Cheii dibé (grandfathers sheep “Bob”)
Ok les go #sani #Cheii #grandparents #downtownflagstaff #flagstaff #az (at Flagstaff, Arizona)
Wow fabtastic babe
My dad and nephew have stuffed animals tucked into the back of their shirts and chasing each other to throw the "ammo" at each other. Is that a glimpse into how my dad played with us when we were kids?
African dads do the absolute most!!!!
Ok so today I got a phone call from my dad (he still lives in Kenya) and let me tell you today I received a full on lecture African parent style. This was all because of some ”Radio lebanon” page I liked on Facebook in 2009 which only post memes some of you may know it.Ok so this is how the conversation went down
Dad: (Mad loud and accent madd thick) Hallo?!! Gloria! I hope you can hear me because I dont like the nonsense I see on Facebook
Me: (in my head) Wtf is wrong with this man now -_-
Dad: Ehhh! Why do you want to get involved with vitu za waarabu (Arabic things) Do you know thats how they convert you into Al shabaab, ISIS and all their terrorist behaviours. Thats how it starts!! Why do you want to disappoint me! After all the money I spent to take you to Australia you want to become involved in terrorist behaviors!!!! ( Yell yell yell yell, vent vent about how poor we were in Congo and Kenya, continue yelling,)
In the end he was like, You better be studying your books and delete that facebook, I dont want to see you on facebook anymore!!! *Angrily Hangs up*
Me:
NA WA OOOOOOOO!!!
Shicheii
Shicheii is my mother’s father, or my grandfather (aka maternal grandfather).
In the Navajo way, shicheii is also my grandson by my daughter (a kind of nickname or recognition). In the clanship way, shicheii’s first clan is my “dashicheii” clan, which often is the third to be listed after my father’s clan (“báshíshchíín”).
The horned toad (or ‘horny toad’*) is also referred to as “shicheii”, and as young Navajo we are told not to kill or harm our grandfathers. In the same vein, we are told not to be afraid of them, either.
There are a few characteristics drawn from the horned toad that can dictate the interaction between a Navajo elder and his grandson. The tough and fierce exterior of the horned toad is intimidating and sometimes scary. But underneath he has a soft belly.
*As children this English pronunciation is easier and is semantically identical to ‘horned toad’ in this case.
In-game? Yep. That's me.
I've decided to just retain some of the characters from the account I've purchased .. I won't be using my cheii account until I get name change tags. I am soooooo tempted to just delete my other characters and transfer the names to the new account, though but since my main account is sooooooo full with the CnR equips and crap from before, I might have to make a stash account just to keep those equipments or something. :3 Too lazy to vend. Lol. So as of now, if you know me in RL, you already know this info. But if not, then here's the deal. I am using the character named *sexyLene* in-game. But sometimes J plays with it as well. So if you see me, greet me, and yet I am quite a snob, then that's already a heads up. It's not me. It's J. Lol. As what most of you know, I don't use kore. And I don't think I need to use kore now since they said, GMs will ban accounts using kore. Ugh. I'd rather have J play than get banned. Lol. Dibale nang masabihang chixi, atleast I don't have to wait until 2062 to have my account back. Lol. I don't think RO will still be around by then.
Paramore.
There's too many Paramore things on my dash and i can't help but reblog them all. Hahahaha. AND I AM NOT EVEN SORRY :))
