One of my favorite moments in ATWoW was when Kiri needed medical attention after seizing underwater and how it was the metakayina’s spiritual approach to medicine that revived her, and not the human’s deeply scientific but spiritually empty tools.
Recom!Quaritch’s body might haven taken 20 years to grow, but I see that wrinkly forehead and those gaunt cheeks and hear that haggard voice.

I cannot understate how excited I am for nanowrimo.
I have such a specific need for a fic where a scion!human and Recom!Quaritch to have a long, steamy, and complicated slowburn while exploring Eywa/Pandora, the Na’vi, and the philosophical turmoils that come with identity, war, colonization, and teratophilia/interspecies romance that I really do think I have to write it myself.
I need more na’vi x human stuff… I am an explorer, it’s for science.
If Jim doesn’t give us a female human x male na’vi romantic ship in the third film, I’m gonna flip a table.
A little tidbit that I think is very funny about Avatar is that Jake’s name is of Hebrew origin and it literally means “Supplanter, someone who seizes, circumvents, and usurps.”
His name choice is not unintentional and he is a disaster magnet for a reason, both for the Na’vi and the Humans. Really excited to see how this rolls out in the next films - especially because the shaking/changing of status quos is not without loss. 💔
When I see the whole “Avatar has no staying power” - the number one thing this tells me is that they are boring and wouldn’t fuck an alien.
