Outlander star Sam Heughan showing his support for the #CheckYerBawballs campaign last year. The Scottish stars took to social media to raise support for the campaign which is run by the Clydebank-based testicular cancer charity, Cahonas, throughout December. The campaign urges people to share pictures of their Christmas baubles and encourages men to check for signs of the testicular disease which over 2,400 men are diagnosed with every year. On Instagram, James McAvoy posted a picture of himself working out with a cherry emoji at his groin. In his post he wrote: “Scotland and indeed the world it’s that time of year when we implore each other to look at and feel our own balls...BAWS in Scotland to those that don’t know in an attempt to Help stave off cancer. #checkyerbawballs I nominate @mrmartincompston and @mrryanfletcher #checkyerbawballs.” Meanwhile, the Outlander star took to Twitter and retweeted the charity’s launch post which states: “Jingle balls, Jingle balls, Jingle all the way, Oh, what fun it is to check, So check your balls today.” Ritchie Marshall, founder of Clydebank-based Cahonas, said: “We’re lucky to have supporters with such a high profile who help capture the imagination of the public, but the best way to help is for the general public to show off their baubles and help somebody they know.” For more information on the #CheckYerBawballs  ©JPIMedia Publishing Ltd.
