When my time for the marathon didn’t qualify for the 2018 marathon :(
A little over a year ago I made a promise to myself to run the Chicago Marathon after volunteering for it for several years. I told myself I'd run not only for myself, but to help others which lead me to run as part of #TeamDiabetes under the American Diabetes Association. I'm so proud of the all the hours of training and Miles I put in for my first marathon. So here's to always going for what you want and reaching your goals. You can catch me out there with Bid number 8805 this Sunday. /// #ChicagoMarathon #ChicagoMarathon2017 #FirstMarathon #MyLegsDoe #BoAMarathon #Running #RunForestRun #Goals #ADA #Marathon #Nike #NikeTrainingClub (at McCormick Place)

How did it all turn out? Read on for my experience at the #chicagomarathon2017!
“…Chicago is. One town that won’t let you down. It’s my kind of town” -Frank Sinatra
29 neighborhoods. 26.2 miles. That’s the Chicago Marathon.
I’m not sure I counted 29 neighborhoods though, so I may have that wrong. However, I have to say the experience of running through an amazing city like Chicago is something I am really going to cherish. I come from Boston, which is a pretty cool city. Up…

Week sixteen: Acceptance
Late on the post, but part 1 of the conclusion of #chicagomarathon2017 training
“I’ve learned that finishing a marathon isn’t just an athletic achievement. It’s a state of mind; a state of mind that says anything is possible.” -John Hanc
I know this post is late…my last few weeks have been a whirlwind as I finished up my training and actually ran the Chicago marathon. This last week ends with my final long run – 26.2.
This final week the training is taken down a bit, with the…
