banters with childe is something you look forward to. you find his reactions amusing, especially when he displays competitiveness. sometimes, banters would lead to tickle fights where the loser gets to fulfill five dares.
you rest your elbow on the bridge rail, admiring the view of the ocean as you wait for childe's arrival. a light pat falls into your head, fingers lightly curling on your hair and you turn to see childe by your side.
"you're pretty early today," he says, smiling down at you. "excited to see me?"
"nope, you're just five minutes late," you reply holding up your clock.
childe laughs at your remark. "since when were you particular with time?"
"since i began running delivery errands at the inn," you reply. "so why did you call me out here?"
childe drops his smile and fixates his gaze on the ocean in front. childe locks his fingers together and sighs. "i have bad news."
"what is it?" childe sighs one more time before turning to meet your eyes.
"i'm leaving for snezhnaya tonight," he answers.
"is that even bad news?" you wrapped your arms around your stomach as you burst out of laughter. "you have to work on your acting if you want to fool me, childe."
"you surely know how to make me feel special." he playfully rolls his eyes and chuckles. but he was serious, though. he's leaving for snezhnaya tonight and he does not know how long it would take for him to come back. he watches you laugh your heart out when an idea comes into his mind.
he pokes your side and you jump in surprise, grinning when you got the message. "i see how it is," you say. "i hope you're prepared to do five dares, dummy."
"and i hope you're prepared to pack your things and come with me to snezhnaya because i have no plans on losing this time."
