So my family has a dozen or so (maybe more) chickens, and one time we went to buy more from some random farm in the middle of no where. We thought they only had chickens, but it turned out the family had goats, ducks, geese, and A FUCKING PEACOCK. His name was Lawrence. I literally got to pet a peacock named Lawrence.

Also, the geese chased me while we were there and it was legit the most terrifying thing ever and now I can't go anywhere near geese which is a problem bc my campus has a lake and geese flock to the damn thing.

OMG honestly I cannot think of a better name for a peacock than Lawrence. So regal. Was Lawrence chill? Like he just... let you pet him? That’s so coooool.

Also ksdljf I gotta say, like I love and respect geese ya know they’re doing their thing but... they are not the most, how should I say, friendly towards other species.. getting chased by geese really does sound so terrifying. I think are you choosing the right course of action by staying far away tbh... 

let’s talk about chickens (and roosters) (cow stories would also be welcome i’ll branch out a lil) (or gryles chicken headcannons) (or goats or any other creature you all have the best stories wow)

My favorite thing about watermelon time with the chickens is that my giant idiot rooster will:

1. Pull a little chunk off the watermelon.

2. Walk 1 foot away.

3. Drop the watermelon bit on the ground, covering it with dirt.

4. Tidbit at the hens, enticing them to come eat his dirt covered watermelon morsel that he 'found'

The hens are of course ignoring him because they are 1 foot away, tearing a watermelon apart.

One day I will catch the stupid audacity on video.
