River froze when she saw the Doctor, a year ago he had simply left her alone in a time period that she was not comfortable with. Now he was just across the street from her, with a child in his arms. She was about to attempt to leave when she saw him spot her.
The Doctor was out picking some fruits, grabbing some essentials, some treats for the kid. After all, last night was the first night in a while he'd slept through the night. The Doctor always thought he deserved a treat here and there, but that was his attitude towards all children. He'd just turned to leave the market, handing the bag up to the boy on his shoulders, coming to an immediate halt when he spotted her. "Hair!" The boy recognized her, too, pointing over. "Come on," he swatted the boy's finger down, jogging over the street in his own attempt to catch her.
