Another thing AI has ruined: fun, silly, light-hearted jokes about wanting to finish my writing immediately
Me: Ugh, it takes so long, I wish I could just write the whole thing at once so it was out of my brain *remembers AI exists now* BUT NOT LIKE THAT
some pdfs are dusty. this is a fact despite their lack of physicality. you understand
it's pretty easy to imagine that you are one of some fractional holdout against AI while everyone else has fallen into some misguided love affair with LLMs, and I am so happy to tell you that this is not the case.
the US public is deeply suspicious of AI's impacts on jobs and education. Kamala Harris and the Republican party are both polling better than AI. 8/10 gen zers are concerned about AI's impact on education and only 18% are positive about this technology. there is widespread, bipartisan grassroots organizing against data centers. 97% of Britons are against Grok's "undressing" technology. the majority of Americans are concerned about AI in arenas like self-driving vehicles and healthcare. Even polling data from companies centered on AI shows significant concern around generative technology. OpenAI isn't meeting internal growth bench posts. On top of all that, Musk and Altman are currently both making fools of themselves in a very public trial.
โShould we stop them?โ
โLetโs waitโฆ one more incense time.โ

Prompt for sandypadandyy on bluesky! For them, here I offer Husbands being distracted by their fighting drenched spouses.
Dahling you simply must read this book! Itโs all about this devious little caterpillar who simply gorges himself on all manner of divine things
She is beautiful, Kate. She looks like you. Probably not as damaged. So Iโm going to give you a chance to save her.

In any other show Peter would have been the protagonist anti hero(if it werenโt for those meddling kids!)
After kiling Kate Peter lets them kill him, he was stronger, faster [much faster] and they managed to take him down
n
I talk a lot of shit about GRRM but in one of his finished works, he has a vampire that is so old that he is barely alive any more and both yearns and fears death, he wants his death to matter, to make his life matter so he picks fights, but heโs so old and so strong, that he wants to die but the animal part of him clings to life, and that is the central conceit of the novel [whose name has fallen out of my head
but thatโs how i see Peter in that fight, heโs lost everything, his revenge was empty and his pack is gone and even derek has turned on him so he wants to die, but that animal part of him wants to live, even if its just for a moment - thatโs why its important he tells Derek to kill him
this is a man who lost everything and fixated on revenge and might have killed but is definitely responsible for her death, and gets revenge, kills the person who started the fire, who raped his nephew, and it changes nothing,
heโs a tragic figure, but Scott sees him as a villain -and Iโve seen more than one movie where a character who went through what he did was the hero, but they donโt show the emptiness after, when thereโs nothing left except the banality of daily existence without them
Peter chose death because he saw that emptiness - but that animal part of him didnโt want to die so he fought - sort of
i really do think about this video every single time iโm on the freeway

How has this comic made such a groundbreaking cultural impact without getting over 40k notes
Happy over 100k notes to this cultural wonder
I just remembered that this was a thing that was HILARIOUS in 2006 and apparently that was ten years ago now.
Old people: join with me in remembering how funny we found this on LiveJournal.
Young people: look at this lolrus, itโs so happy, it has a bucket.
And then they stealed away the bucket and we realised we had fucked up a perfectly good elephant seal and given it anxiety.
listen this vintage meme is high quality and i will hear nothing said against it
