I love you Joan Of Arc
@crymeariveronceagain I can only cry in silence and hope that conveys the extent of my appreciation.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
This is so amazing? What the heck? This work just changed my brain chemistry.
It’s honestly amazing, and one of the best things about it is that it is so human.
The relationship with God, the ‘filial boldness’ as you called it in the comments (yes I have read all of the comments also), the “God speaking in the silence”, “listen for the silence”. I have no words. That’s literally my relationship with God, and you just gave me words for it! I’m amazed!
Also, i’m totally gonna use all this newfound knowledge to aid me in answering one of my asks, so tysm hihi🤭
Edit: by the way I shed tears. I Bawled. Multiple times. I really did cry you a river lol
Plus it’s only got 1376 hits?!?!? HOW?!?!
Give me a sign

BIBLE, LBGT+, SIN, THE TEMPLE, PAUL, GOD'S WIFE.
The Church may teach that same-sex acts are sinful, however Jesus never did.
Futher: when reading the Bible and taking into account context of Paul's letters and rudimentary knowledge of Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, it's not hard to realize that in the bible at no point does God say being gay or any letter of the LBGT+ is sinful.
Paul only wrote letters to individual churches to help them in specific situations they independently wrote him about. At no point is their any indication that Paul intended his letters to become a guide for everyone. Nor did Paul actually say being gay was sinful. He does call out pedophiles though and using sex as a form of worship like the Roman's did. He blasted the Roman's a lot. They did after all keep putting him in jail. (Specifically the letter 1st Corinthians was written to an early church in the trade community of Cornith.)
If you look at non-English texts, the source of this error is simple: Malakoi and arsenkoitai.
Malakoi meaning: "effeminate".
Malakori is greek.
It means literally to be "soft", usually used to define fine clothing in other New Testament verses.
In (moral) context with the rest of the passage Malakori means to have "a lack of self control" "weakness, laziness, or cowardice".
The bible itself (in hebrew) also plays it very fast and loose with gender. Adam is called They, She, Eve is called He, They, etc.
God specifically recognizes a spectrum of gender, not a binary again and again. From the very beginning of Genisis God refers to themselves as "we" and "us" and if we are all infact made in God's image, then God must not be a binary.
(Also fun fact, at one point there was parts of the Hebrew faith that actually recognized God and God's Wife, aka, Asherah. The Book of Kings suggests was worshipped alongside Yahweh in his temple in Israel, along with writings on ancient relics that mention Asherah. At least until 586 B.C. when the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed -- the same Temple that sat where the Dome of the Rock currently resides and that in Christianity (Revelations) has to be rebuilt inorder for the Antichrist to be possessed by Satan and then sit upon the temple 3.5 years into the Tribulation and declare himself god).
Even after two world wars and now a fire the rose window prevails, such a relief to see that even in this tragedy there is still hope!
