More often than not Gaster enjoyed taking a visit to Snowdin in his free time. The brisk frost that nipped at his face and the crunch of crystalline snow underfoot reminded him of his old home atop on the surface; it had been such a long time ago since then though. Centuries, even. He hadn’t seen a human in ages either.
Humans. The Royal Scientist passed by Doggo’s post while strolling on, too deep in thought to notice the dog offer a soon faltering wave.
They were such interesting creatures with so many sides to them. Some were benevolent, others malicious. While a few killed, a few healed. Murderers, optimists, kind, cruel, confused, innocent - it was a wonder to him that they were all the same species when they were all so unique to one another.
Gaster contemplated this so thoughtfully, lost in his own mind, that he didn’t see the tiny figure on the path in front of him.
“Oof!” He stumbled over them, managing to maintain his balance. Unfortunately the same could not be said for the one he had so rudely barreled into. A young child was sprawled out onto the snow before him; a hushed, soft gasp escaped Gaster before he kneeled beside the human, concern immediate in his apologetic expression.
“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention at all! Are you quite alright, young one?”
