“No,” Peter said firmly even as his scowl threatened to break into a wide grin. The Chibi was truly too adorable. “You’re too impatient, let me cook it first.” Wade seemed to shrink into himself at Peter’s words, bringing the fabric back over his head again. Peter frowned at that, pausing from where he’d dumped a bit of the batter into the frying pan. As it sizzled, he stepped back over to Wade. “I didn’t mean that in a bad way,” Peter reassured him softly, pushing the fabric off of his head with a finger. He let his palm glide over Wade, grinning at the way Wade seemed to really enjoy that. He was making sounds again, a weird growly rumble that would be scary if it wasn’t clear that it was a happy sound.
