After losing his arm, Gordon spent most of his time trying to keep it looking human, and ended up as little more than dead weight to the science team. He was lucky Tommy took the lead, but while the others were distracted with fighting or wayfinding, Benrey hovered close to him, needling him about his arm. It almost seemed as if he knew this wasn't how Gordon's arm should look.

Darnold gave Gordon an excuse.
