#cheap paint

I haven’t learned how to capture love, or express emotion. I only have cheap paint to show you what I’m capable of.. I sit here and stare at my blank canvas and wonder where to even start, if the cheap paint I have is good enough? Will there be enough? I have only what I’ve shown myself to offer you, and it’s not much.. if I mess up will you give me a chance to fix it? Will you be gentle with your critique?

It’s a duck made from a can of frosting! 🦆🧁 The holiday season really ran straight to me this year and… I don’t know? I used to really really love Christmas and thanksgiving and I still do but they can be a bit stressful, can’t they? And for no reason! Just expectations in my head haha like “oh no I can’t buy everyone I love a luxury car and their dream houses this year! Maybe one day!” Hahaha geeze (but maybe haha)

Tried to Art with the cheap paint from Dollar Tree since I’m out of town… 😅 It’s not horrible, but I wish I could’ve used my good paint and brushes. oh welllll……

Here’s some little pieces I did a few days ago. Sorry the photo is crap, I’m not really able to get out of bed right now :/ I hope you enjoy! I’m going to be spending a lot of time practicing today because I am making a “children’s book” for my Social Studies class. I am doing all of it hand drawn with a semi-OC that. Haven’t developed. I may work on her more and show you guys what I’ve got :) <3

Painting I had to do with tempera for my 8th grade art class last year. We had to make at least 10 flowers and 3 pots. I think it’s pretty good for my first big canvas painting.
