Someone legitimately told me, in all serious, that Colloidal Silver has cured everything from Parvo to Coccidiosis. They also said that silver is not a heavy metal. The admin then came in and said that arguing with this person is against the rules. I straight up left the group, I could hardly believe that anyone would legitimately allow hack medicine such as "Just give 'em a TON O' SILVER!". This is straight up animal abuse and encourages a lot of pain and death. Amazing. I am amazed.

Oh sweet plaguemum. Is there a way you can report that idiot person to the authorities for animal abuse because holy fucking fuck that’s not ok at all. Collodial silver has enough woo attached to it when it comes to humans, there’s absolutely no need to woo it up with animals, too, who can’t even fucking argue with you that no really this is a shit treatment please get me the antibiotics.

Just…. I wish some people weren’t allowed to have pets. At all.

Hi Biology! The argument of "Can domestic rabbits breed with US cottontails" has started again on one of my rabbit boards. Is it at all possible? The argument is based on chromosomes and species with people saying yes and others saying no. I've looked high and low for studies and can't find any. Horses, donkeys, and zebras all produce sterile offspring. Pekin Ducks and Muscovies can also produce sterile offspring (with some difficulty).

There’s a study referenced here however the paper cited doesn’t seem to be available online which is a huge shame because it seems to be the one we’re looking for. It’s also referenced here (under Oryctolagus cuniculus)

apparently fertilization was possible albeit unlikely and of those eggs which were fertilized none seemed to have gone past the blastocyst stage, at least that’s what I’m getting from the page I can look at (if someone has the full study at their disposal please message me) so it seems that while fertilization occurs, no offspring is actually produced.

GODFRICKING I'm in a lot of farming boards on Facebook. There's a discussion about antibiotic use in pigs (this is a pastured pork board) and this SPECIALIST is going on and on about 'toxins'. They legitimately posted this: "So if 1% of the shot stays in the pigs body after one shot and the withdraw time,"it's not a big deal, our human bodies will not notice it" But, if you give 10 shots you're up to 10% of all those shots leaving toxins in the body." I'm going to scream. This isn't how it works

THEY ARE STILL GOING ON ABOUT THIS “i don’t have to tell you that when you consume store bought pork you too are getting all these toxins that weren’t eliminated from the pig. None of us need more toxins in our systems. In fact we should all be doing what we can to eliminate and cut down on toxin exposure. One vital way to do this is by choosing what you eat carefully.” THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOXINS. YOU HAVE A LIVER. YOU HAVE KIDNEYS. WHY GOD.

I mean, we can talk about the problems of overuse of antibiotics in farming, but the problem there is not any mysterious ~toxins~ it’s the spread of antibiotic resistancies.

hello friend it is nearly 2AM but the question as I understand it is: Calculate how many liters of air is in the specified aircraft carrier size, then how many grams of vanilla at the threshold (smallest amount) it would take to make you crave ice cream like a crack habit in that hanger (based on the amount of air), then finally calculate how much it would cost to do this based on it costing $116 per 50g I hope this helps it is v. late

we actuallY HAVE A SMALL STEP STOOL !!! i don’t want him to carry it around for me. he can just. reach stuff for me. unfortunately he’s a waiter so he’s not in the kitchen all the time. but the guy is FREAKISHLY tall. he’s over 2m.
