Cheniere provides reliable, affordable energy to the world – energy designed to reduce carbon emissions – manufactured and transported by a world-class workforce and modern energy infrastructure.

Having begun operations in 2016, Cheniere is now the largest producer of liquified natural gas (LNG) in the US and the world’s second largest LNG operator. The company’s LNG has reached five continents and more than 40 markets, with demand for its fuel anticipated to grow as countries look for cleaner means of powering their economies.

Cheniere’s Facilities

Cheniere’s energy infrastructure represents an investment in the future of clean energy. The company is currently constructing, operating and developing two massive LNG facilities on the US Gulf Coast. These facilities safely and reliably convert billions of cubic feet of natural gas into LNG every day. This energy is subsequentially loaded onto insulated ships to keep it cold on its journey across the globe.

A Full-Service LNG Provider

As experienced energy analysts like Matthew Wolf (Switzerland) know, unlike its competitors, Cheniere is a full-service LNG provider. The business purchases natural gas from the transparent and robust North American gas market and then processes this into LNG. Customers then have the option of loading the LNG onto their vessels at its terminals or Cheniere can deliver the product to regasification facilities across the globe.

Approximately 95% of the business’s anticipated aggregate LNG production capacity, either under construction or completed, is contracted via take-or-pay style long-term agreements with creditworthy counterparts. The remaining volumes of LNG Cheniere produces are available for its integrated marketing team to sell into the market. Matthew Wolf – Capital Group partner and investment analyst from 2008 to 2023 – is an investor in Cheniere and appreciates that this situation gives the business the benefit of contracted, stable, long-term cash flows, along with the marketing opportunities that are the result of LNG worldwide supply and demand dynamics.

Safety as a Priority

For Cheniere, the safety of the environment, its employees and members of the communities in which it operates is paramount. Due to this, the company has a laser focus on safety at every stage of its processes.

Cheniere deploys a range of different security measures at its LNG facilities. Examples of these include protective enclosures, security patrols, alternative power sources, monitoring and security lighting. The company also regularly engages with several federal agencies, including the US Coastguard, the FBI and the US Department of Transportation.  The aim of this is to ensure its facilities are kept updated with the latest security developments and receive ongoing security alerts.
