I admit I wasn’t paying as much attention to games as usually. It was a relatively calm month with a single large surprise. I finally managed to play the whole Kentucky Route Zero and while I still enjoyed it a lot, I discovered that some parts are just more enjoyable than others and that the final act is little lackluster in its tone (Me being really sleepy while playing it might have something to do with it). Shout to Moonquest, a beautifully  pixelated game packing a lot of things together like crafting and spelunking, finally got released. I don’t have idea if it’s any good, but check it out.

1. Wide Ocean Big Jacket

This is a lovely little thing. Perhaps read this review for a more elaborate take, but I enjoyed it the same way I enjoyed other things from Turnfollow. It might be little overpriced for 8 dollars, but if you paid for a cinema ticket of lately, this probably is a bargain and worthier your time. It reminds me of Kelly Reichardt’s Old Joy a lot. It’s a subtle piece about people and them adjusting to each other. All four characters are well-written with their motivations and quirks. It feels so normal, but without all of the frustration normality offers. Buy it here or download of the best games of all times Little Party first and buy it after you fall in love with the subtle sensation of being a mom.

2. Chatventures

Yes, It’s another Sokpop game. I think it’s because this was a relatively dry month and because I really like different text heavy weird things now. This is a text based MMORPG. An ancient thing one would say, but I bet that the bois spiced it up with some of their best goofy jokes. One aside regarding Sopkop games. I like featuring them, but they often aren’t fully featured games. I think calling them sketches for possible larger projects is often adequate. Still, they’re better and more off the wall than most stuff getting made.

3. Haunted PS1 Demodisk

This is a collection of small weird and horror games utilizing low poly graphics reminiscent of PS1 graphics. Most of the stuff looks great and I think there might be some great lil games included. Also, it’s for free and it has a dope trailer, so check it out, if nothing else. I’m not quite sure I’m sold on most of the games but the offering is beyond generous.
