happy vesak day from borobudur temple in central java, indonesia ♡ sabbe satta bhavantu sukhitatta. may all be blessed with happiness, semoga semua mahkluk berbahagia.

as per tradition, indonesian buddhists along with citizens of all age and religions commemorate this national holiday with wishes and prayers through thousands of flying lanterns over borobudur temple. this whole event of celebration is deeply missed, after being postponed for two years due to pandemic.

buddham saranam gacchami, om mani padme hum. may our souls continue to be filled with kindness, truth, and compassion for every beings ♡

indonesian voice actresses for raya and the last dragon are so epic that disney could straight away make real action casts out of them. this is amazing.

they're such perfect casts. the makeup and hair artist, fashion stylist, photographers and set designer did an incredible job for their whole look!

my women here are all wearing outfits with indonesian batik; ancient technique of wax-resist fabric dyeing. it's recognized by UNESCO in list of masterpiece of oral and intangible heritage of humanity.

mikha and ayu both have mega mendung pattern for their batik, while eva has parang pattern for hers－i believe it's a gareng one, combined of cantel, seling warna or curigo variation.

the pattern choice is very fitting for their characters and movie symbolisms. mega mendung is a phrase that literally translated as cloud which contains rain (cloudy). parang in batik means slope, visually depicts a line descending diagonally, its infinitely intertwined s-shaped lines (taken from ocean waves) symbolizes continuity, describing unrelenting spirit.

as an indonesian, i'm so proud of these women for achieving their dreams－eva especially, she's my idol! eva and mikha are hugely known as musician, while ayu is a presenter and comedian. the dub will be released in june 4th, 2021 on disney+ hotstar. also, regarding the music of this movie:

if you listen to a female voice being the lead singer for "trust again", that's my beloved raisa andriana, while the one singing for "kita bisa" is madame via vallen. these two are iconic indonesian divas, both performed in asian games 2018 opening ceremony.

aaargh. their visual is just so phenomenonal ♡ i'm so hyped for the dub release!

i practically grow up with these women. truly can't wait to listen to their voices in this movie that my cousins love to watch repeatedly over and over again!

BTS meets the robots of Boston Dynamics is a dream come true, for real. i still can't believe this.

now let's wait for detroit: become human plotline to actually happen where robots replaces human lmao

the future is really here. i have been watching Boston Dynamic's line of machines since last year, and when this pops up on my youtube, i was like no fucking way－it's my boys, with the robots, under Hyundai's flag.

the world is shaking. you don't know how much happiness this promotional footages gives me. i'm a huge nerd of mecha ever since i was a child (hence the love for sci-fi and cyberpunk aesthetics).

this is like, the greatest thing to watch on my birthday after tiring weeks of june. not that i have the need to own electric car or mechanical assistant, but still, this is fascinating to the eyes.

been feeding myself inspirations from detroit: become human for zukaang sci-fi fanwork (which actually works but i forgot not to dwelve too deeply again because the detroit fandom is mesmerizing) and i think i'll finally release the last one big fanart of cinematic modern au of zukaang this july. it's the month of my birthday, after all. from there, it's zukaang week and the fanfiction illustration project.

here irl, since may this year, many more people are affected by more loss due to covid. it's hard to watch many of my mutuals on sns sharing bad news after bad news of their deceased－forever be dearly missed－loved ones, buried under soils and flowers.

it's so surreal to acknowledge several things, like how some of my cliques are now fatherless or motherless. me and my core family lives in a relatively safe and remote green zone away from the virus, thankfully, but we still have jobs that demands us to travel to yellow, red, and black zone areas.

paranoia is something we'll always wake up to. it's mentally exhausting to survive and knowing you can collapse at any second. take care, please, my babies ♡ i'm gonna dive into zukaang tags again in my birthday to cheer my soon to be 25 yo brain up uwu

it's such a solemn day of buddha in year of 2565, despite the difficult situation.

i'm gonna miss seeing the sky lanterns if this pandemic situation keeps going 😣 a scenery that i wish to capture in my drawing someday, being so far away from central java.

even though the borobudur temple, viharas and the public institutions are still closed now that karya bhakti and dharmasanti cannot be done as usual, thank you for adhering to health protocols by commemorating at your home with the guide of social institutions or training and education center.

i believe we can still achieve the virtue of our social deeds by staying at home, thus saving lives in this pandemic situation for everyone around us ♡

through the puja offerings, i wish that all the good things that you have done today or in the past brings prosperity and happiness to all of you forever ♡ the same hope for the ancestors and the late family members of yours; may peace be given to them in their rest, and to us who are still alive.
