It was rare that things stuck with the Halfling the way this feeling had. A hand rose to her right ear -- now healed thanks to the efforts of Lady Ceylon Grey -- remembering the pain, remembering what happened thereafter. Memories that caused her to shudder. That place, that unknown realm, it was foul and it was certainly a place she had no wish to return to. A realm full of cold unyielding darkness, a home to creatures both unknown and undead.
A place into which she had been thrown against her own will.
Lowering her hand again, she shook her head. An attempt to remove the jarring thoughts that plagued her. She had been rash, she had panicked and that was something she would never admit to anyone. Ever. Not even her closest friends would learn of this. No to them, the fresh wound on her left hand would be seen as nothing more than the little Halflings determination to set things right again.
Experimentally, she moved the fingers on her hand, opening and closing them into a fist. Wincing slightly as she did so. “Yeah, definitely a stupid idea this,” She muttered to herself as she set about rebandaging the appendage. “Probably shoulda got the Tea Lady to look at this too...”
