How is it possible to feel sexual attraction if sex leaves you indifferent? I mean I don't feel sexual attraction so the concept is hard to grasp to begin with but even more if you are indifferent about sex? All of this is so very confusing. If I take the sneeze -peppercorn metaphor... a sex indifferent allosexual... would want someone to ''ground up some peppercorns and wave them in their face''... but they dont care... about ''sneezing''...?? HOW and whyyy? why is sexuality so confusing?
You can feel indifferent towards the act of sex the same way you might have strong feelings of friendship towards someone, but also feel indifferent about having a lunch date at Panera. Or, having strong platonic feelings about your parents, but indifferent about a Thanksgiving get-together. Sex is a performance that takes a lot of work, it’s messy, it’s personal, and it’s not for everyone.
Plus, neurodivergence might play a role in someone’s feelings towards sex. Or maybe other bodily boundaries and health. It’s more complicated than can be explained in a single Tumblr ask.
