This! Is! The! Cutest! Card!
Cheepcheepcheep ———————————————— FLIP: You can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher Tuner monster from your Deck. ———————————————— Can Be Found In: Judgment of the Light (JOTL-EN037), 2014 Mega-Tin Mega Pack (MP14-EN090)
Tuner monsters might be the most dependant on other creatures due their main goal of working on Synchro Summons. As the most important part arround Synchro Monsters, Tuner monsters will only be brought to the field when other materials have gathered together ready for a bigger summon. There are some exceptions where a Tuner monster is able to confront the opponent on its own and/or fighting along other monsters, but in most cases will solely be brought along other monsters by either consecutive summons or abilities able to bring atleast a couple of materials for the right Synchro Summon.
"Cheepcheepcheep" is a tiny monster with no big qualities on its own, but can create a solid setup if managed properly. As a Flip monster, when "Cheepcheepcheep" is flipped in return we will be able to summon form our Deck a Level 5 or above Tuner monster. While a summon of this kind is nothing new compared to many others, "Cheepcheepcheep" is an interesting exception as allow us to bring big monsters to not only confront the opponent but also work on expensive Synchro Summons. With a bit of luck "Cheepcheepcheep" can be used as material together with the Tuner that summons, but even if is defeated in the process the summoned monster can either fight on its own or be ready to work with other materials arround quite expensive summons.
As a Flip monster, "Cheepcheepcheep" is in a complicated situation when comes to support, as either takes a slow approach or takes an immediate arrival in exchange of losing its Flip effect. If we wanna keep its effect, cards like "Spirit of the Fall Wind" and "Lyrilusc - Cobalt Sparrow" will add it to our hand to be Set afterwards. But otherwise don't hold back on Special Summoning "Cheepcheepcheep" even though will lose its effect, as thanks to many cards such as "One for One" and "Rescue Ferret" among others will be easily brought from inside our Deck ready to work as material for all kinds of summons. The same goes in later turns when most likely will rest in our Graveyard, as with cards such as "Kinka-Byo" and "Junk Synchron" will bring it back to the field turn after turn to work as materials together or event he Tuner that "Cheepcheepcheep" summons if was defeated in the process.
Due its ability to summon high Level Tuners, "Cheepcheepcheep" might require a Deck either arround its ability or the monsters that can summon. Monsters like "Genomix Fighter", "Destrudo, the Dead Drake of Dread", and "Cockadoodledoo" will solely work as materials by working with "Cheepcheepcheep" and/or other monsters we can summon at the moment. Other Tuners however might further benefit of the push their respective themes provide, ranging from "Labradorite Dragon" and the many options arround Normal Monsters, to Tuners like "The Agent of Entropy - Uranus" and "Svartalf of the Nordic Alfar" working along their respective archetypes. But while these Tuners might have the assitance of "Cheepcheepcheep" and other materials for our Synchro Summons, its best candidate might be "Bird of Paradise Lost" as doesn't depend on our Extra Deck thanks to its ability to steal opponent monsters and increase its stats to become a threat on its own.
"Cheepcheepcheep" has a good premise to bring some of the heaviest Tuner monsters in the game, but falls short when compared to many other options. As a Flip monster "Cheepcheepcheep" is by default too slow compared to faster setups arround the same Tuners or others, although compensates with solid support from early to late game arround its effect or working as material on its own. While has some solid Tuners to summon by its ability, "Cheepcheepcheep" will often be found as the core card to summon "Bird of Paradise Lost" in a Deck arround its abilities. "Cheepcheepcheep" is far from becoming a game changer due its frail stats and slow summoning effect, but on the bright side compensates with solid support from early to late game as well powerful monsters to use either arround Synchro Summons or on their own.
Personal Rating: B
+ Summons a Level 5 or higher Tuner monster from our Deck when flipped + Well supported from early to late game even though we might lose its effect + Strong Tuners to easily summon including "Bird of Paradise Lost"
- Very weak stats to survive - Slow effect compared to many alternatives - Might require a Deck arround its effect and/or the Tuners that can summon
