It was a long day for you. First, you started out your day with the heart-breaking news of your parents getting divorced and you don’t know what that means for you because you are the only child. You’ve cried off and, on all day, even at the Wreck- which brightened your day a little more. Thank you, Kiara. However, since given the news this morning, you couldn’t wait to get back home and go to bed.
After a rough morning and long day at work- dealing with a bunch of tourons, you finally made it home. As soon as you parked in your driveway and putting your car in park, you let go of the steering wheel and just let the back of your head hit the headrest. Taking a quiet moment for yourself and just to breathe.
Taking a few minutes for yourself, you gather your things and head inside.
“Oh Y/N! You’re just in time for dinner!” Your mother greets you.
“Oh, that’s okay. I already ate at the Wreck with Kie after our shift. Thank you though!” You say as you start to make your way upstairs and to your room.
“You sure?” Your mom asks.
“Yeah, mom, I’m sure! It’s been a long day and I just want to rest.”
And cry but you didn’t dare tell her that.
In your room, you quickly change into sweatpants and a long sleeve t-shirt- probably one of the boys’. You wash your face and brush your teeth, quickly falling into your bed right after.
As the night goes on you can’t help but hear your parents argue. You tried just about everything to drown out their yelling and issues, but nothing seemed to help. Too, it’s like you didn’t know how to stop crying. The more you heard them fight, the more you cried because them fighting made the news of the divorce even more real.
You could only take so much more until you couldn’t. Tired of it, tired of this long ass day, you grab your phone and bag, then finding yourself crawling out of your bedroom window and just walking. You had no idea where to go, at first, you just let your feet take you away. Away to the only other place that brings you peace.
Minutes later, you wipe your tear- stained face and walk up to the porch, going straight to the bedroom window of the only person who could somewhat understand this situation. You lightly knock, trying to hold in the remaining tears. In no time, the beautiful, blonde-haired boy opened his blinds, realizing that it’s you and practically before you can blink, he’s outside on the porch with you.
“I can’t sleep, can I stay here?” You ask.
JJ does nothing put just holds you, occasionally pulling you away to wipe slipping tears.
“Yeah Y/N/N, you know I don’t mind.” JJ reassures you.
You hug JJ tightly, before letting him go, you gently reach up and kiss his cheek and make your way inside the chateau. You go straight to JJ’s room and collapse in his bed, quickly falling asleep.
Bliss. The most peace and quiet you’ve gotten all day. If it weren’t for your friends, you don’t know how today would’ve gone.
