Sometimes, when someone says you’ve laid an egg, it is a good thing!

“Hey! Who swiped my work of art?”

The last three eggs in the shot are from the Pyncheon girls, their first ever eggs! Tiny hens, tiny eggs. (The eggs at the top are regular medium size eggs, and the center eggs are from the Ameraucana bantams.)

Figs calls a timeout while the play is reviewed, Papaya has accused Pitaya of pecking on the field.

(Figs will win, Figs always wins. Prinny, despite being a bit bigger, lacks the confidence to stand her ground. Figs lacks in nothing.)

Bumble and her moms (on perch above) discuss the scandalous effrontery of the “new girls” helping themselves to  the food dish that clearly belongs to the “Established Flock”.

Unimpressed with the chatter from the perch above, Morgaine, Papaya and Pitaya check to see if the offerings are any better in the Beak Bunk than in the temporary quarters.

We are making progress, the new girls are starting to want to explore their new home, and the established flock is begrudgingly allowing them to do so without literally ruffling any feathers.
