Do you have any knowledge on Nuclear Throne? If yes, do you have anything that you like about it? (Characters/concept/areas/whatever)
I know a little bit about Nuclear Throne, actually. I’ve seen pieces of gameplay and several of the characters (who are all very cute!), but I haven’t really been that interested in playing it yet. I’m sure if I watch more gameplay footage and get a better understanding of how the game works I’d be interested in giving it a try~
Totally make more critters. They're adorable and precious. And are to die for in an art style like yours.
Critters are one of my top favorite things to draw when I have no idea what to draw and it’s good character design practice even if I never end up using them in any way. Trust me there’ll always be more comin’~
Actually I think I have a few unfinished critter renders from a few months ago I should see if they’re still salvageable and worth posting.
Quickly reading over your tastes of games, I gotta know. What're your thoughts on Cave Story? Has anyone asked yet?
Cave Story is one of my FAVORITE games of all time! I first played it back when the fan translated patch was originally released way back in 2006; that game alone is probably what introduced me to the concept of independent games. Everything about that game is perfect, from the characters to the levels to the gameplay and story.

You got any tips for drawing Dr. Fetus out? How/where do you start?
Ah geez, I have no idea on how to explain my drawing process… really he’s just a detailed square so starting with that usually works fine.
Here, instead of trying to figure out how to explain, have a line-by-line process gif of a quick doodle!
This is mainly for when I just want to do really quick things with him. You can also do detailed sketches for more complex poses to get those right.
SPEAKING OF POSES since he’s basically a square with limbs and a hat it can be tricky to get him in more action oriented poses, so it’s fine to curve the lines of his body like rubber to get him the way you want. There’s only so much you can do with straight lines!
Personally I try to mimic the in-game cutscene style, but I still try to apply my own unique touch to it so I can get him to do things his cutscene model couldn’t be able to do.
ANYWAY I don’t know if this helps but there you go! Just keep trying things until you find a method that works for you. Then draw a bunch of Dr Fetuses the world needs more art of him~ <3
