Expat Women’s Anthology, “How Does One Dress To Buy Dragonfruit,” launches June 5

Over a year ago I learned my story on being Jewish in China had been chosen to feature in an anthology of female expat experiences in Asia.

Eighty-six women submitted and 26 stories were chosen, so I feel delighted to be among those whose stories will be available to the public beginning June 5.

Had a lovely time last night at Holy Grounds Coffee & Tea!

I got the opportunity to meet local artists and to share the stories of my Asia photos up for sale. The silent auction raised funds for World Down Syndrome Day and it was really nice to see families with children with down syndrome come through and enjoy the event.

There were a few musicians who played a variety of genres, and the entire atmosphere in the outside courtyard made for a great time!

I wasn’t carrying my phone around with me for the evening so I only have a handful of pictures, but what I do have captures the essence of the event. Click on the thumbnails for full size photos and captions.
