Momo awoke to his alarm beeping next to his bed. He rolled over and shut it off, lazily rubbing his eyes. Another day at school, another day of practice and boring lessons, anothe-wait! He lifted his wrist to look at it, his excitement building as he saw the numbers.
FINALLY! He thought. The day was today. Today he would meet his soulmate. Jumping off his bed, he climbed on top of Nitori, shaking him awake. "Senpai! Nitori-senpai! Today is the day!" The other boy couldn't possibly understand Momotarou's excitement. His countdown had been at 00:00:00 since before Momo had met him, but he never told anyone who it was. But that didn't matter to Momo. Because today he was going to meet his soulmate.
This class could not take any longer. He had already been sent to the principal in his third class because he couldn't focus and sit still in his seat. Now hewas sent back and forced to endure...something. Honestly, Momo wasn't even sure what class it was. What if she's taller than me? What if she doesn't like my hair? What if they're a he? It's fine, but... Momo thought on and on. He just wanted to know who this person was.
Momo was pretty dissapointed when it wasn't Gou-san. Yeah, she was cute, and he would have really liked that. But he had had to wait a couple more months after meeting her.
Momo looked back and forth from his wrist to the clock. The teachers paid him no mind anymore. They could tell it was hopeless. Taking another look at the countdown, Momo realized something. I'll meet them while I am at swim practice? Must be someone new coming...
Momo tapped at the countdown, seeing if it changed. There was just the normal swim team members here today. The Iwatobis were coming, but Momo had already met all of them. Deciding it must be wrong, Momo pulled up on the starting block. Yeah, he was disappointed, but it happened sometimes. His teammate that was timing his yelled to start, and Momo launched himself back into the water.
He was finished running laps climbed out of the water. He had beat his time, and was now timing for another teammate. Taking one last glance at his wrist, Momo dismissed the thought. It was obviously wrong.
Momo's specialty was backstroke, and his teammates definitely wasn't. "You have to stretch your arms out more, though it is your kicking that propels you. That is what you have to foc--watch out!" Momo reached out and grabbed the girl that his teammate had run into, saving her from being knocked into the pool. The...girl? A NEW girl? that Momo had never met before. Momo couldn't help but stare at he in surprise. No...it couldn't be...
"I,ah, uhm…i-is yours zeros too?" She asked, obviously flustered. Coming back to earth, Momo's eyes snapped to his wrist. Sure enough...
Grabbing her wrist, he looked at hers, which matched his. He was not able to believe that he could have this good of luck. No one could have this good of luck! It just didn't exist!
"Momotarou Mikoshiba! First year! I like your ears! I mean...nose! And...wait...I guess, I like all of you! AT least, I will, right?"
