Good morning everyone! Last #CNY2023 design for this year. Who loves those lunar new year candy box? Me! Every time I see these candy box I immediately thought about “Chinese New Year! Alamo Candy Co....one of my favorite places. It smells so good in there...
Childhood throwback to these candies! Does anyone else know me or used to eat them? I thought I’d google the ingredients just to make sure they didn’t have anything funky in them. Turns out, aside from the sugar and preservatives it has Hawthorn berry which is full of antioxidants, can lower blood pressure, decrease blood fats, have anti inflammatory properties, aid digestion, helps prevent hair loss, used to treat heart failure and can reduce anxiety. Why did I ever stop eating them 😂😂 #hawthornflakes #hawflakes #chinesefood #chinesecandy (at Glen Waverley, Victoria, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8iF3CXHSGw5qawnfgVxBAl0C0k9w6p1f8L6-E0/?igshid=6kpcgof52gz6

I remember my Mom used to get this for me at the Vietnamese & Chinese Supermarkets & used to eat the majority of the bag when i was a Kid. Glad they are still making my favorite Chinese Candy today after all these years. :D #WhiteRabbit #WhiteRabbitCreamyCandy #MyFavoriteChineseCandy #大白兔奶糖 #ChineseCandy #ChildhoodCandy #LoveBeingAChineseKid #LoveBeingAVietnameseKid #Nostalgia (at Hmart)
I remember when I was a little girl, I’d make sure I got some with me every Sunday and I’d pretend I’m a Priest and hoist saying, “Body Of Christ” to my “church people”😊🙏🏻💜 #hawflakes #hawflakescandy #chinesecandy (at Hong Kong)
#Hawflakes. I was given this late last year and haven't eaten it in likely 20 years and more. Still tastes good. #childhood #tasteslikechildhood #chinesecandy #haw Definition from wikipedia: Hawflakes, shānzhābǐng (Chinese: 山楂餅) are Chinese sweets made from the fruit of the Chinese hawthorn. The dark pink candy is usually formed into discs two millimeter thick, and packaged in cylindrical stacks with label art resemblant of Chinese fireworks. Some Chinese people take the flakes with bitter Chinese herbal medicine.
