It’s no secret thatPapillons are my favourite breed of dog, and I’m about to tell you some of thereasons why.First of all, they are one of the oldest known breeds of domesticated dogs,with their roots being traced back through paintings to at least the 1500′s.They were once owned almost exclusively by members of various royal familiesand the aristocracy. You can walk into just about any gallery of royalportraits throughout Europe, and I guarantee that you’ll find Papillons in atleast one of those paintings.
They are officially listed as the 8th smartest breed of dog, and thesmartest toy breed. They are one of the healthiest breeds of dog, often living until the ages of16-17.But now, for the important stuff, as demonstrated by my own papillons (and mybaby niece): GIANT EARS:
