Last night when I went to feed my chickens I thought I’d take a couple of pictures of myself at one of my happy places. I often take a selfie at the river or if places that look a little more of someone’s traditional happy place like the beach or whatever. But I barely feature @thegoodlife_atplot8 on this feed. Yet it’s part of my day every day! Its my retreat before dinner. Feed the chicks dig a few weeds watch them head up to bed then it’s home for the dinner time chaos. Yet sometimes I feel like it doesn’t fit the insta chic vibe (is that even a thing). My plot is a work in progress so a little untidy. But today I’m throwing caution to the wind and saying it’s ok to have a quirky passion. It’s ok to have a messy plot. It’s ok if your office desk isn’t instaworthy. If it makes you smile then go ahead and post it. If it brings you joy and you are passionate about it shout about it. You never know who else shares your passions. #chickentherapythursday Today is ALL about the chicken's! Volunteer work down at the bird farm, along with looking after my own ❤ So many people I speak to are scared or afraid of birds/chickens but actually when you spend time with them they are beautiful funny little things! They are like mini raptors with a huge heart! They are very nosy and inquisitive, always want to see what your doing and will follow you everywhere in case you have a treat in your pocket! The NEW desk is IN!!! I AM SO HAPPY! I now have my crystals next to me, ready for when I need help, support and comfort! The rest of the house is a complete mess! Its amazing how much stuff has to be moved around just to replace one thing 🤣.... Do you find that when you need to tidy stuff up you make more of a mess first before you can see the wood through the trees and it's clear again.... Or is that just me???? So its the start of the weekend.... I'm ready for some family time! Its been a long week this week and the kids are definitely ready for some down time. Time to play and relax with no pressure of school, and with an ease on the routine! Now I have made a start on my new cleaning and organising schedule! I'm excited to start it from Monday. I'm hoping it will give me some grounding, and be more time efficient. DAY 1 (technically day 5) .... So as I only just found out yesterday that its national chicken month I am bring you every day a snippet of life with my ladies! A chickens natural urge is to scratch for food, bugs etc and so every morning I go out and sprinkle some of their layer pellets into the ground and mix it up. It keeps them occupied for hours. I add in seeds, meal worms, sweetcorn, dried corn, veg and basically else i have left into it aswell.
