If it's okay to ask, how old are Sig, Bea and Happy?
I've been listening to this podcast on repeat for weeks and I can't shake off the "burnt out gifted kid" vibes I have from Bea...
First of all, glad you've been enjoying the show :)
Second of all, I actually answered this question recently and I don't mind answering again! They're all roughly in their 20s with Happy being closer to late mid 20s (like 25-27), Sig is solidly in his mid 20s (24-25), and Bea is the youngest (like 22-24).
And when I say that Happy is 25-27 I mean that, if he were a human he'd be 25-27. He's an Abberant One and time doesn't flow linearly in the Abyss so he wouldn't be able to say, "I'm X years old," like a human person would be able to, but socially, by the standards of his people, he's treated like he's in his mid 20s and that's what he looks like. This actually comes up in Season 3.
(To anyone who has watched The Good Place, I think if Happy got to the part where Michael is explaining Jeremy Bearimy, he'd just nod sagely like yeah, makes total sense.)
And I think Bea was def feeling some burnout before she ended up in Solegard. Her doing grad school applications to me feels like it was coming from a place of, "Can I avoid/escape the work force for a long time and defer my student loans?" more than really wanting to go to grad school for computer stuff. But she loves learning and Hexwell gives her a chance to do that in an environment where she doesn't have to worry about debt or rent or the realities of the IRL job market. She does have to worry about the Forest of Death but that's *way* less stressful to her, lol.
