Antoinette entered the cafe and the bell on top of the door jingled. The cafe was a little more crowded then usual because of the bazaar, but that wasn't going to turn Antoinette away from some much needed lunch. She walked up to the counter and stared at the deserts on display in the glass. When she saw Marian approach the counter she gave her a small smile, "Good afternoon, Marian. Did you get in any more Cherry Tea yet?"
It’d been a busy morning at the cafe. Nothing that would have typically overwhelmed Marian, but she hadn’t slept well last night, so she felt more stressed than she normally might. Already she’d forgotten to give complimentary water to one customer, and to another, she’d brought tomato salad instead of herb salad - such a simple order. She couldn’t believe she’d fowled that up.Still, as always, she kept the smile on her face, but it grew when she saw Antoinette walk into the cafe - finally, a regular. Listening to the young lady’s request, she racked her brain to try and remember, and then did…"We haven’t finished unpacking this week’s shipment, but I can check in just a few moments" Her voice held a bit of a distracted quality, and her gaze carried over to one of the tables by the window, where an impatient looking man appeared to be finished with his meal and tapping his fingers, waiting for a check.Bringing her full attention back to Antoinette, she retrieved the order notepad and pen from her apron, out of habit, reverting to attentive server. "Would you like some soup while you wait? Today we have radish or pumpkin."
