Maintenance Discipline: Sent to detention room with a reading assignment
I received another reminder of the ongoing discipline imposed by the revised rules for my behaviour, activities and dress yesterday evening.
In front of other members of our Church visiting our house I was sent to detention to read Autumn Term by Antonia Forest which is a traditional girl's reading book.
I had to remain in detention until I had completed reading the whole book, and answered questions posed by my mother-in-law to ensure I had read the childish novel fully, before being allowed to return and join our visitors.
It was an exceedingly humiliating experience but reminded me again that my childish and selfish misbehaviour means that I am now subject to more ongoing discipline appropriate to my immaturity,
