I love how I’m an adult and I am being bullied by my coworkers in the exact form I was bullied in middle and high school. Like why have y’all not grown up?

Don't leave your name badges layin' around
After dinner we took a short cut through The Willard Hotel to get to the theater. The Willard just happened to be hosting a few lawyer conferences/parties where name badges were required. One guy (I'm assuming. The name was weird but sounded man-ish) decided to leave his badge on a table while taking a trip to the bathroom. It's almost as of he was asking for someone to take it and assume his identity. So, thanks for the badge man I didn't pretend to be you but I did where it for a while and now it's hanging on my wall
Office politics - standing up for yourself without it ending up career suicide
Well, I have had a good dose of office politics recently. And I have got to say, I am not a fan. Such antics are quite telling. This past week I have seen senior staff acting like children; employing behaviours like the silent treatment, no eye contact, and blunt emails. Honestly! By standing up for myself at work I ended up on the receiving end of those behaviours. I now know the types of people I am dealing with and it isn't inspiring. I know that isn't the type of employee or manager I want to be as I build my career. My view of these people has changed overnight. I wonder what this week will bring...
