A Little Talk With God
Last night, Florizel had a game night so I was at home by myself. My mind has been a bit of a whirlwind and my hope is rising.
My period, as of today, is 3 days late. I’m day 34 of my normal cycle.
You can see why my hopes are high.
Last month, I was despondent because I had what I thought were symptoms of pregnancy, but was sorely disappointed because I had my period anyway. This time...it feels like a normal period, but...
I told Florizel I would wait until the end of the week before taking a test. 3 days could mean something. But 8 or 9 days says much more. I can wait a few more days to be sure instead of wasting money on a test I might not need.
Anyway, I was sitting in the living room reflecting on this possible life change when I thought of something.
First, my recent dream about the meteor. We’re so close...so very close, within days it seems. We should be getting some sort of answer soon.
Then I recalled a premonition I had where I asked God for an answer. How long until we know? When we will know?
“January,” I heard. “Maybe March.” But definitely leaning towards January. March was an afterthought...which makes me wonder if I’m going to carry the child to term...yet “January”...March could also refer to the show I’m doing as well. I’ll know which performance track I’m doing. The “March” was an afterthought, like something maybe my mind thought of. Yet the “January” was clear as day.
I just checked. Not a drop of blood to be seen.
I’m...very hopeful. I’ll wait a few more days, as promised. It could start any time. If it doesn’t start by Saturday, I’ll get a test. After all, I don’t want to keep sipping the communion wine if I’m preggers ;)
Please pray for us that maybe this is it and that our baby will come to term healthy and happy. It matters not if it’s a boy or girl, one or more. Let them be happy and let this pregnancy not be an unholy nightmare. Let it be without major incident...let it be as God wills it to be, but I hope he hears our fervent prayers of health for our child.
We’re ready. We are so ready.
