Emerald Skies is out!

So it turns out I was able to deliver on my promise after all! Let's just hope this isn't as glitchy and incomplete as no man's sky though huh

The story of Wallace's continuing adventures finally comes to life as his newest challenge is a criminal team in an all-new original region called Auros. He must work together with his team of skilled Pokemon trainers to face up against the dominating Team Victory who don't play fair against them. They claim they want to protect the region - but is everything as simple as it seems to be in Auros?

(If any of the download links in the post don't work, please check the online manual to see if there are updated links! Also you only need to download the game once - the multiple links are there just in case one of them doesn’t work.)

You do not need to install anything - just unzip into a folder and play! However it is only normally compatible on Windows. If you have a Mac, there are instructions HERE on creating a Windows virtual machine so you can play the game.

Or if you'd like, you can come join us on a post-release livestream! Since this is a very long game (twice the length of Emerald Origins!) it'll be a two-part stream. I haven't chosen the dates yet but please check this blog and the livestream link for updates. For now I have set the dates to 19th and 20th May but this is subject to change. Watch out for further announcements!

EMERALD ORIGINS IS OUT!

Emerald Origins is a short game with the Pokemon gameplay system, intended to mix both my art and fic writing media and turn it into an interactive experience in the form of a game. You play as Wallace with a fixed team and fixed moveset as he journeys throughout Hoenn in a semi-linear fashion.

The story takes place around almost 10 years prior to the events of RSE/ORAS - while it could be seen as an AU, it has been written to potentially fit the canon events of RSE and ORAS. The bond between Wallace and Steven is explored while Wallace also has to struggle between his dreams and duties as a Sootopolitan, and understanding the true meaning of strength.

EMERALD ORIGINS LIVESTREAM TAKING PLACE ON THE 9TH OF APRIL!

EXCITING NEWS! Emerald Origins, the Pokemon gaming project I have been working on for the past few weeks, is set to be released on the 8th April! What is Emerald Origins all about? It is a prequel to Pokemon RSE and ORAS following the adventures of the future champions of Hoenn, Wallace and Steven.

On top of that, I will be holding a live stream event of playing the game in celebration. However it’s also because the game requires a Windows operating system, and I know quite a couple of people interested are on Macs, so this is your chance to check it out if you are unable to play the game! The livestream will take place at 8pm (GMT+1) on the 9th April* right over here on my Youtube.

* Streaming time and date is subject to change - any updates will be made on this blog and on the video link. (If you’re not sure about timezones, the link has a counter to let you know when the stream will begin. Also if you cannot make it, Youtube should have a recording of the stream up later on so you can still watch it.)

I cannot wait to share the game with you all, and I hope to see you guys on Saturday’s stream!
