeps going on about it, his dream becoming just that. Well, it’s the rank given to an elemental who is given the task to protect the world. Of course they don’t give this title to just any elemental, this is given to one who’s proven themselves to be among the strongest elementals in the world, and for good reason. They’re basically seen as a superhero to many, stopping anyone who threats the world or the government, and take down powerful elemental criminals. The job of a world guardian is tough, so only some of the strongest can be a guardian. That’s why we have the Gem Hunt game every fifty years. Using the gem hunt, which will be fully explained in another volume, we can determine those who are worthy of being the next world guardian for the next fifty years. Unfortunately sometimes the Gem Hunt competition may happen earlier than usual, like if the world guardian dies before their fifty years are up, like in this case…
The World Guardian actually gets to stay in their home, and doesn’t have to move to some special location. They just get called by the world government for missions and tasks. The Guardian of the World does have an assistant and advisor to help them along the way. The assistant is the Great Grand Master, who’s the top ranked Elemental Master. Elemental Masters are elementals who are given a permit that allows them to teach other elementals in battle, education, and other courses. They are spilt into three ranks, masters who are various teachers in different classes in elemental academies (similar to teachers in human schools), Grand Masters, who are the heads of elemental academy in each major city (like yours truly, is the head of Sacar City’s academy for elementals), and lastly Great Grand Masters (that’s a mouthful huh?) is a title granted to one elemental who’s a benefactor to all the academies across the world, at least those who are approved and registered by the government. As there’s no current world guardian at the moment, the Great Grand Master acts as a stand in till a new elemental is appointed the position.
Back when the government was mostly for humans, the World Guardian was looked upon as their leader, like their pope so to say. While this is still true to an extent today, some elementals resent the fact now the government and the elementals have grouped together to form a new government, and see the World Guardian as the government’s dog. In fact it was the World Guardian’s idea to make the peace treaty for humans and elementals, and have the government include elementals and work with them to unsure safety and harmony throughout the world. I mean, World Guardian and World Government I mean come on, huh? …anyways, elemental extremists of course declared betrayal on the World Guardian’s part, and it’s believed that it was extremists who killed the previous World Guardian.
I might as well talk a little more about the elemental academies, as I run the one in Sacar City. They’re basically schools for elementals, and they aren’t that much different from human schools. Young elementals are taught the essentials of learning, things like math, science, history, fitness, and other courses. Just that in elemental academies, young elementals are also taught how to fight and use their elemental powers and how to control their energy, preparing them for battle. We are of a warrior race after all, and thus proper education of battle is essential to an elemental. There are different Masters who are expert in different courses, master in math as an example, but a Grand Master does personally teach the elemental students in various aspects of combat. So I’m telling the truth when I say I personally taught Damon and his friends, it’s just that I also taught hundreds of others. The life of a Grand Master isn’t easy, but it is awarding!
Lastly, the age group that the academies enroll are eight to eighteen, so for ten years they attend the school. Each year is a semester, and the students do get summer vacation and at the end of each year they take an exam. If they pass, they advance to the next grade, if not, they repeat the grade they’re in. Like I said, they’re not much different from human schools. Of course those attending the academy can pause their education for the gem hunt competition (as long as they’re thirteen or older), but regardless if they win or not, they have to finish school. So yes, you can even find the new World Guardian attending school. Children still need their education, even if they are the leader of elementals.
Oh and one small additional detail. Among the Grand Masters there are the top seven, who are the Grand Master of the seven top elemental cities in the world (the cities that the bigwigs of the Meta-Human Army attacked). As Sacar City’s Grand Master I’m one of them, and we’re regarded as the strongest Grand Masters. Hey I don’t mean to boast about myself I’m just giving out the info ya know? Hee hee!
Well I think that’s it on this discussion. A bit shorter than the other volumes but their size will vary depending on the topic. Next time we’ll discuss the elemental gems as well as the Gem Hunt games. Till then!
