i drew this before AHAKHGAKGHAKA its set post game, in game would be interesting to explore too ohhh....
i also have this which isnt exactly mcd but hes almost there ohhhhh
I love how your art looks !!!
And I was wondering what brush you use for line art ?? (I don't know why, but I love it lmao)
ohhhh thank you so much ! 💕
I wish i had an answer for you but sadly i downloaded this brush pack on my old laptop and don't have the original file anymore to back track the source. I do know that it is just a soft pastel brush from a watercolor pack i got off of gumroad in 2022 that I use at very small size to make it more opaque. I think originally it was meant as a rendering brush but it just fits what i wanted in a pencil feel so thats how i use it LMAOOOO
I used to draw with exclusively soft graphite pencils (6b or 8b) in my irl sketchbooks so thats what I tried to look for in finding a photoshop brush set that worked for me. theres a bunnnccchhh out there its really just try it till you vibe with it fr. every once in a while ill change out my brush for something new but this one has been pretty consistent for the past couple years <3
some of my more textured art is colored with this pastel brush i use for line art too, like my earlier dabihawks stuff :] the texure is really fun i like it a lot, i'll try to see if i can figure out where where the file came from

you draw characters in a lot of different poses all the time- how did you build up familiarity with weird angles that you might not have a reference for, and stuff like that?
Ohhhhh i do a looootttt of in person figure drawing sessions in general and back in university which trains your eye/instinct for overlap and form which helps a lot ! Heres some poses that i pushed that specific skill set
I think knowing shoulder and neck anatomy helps me a lot too because when im starting a pose i almost always start with the angle of the jaw and where the collar bone line is in relation to it. You can kinda tell in these ones that i lead with that and the rest of the pose/expression is just a result of that initial jaw angle
I took an anatomy for the artists class that helped with this a lot since my teacher really pushed how muscles connect and interweave, but mostly the simplification of the forms help when im coming up with poses! This is actually my old teachers website and he has free handouts on muscles and form that made it a lot less daunting to understand :]
Also if you dont have any live figure drawing sessions around you, i lived and breathed this website in college hahsgsafa
But thanks for asking ! At this point i dont actually use a lot of reference anymore for finding poses since its kinda ingrained in my process to explore and push different things to make it work for me. But that just comes with time and a lot a lot a lot of practice :]
