Resourceful/Recycled Arts and Crafts

I have been feverishly working on fall crafts for our local fair. I hate spending so much money and storage space on art supplies and, instead, prefer to get by with the things I have or to seek out inexpensive materials around the house. I used the husks and kernels from my popcorn to make a cornhusk wreath. Husks look especially autumnal and work well when folded, hot-glued, and painted. I will probably end up with many corn wreaths in the future! I was also bound and determined to make a craft item using recycled materials because I am such an advocate for recycling! I painted a tin can pyramid of my usual Halloween characters. I have been painting last minute Halloween decorations for years with silly and fun versions of the famous spooks. Anyways, I hope someone can be inspired to look around and craft using the things you grow or are about to throw out!
