hi its me, that one person who submitted those Skyclan designs on the skyclan blog awhile ago, I’ve returned and Im still not sure how to draw cats but I think im getting better

These were really fun to do but I fucked up the size and couldn’t change it so I added notes about Design Choices to fill up empty space, sorry if my handwriting isn’t too great haha

Cherry and Maple may not be the most realistic or genetically possible but theyre cute I like em

im getting Big Lesbian Vibes from cherryfoot and junipercloud

Juniper is just super friendly! Cherryfoot is a little too young for her. Juniper’s been a warrior for a good minute now and Cherry is just a little immature for her. Junipercloud does have that sort of personality that can come off as maybe being just a little too friendly, but her suffix definitely matches her nature. Many a cat at a gathering has incorrectly assumed that she’s been flirting with them.

Since Firestar is no longer Squirrelflight's father and she starts out as a warrior, I assume that means he won't be playing the same "overprotective father" role?

Nope! Overprotective father is normally a boring trope anyway. 

Dustpelt and Teaselfoot are her positive male role models, with Dustpelt having been her mentor and Teaselfoot her uncle. Cherryfoot is pretty rebellious, and Dustpelt did a good job of herding that when she was an apprentice. She’s still a nasty little rebel, but much less annoying about it.

I’m actually pretty excited to get into writing her a little more! I hope you guys like her revamp as much as I do.

Would Cherryfoot and Maplepaw be classified as cinnamon torties?

Going off what I see on google, no. Keep in mind I’m not very good at genetics and I tend to defer to other people when it comes to how cat colours work. I don’t think either of their parents would carry cinnamon, either. They’re both pretty dark (with Cherry having more dark patches than Maple) and look pretty similar.

is there any Intended Purpose of Cherryfoot being the only protag without yellow eyes? i was about to draw The Squad and noticed that they all have golden/yellow eyes but she has green idk im looking too deep into this

Intended purpose was I drew colours out of my ass and my subconscious is plotting some casual green eyed symbolism.
