Chichi has to stay overnight at the er for two nights. She's healthy and happy back home, but the bill was an unexpected expense. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
This little storm cloud is Chichi. She was abandoned on my parents’ doorstep in 2010. Later that year, my father fell into his first diabetic coma. That was how we learned he had developed diabetes. For the next five years, my parents’ did their best to give Chichi a loving life, but my father’s diabetes has increasingly gotten worse, as well as their advanced age. They tried to find a new home for her, but despite their best efforts every forever home fell through. In 2015, my roommates and I were able to purchase a town house, and we were able to become her forever home. We cherish her like our daughter - doting on her, pampering her, loving her - we cherish Chichi and do everything to give her a home she deserves.
That is why we were all alarmed when she was crying in pain and vomiting repeatedly unexpectedly on memorial day weekend. Despite the late hour (it was near midnight), we rushed Chichi 40 minutes away to the nearest late night animal hospital open. Chichi was admitted the Animal ER and was diagnosed with pancreatitis.
After several days of intensive fluids, antibiotics, and pain medications, we are thankful that she is back home happy and healthy. My roommates, her primary financial guardians, are unaware that I am trying to raise money to help them with the unexpected and expensive vet bill. While we all work, its barely enough to cover our own living expenses on a daily basis. Needless to say, they didn’t even hesitate in choosing to put the $1,200 bill on their credit card, but it will make their bills incredibly tight for several months. They already cut me a significant discount in rent and cover most of the food costs as I myself have a very limited income. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
I want to help any way I can to help the people who helped me save her life both by bringing her to live with us, unflinchingly taking her to emergency care, and to helping me get through college debt and a bad job market.
Please consider helping these selfless people and wonderful kitty, and signal boost to help spread the word.
Thank you
