I'm not sure if you remember, my sister wrote you an anonymous message (she was diagnosed with cancer)
unfortunately she passed away this morning but in her last moments she..smiled.
You know, I wasn't an Anime Fan at all. But since her passing this moment I scrolled through her phone. She loved Bsd with her whole heart and she really loved your art. So I want to thank you. She will live through your art for me❤️ and I myself decided I want to watch it for her in memory of her
Her name was Ophelia, she was 16. Her favourite was Dazai. She said the way you drew him gave her strength. Also in her last moments.
Your artwork is so amazing and helped me really through this difficult day
First of all, I am so so so sorry for replying to this so late, I was genuinely so snowed under with work, but at the same time, I wanted this reply to be my first post after my hiatus because I didn't want it to come off as me ignoring this ask-
To begin with, when I first read this ask, I was genuinely very emotional and at a loss for words. I know no amount of words of sympathy could ever truly carry the weight of these emotions, but I truly feel so sorry for your loss, even if I just am a stranger on the internet. I could only wish for the best for you and your family; this is truly a tough and tragic time to go through. Stay strong, and look ahead.
I don't think I can properly express this in words, but I feel very honored and even almost undeserving for how much she's loved my art. I'm truly grateful that she's found happiness and strength in it, and grateful for a fan like her.
I hope you're able to love bsd with all your heart and continuously find solace in my art, just as I will continue making art for all of you- and myself❤️
This is my last gift for Ophellia, thank you for being a fan. May you rest in peace ❤️❤️
