Forward Arrow: reaction arrow, this is often used to show reactants forming into products.
Equilibrium Arrow: arrow that shows a reaction to be reversible; one arrow can be exaggerated in the more favored direction of EQ.
Resonance Arrow: shows that there is a different arrangement of electrons.
Curved arrows: show movement of electrons, either one or two. Used largely in mechanisms.
Broken arrows: used to show a reaction does not work.
Open Arrow (Retrosynthesis): shows the decomposition of a complex into simple starting material. Predominately used as a planning device for synthesis.
