It's coming up to a year since Mark left us so I'm thinking of him even more than I was. Being in (a) band(s) with him on/off/on between c2004-2012 helped me to become a drummer, a better musician, a better listener. Friends do stuff together; we made music together. I'm thankful for the opportunity to share and create music with him. Probably the times I enjoyed the most were when the 2 of us were jamming / improvising in the rehearsal room before the 3rd member (bassist) arrived - we were having a musical conversation - without needing to Say anything, we often knew where the othe was going musically.

And the times we listened to music by the musicians such as the White Stripes - who shall forever remind me of Mark - in the car on the way between our respective homes, rehearsal studios and venues. It was nice to have a brief conversation with one of his children recently on Facebook. I hope he and his siblings, and his mum are doing ok. I'd love to be able to sell / provide the beer that Mark's brother brews at future Cheeky events.
