  Holding his hand to his forehead to shield the sun, the boy took a look around the thickly wooded forest, observing a clearing big enough for around two or three tents and a nice fire. They had passed a pretty sizable river not too long ago, so food shouldn’t be an issue if they ran out.

  Setting down the large pack of camping supplies, he tapped his chin and glanced over at Krillin, inquiring.

  “D’you think this is a good spot?” Even if not, he wanted to take a little break anyways, they hadn’t been hiking for long, but it was always nice to stop and observe the scenery.

//Why do people hate on Chibiusa?

In the original anime Chibiusa is portrayed a lot differently then she is in the manga, especially if you take the original English dub into consideration. Instead of the storyline quickly revealing the truth behind her actions - the future being attacked by the Black Moon clan, her entire kingdom being destroyed and both her parents being put into comas causing her to be distrustful and act out of desperation, they drag on with filler episodes where Chibiusa is bratty, spoiled and tends to try to get in between Usagi and Mamoru, the former giving in to feelings of jealousy even though it’s a little girl. Unfortunately this also happens during the ‘breakup arc’ in which Mamoru is plagued by nightmares that Usagi will die if they get too close, so Mamoru spends a lot of time with Chibiusa.

Even after they find out that Chibiusa is their future daughter, Usagi and Chibiusa tend to fight more then they connect, which makes their relationship seem more strained then anything. Although Usagi is also childish in this aspect, Chibiusa takes a lot of the blame in the community and thus a lot of people have mixed feelings about her.

I for one love the little pink haired bugger, and much prefer the mother/daughter relationship they gain in the manga as time goes by. There’s multiple instances of them all sleeping in the same bed together and it makes me really happy.
